I took my son for a mum son trip to NZ and an absolute highlight was our tour of Waiheke with Justine! We toured Hobbiton and Rotorua and my 11yr olds highlight of our trip remains feeding the eels on Waiheke. We walked great tracks, did Olive Oil tasting and some shopping. Justine was great - significant knowledge of the island and picked a perfect day. Thank you 🙏

We went on a hike with Justine and Gabrielle while visiting Waiheke Island, and it was a fantastic experience. The amount of information about the island's history was both amazing and engaging. The hike was intense at times, but everyone who joined thoroughly enjoyed it. The thought and care put into the tour were impressive. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning about the island's history. I also appreciated how the tour highlighted eco-friendly practices and efforts to preserve the island’s trees, animals, birds, and the broader New Zealand environment.

With only two people on the tour (it was low season), traveling around the island with our guide Justine felt like we were just hanging out with a friend. The other guest and I were both traveling solo, and with Justine, we got to see everything that made visiting (and living on) the island so wonderful. We began with an easy 1.8 miles walk straight from the ferry terminal, admiring views of the water, outdoor art displays, and some native birds and plants. We even stopped for a few minutes to talk with some locals who are friends of Justine - so again, it felt like we got a really personal tour of the island. We also visited two fabulous vineyards for tastings, picked up a picnic lunch from a cafe that easily accommodated my dietary requirements, enjoyed lunch next to the water, and overall learned a lot about life on the island. Waiheke Island is a beautiful and laid-back place that I would consider staying rather than in Auckland so I could more easily and thoroughly enjoy all the trails and vineyards.

We went on a Private Waiheke Island tour with Maria as our guide. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and made us feel right at home. We can't recommend Terra and Tide enough and can't wait to return to NZ.

We had an amazing Bush Walk and couple of wine tasting visits with Cindy on a sunny Waiheke island in May. Cindy was a brilliant tour guide with a lot of knowledge on local nature and history. We had fantastic conversation all the way while walking and looking at splendid sceneries, eating tasty packed lunch and visiting the vineyards. Thank you Cindy, Waiheke island is definitely a place I would love to visit again.

I have done two tours with Gabrielle. She is fantastic and passionate about her job and the Waiheke community. I did the art tour and a bush walk, and it was so gratifying to speak with the artist and hear the bird of Waiheke on the bush walk.

My wife and I had an excellent art tour with Dale of Terra & Tide. Picked up at the ferry , we visited a variety of galleries, and an art garden, as well as seeing some of the island's natural beauty. We ended up purchasing two small pieces during the visits and are quite happy with them now we are back in Boulder, CO.

A fun way to meet some nice people and enjoy the lovely island. So much beautiful and creative art to see! A great way to tour around some different areas of the island as well. Would recommend!

My wife and I had the BEST day out on the water with Bruce this February. We booked rather last minute, but Bruce and Gabrielle were incredibly accommodating and provided the absolute best experience. The boat is beautiful and very comfortable, Bruce was a great guide not only as boat captain of the catamaran, but also of the dinghy – make sure to ask him to take you into the cave at Otata Island (I think that was the one). The prepared lunch was also delicious and fresh, we were really impressed. All around 10/10, beyond worth it – it was our honeymoon and filled with great days, but this was and remains our favorite day of the trip!

The Waiheke Island History and Heritage Tour was a fabulous way to start our vacation. Gabrielle and team are extremely knowledgable about all aspects of NZ and Waiheke Island in particular. We learned a ton about the history, people and culture. And in particular, I found the information on the environmental conservation aspects fascinating. It was such a pleasure to have a guide that was both knowledgeable and passionate. I highly recommend a visit to Waiheke Island and a tour with Gabrielle and Terra & Tide!

We had the best tour. We started sailing and went to a beautiful island and hiked around and then had lunch and sailed back. It was just wonderful and we loved it

Our time on Waiheke Island was amazing. Nicky, our tour guide, took us around the galleries on the main road of the island and if felt like walking through a large, live outdoor art museum. We also visited a sanctuary garden and looked over scenic country and beach views of Waiheke. We learned so much about its rich history, as well as the current lifestyle of the locals. By far, this was the best part of our Australia/New Zealand trip.

We took a catamaran out with Bruce to Tiritiri Matangi Island. Not only was the island itself an incredible experience but Bruce was an outstanding and informative host. He let us try our hand at sailing, provided excellent food, and was a fantastic companion overall. Had a great time and couldn't recommend this enough!

Nikki was fantastic- her knowledge of the island & her delightful personality made the day very enjoyable. We were blessed with stunning weather & Nikki showed off the best of Waiheke, a very special place
