Fabulous day visiting Waiheke with Grant. There were 7 of us on the tour which allowed us to visit some of the smaller top level boutique wineries. If you want a small group experience with someone who lives on the island look no further. Delicious wines in a picture perfect island setting.

Grant was a superb tour guide who met us from the Auckland ferry. He has a quick witted sense of humour and was very knowledgeable about Waiheke Island and its vineyards. It was great to be taken to vineyards off the beaten track. The organic wines we tasted were outstanding.

Grant was a great guide and we visited a range of boutique vineyards. The wine and the food choices were excellent. We would highly recommend this tour.

We booked Grant for a private tour on Christmas Eve. Honestly was the best wine tour experience that I have ever had. We went to four wineries that Grant carefully curated based on our preferences. We loved every single one of them - they were all different! We had generous pours, quick seating and spoke to some of the winemakers. These were not the wine tours that were accessible via the hop on hop off bus or public transit. Grant did an excellent job of facilitating the tour. He bussed tables, helped us get menus when we had lunch and ensured our wine glasses were always full. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a private tour or group tour. Thank you Grant for making our Christmas Eve on Waiheke so special.

First class. Grant was so accommodating picking us up at our hotel and the vineyards he took our group to were outstanding. Particularly enjoyed Jurassic Ridge where the founder, Lance, was one of the most fascinating persons I’ve ever met. Highly recommend this tour. Loved our group. 5/5.

If you want a completely special and personal wine tour on Waiheke Island, we can warmly recommend Waivino and Gant. We had the most enchanting day and got to see the most amazing places on the island. Gant is super pleasant and a great guide. Gant primarily makes small intimate groups, which we clearly prefer to huge groups in large buses. If you're lucky enough to get a place on one of their small, intimate group tours, you've won the lottery 😄

Best experience, we really loved our day tour with Grant around Waiheke. He picked us up at the Ferry and looked after us for the day. Grant has a good knowledge of the island’s features and history. He was always interesting and fun, and kept us all entertained. He has a great relationship with all the wineries which meant we were really well looked after. Definitely worth the 5 star rating. I would definitely tour with Wavino again and would have no hesitation in recommending it to friends and family.

Grant was an absolute legend. The winery tour was a highlight of our trip. The vendors were a delight, and the wines even more so. 10/10 for fun and a great way to see a truly beautiful part of the world. Even if it is full of kiwis. 🤪😂

Grant is a local and a wonderful host. Small group tour and there was only 5 of us which was perfect. Visited some amazing boutique wineries and had a lovely lunch at Peacock Sky Vineyard. Highly recommend

Great tour along several of the smaller, (but certainly not lesser!), wineries on Waiheke. Grant is an easy-going guide, flexible and adapts to his group. We very much enjoyed our day and highly recommend. Also, the food at Passage Rock vineyard is an excellent lunch option!

The tour is fun , beautiful and very much informative. I travelled 3 wineries for tasting and one restaurant to have lunch with 11 people. I can say I never enjoyed Waiheke island without this tour. We were taken around the island by Grant who acted as driver and tour guide. He kept us informed of all we saw and visited - wineries(Mudbrick and Thomas Bach), Onetangi Beach and the Gabrielle Lewenz Art Gallery . He stopped at scenic spots so we could soak in the views , and allowed us to linger wherever we chose to - the advantages of a private tour. He recommended Podere Crisci for lunch - and the food was superb and as Italian as the finest I have eaten in Italy! We could have spent many more hours exploring the island - and will be back!

11 middle aged ladies, one poor wine tour guide! Safe to say we had a brilliant time on Grant’s tour. We were lucky to get the whole van to ourselves and be taken to some gorgeous boutique vineyards and stop off at some lovely views. Grant wasn’t 100% well but made sure we had a good time packed with a lot of laughing to go with the wine and food. Food at Peacock Sky was delicious, as was our entree at Passage Rock. Would definitely recommend as a great way to spend the day.
