      Fantastic Waiheke Wine Tour
Waiheke is a beautiful island and despite being winter was warm. The three vineyards we visited were all excellent and the wine amazing. Lunch at 372 on the beach was also fantastic. We were lucky enough to be the only group on the tour and our guide, Jo, was absolutely brilliant - knowledgable, entertaining and helpful. Thanks for making it such a great trip Jo!

Excellent Opportunity to visit some top wineries!
A great opportunity to not only sample some excellent wines but also explore beautiful Waiheke Island. Simon was our guide, and he was GREAT!, not only knowledgeable about the vineyards we visited but also about the history of the Island itself. We visited three vineyards, one a certified organic that also had excellent olive oil and honey. Also, this was our first activity after arriving in New Zealand and a great way to kick off the trip, the short ferry ride provides a beautiful view of Aukland, and fresh air following many hours of flying. The tastings were all superb - my only regret is not being able to bring more wine home. Highly recommend this day trip.

Waiheke Gourmet Food and Wine Tour with Heidi
We had an absolutely brilliant day with Heidi as our tour guide. Heidi was so much fun and had great knowledge of the area. Being a local Heidi is very passionate of the island and she has a great relationship with the wineries. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Heidi, she couldn't do enough for us and we would definitely do the tour again with Heidi. Thank you Heidi

      Wine Island, yes please!
Deb Harris is a lovely guide. We visited a number of beautiful wineries and a wonderful lunch at Tantulus vineyard. Deb was engaging and approachable for questions, etc. We loved the Velvet wine at Mudbrick Vineyards the best.

      Flexibility on a private tour
A great day with our private tour guide Janis. A comfortable drive throughout the Island with commentary about the history, culture, nature and, of course, wine. Private tastings at top wineries but the real benefit was Janis’ flexibility in adjusting our tour on the fly according to our tastes and preferences. An unscheduled visit to a private art gallery was the highlight.

First time in Waiheke; SO glad I went with Ananda Tours
Me and 7 friends (the "back-of-the-bus bandits") booked the Essence of Waiheke Wine Tour on Sat 13 Apr as a belated birthday celebration and to get to know each other more outside of work. I cannot recommend Ananda Tours enough! We were hosted by Simon, a friendly, knowledgeable and charismatic character with a great passion for what he does. He takes great care of his guests and easy to build rapport. We stopped at Mudbrick, Goldie and Casita Miro; Simon was extremely organised and with a laid back attitude that made you feel like you're all one big group of friends on an adventure together. Not to mention, the van was very clean with working windows, bright and airy for a comfortable ride. This was my first time on Waiheke Island and Ananda Tours (& Simon) really helped do the Island justice. We made amazing memories; I cannot wait to go back and will 100% be booking my next tour through Ananda as well.

I highly recommend the Ananda winery tour of Waiheke wineries. Michael, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable of the history of the island and had direct knowledge of each winery we visited. If you’re coming to Waiheke and interested in New Zealand wines, definitely check out Michael and Amanda Tours.

What a trip! We had the most amazing afternoon with our tour guide Dennis exploring the amazing scenery of the island as well as some wonderful wineries. Dennis was so knowledgeable, yet made the experience very fun and laid back. We thoroughly enjoyed the small group setting as it allowed you to get to know the group and create a more interactive experience. We were able to see a large amount of of the island which just added to the amazing experience learning about the history and taking in the beautiful views. Thanks Dennis! We will be back!

Thank you, Emily, for taking the time to share with us this amazing review! We will make sure Dennis gets to see this lovely feedback too. We love exploring the wineries out on the eastern end of the island too as the views are always incredible out there. We hope you do make it back to our beautiful island sometime! All the best for 2020! Thanks again, Jenny and the Ananda Team

We did this tour yesterday and had a wonderful time. Jo was an excellent tour guide with an in depth knowledge of both the island, the wineries, and their histories. All the wineries were an experience in them selves with amazing wines, enthusiastic sommeliers and, in the case of Passage Rock winery, delicious food. My partner and I highly recommend this tour.

A well prepared, fun and premium tour! Great variety of beautiful and boutique vineyards. From the helicopter pads to the cellar door sheds, you really learn and experience all aspects of Waiheke. The platter - Passage Rock & your chef, you have outdone yourself! Lyn from Awaroa and Canada from Obsidian, boy do you know how to work a room! Beautiful Red & White wines at all Wineries! But enough about the Tour, we must discuss our wonderful tour guide. Michael, your enthusiasm, communication skills, personable service and love for the Island made this tour everything and more. A true ambassador for Waiheke (The Long Sheltering Island!) and Ananda (Happiness, Bliss) - and yes! We learnt this from him and so much more.

There are many tours you can take around Waiheke but Ananda's was the best choice. We didn't want to spend the whole day touring (it was Melbourne Cup) so we chose the Artisan food and wine tour. Quickly after booking the tour we received great instructions on how to start our adventure. We followed our instructions to pick up our tickets from the Fullers ticket office near the main ferry building (It is actually a separate building). After arriving we were very quickly met by the tour guide who was a local. We visited some great wineries which were highlighted by local knowledge. We also stopped at scenic and historical areas to learn more about the island as well as taking some great photos.

Without a doubt one of the better wine tours I have ever been on.

From start to finish, every part of our experience was enjoyable. We met our tour guide Jo at the wharf and set out to visit some fine wineries. All three venues were first class and the wines themselves were excellent and not presented in a pretentious way. Lunch was at an excellent restaurant with a good view from the dining patio area and the mixed platter was as good as any I have ever tried. Jo was both knowledgeable and experienced with good people skills, making the whole trip hassle feel and giving the experience just that little bit extra. My wife is not a serious wine drinker but did not feel left out when the tastings were being presented. If you want to do the island in style, I would recommend this trip.

Mo met us promptly at 12:35 pm at the Waiheke Island ferry. From there we were off to our 3 wineries and 1 brewery(actually the brewery was one of the wineries that also brews beer - you could choose to have wine or beer). At all of the wineries we had a designated area and server. Lunch was provided at Stonyridge and it was incredible. They gave each couple a delicious and generous charcuterie/cheese tray. Our server at Mudbrick, Dean, was entertaining and a wealth of information. Mo kept us on schedule and was accommodating to one couple that needed to be dropped off for a dinner reservation and got the rest of us to the 6 pm ferry back to Auckland. Mo shared with us a lot of information about the island where he has lived for 15 years. It was a very enjoyable afternoon~

We had a really amazing time on this afternoon tour of Waiheke Island. Although we were staying on the Island we met the tour at the wharf, however our guide Jo was kind enough to take us back to our accommodation at the end of the tour (something you can request on booking). Jo was an excellent guide, providing information on the area as we drove around and taking us to some great photo spots during the tour. The wine tasting at each winery was lovely. We enjoyed the food pairing at Peacock Sky and the platter lunch at Stonyridge. We were huge fans of the chance to try island brewed beer at Boogie Van Brewery and the final stop at Mudbrick Vineyard was a wonderful opportunity to take in stunning views in a gorgeous setting. The tour comes highly recommended and was a great relaxed way to take in local wine and beer with good food and company :)
