Fab boat tour with Andy and enthusiastic Will - was our best day yet in NZ. Saw a host of rare seabirds as well as captain pugwash (fur seal) and friendly hector dolphins. Thanks all For a great day!

Ideal afternoon cruise with a lovely hike to hilltop observation. Fun birdwatching, dolphins, seals… felt like we got the full experience. Little sun, light workout, plenty of leisure (coffee, snack, a secret Pinot Gris.) cap’n Dan and Guide Will were… superb!

Had the best trip. Will, the guide and Andy the pilot were so good, providing explanations about the fur seal, birds including a really rare one that Will hadn't seen on previous trips and then dolphins, just to top off the trip. Highly recommend to all

Wonderful experience! Highly recommend E-Ko tour guide Will for his depth of knowledge and passion for the local wildlife and skipper Andy for spotting so many of them. We saw many varieties of birds in the water, on the wing and on the bird sanctuary, including 30 rare king shags on a rock! Also a beautiful fur seal sunbathing and several rare Hectors dolphins swam right up to our boat. The tour company is very committed to ecotourism and followed all the guidelines for visiting Motorua bird sanctuary (unlike another group we observed who brought bags and food onto the island). An unforgettable experience - not to be missed.

Great company, great skipper and guide - thanks Nicki : ) Learnt about fauna, saw hector dolphins and many amazing birds. Having them identified and explained added a new dimension to my understanding. Was interesting learning about the predator free islands and general ecology of the area. Many thanks.

Good cruise with informative staff. Conditions were not the best so unfortunately we did not see any dolphins but saw birds & seals. Highlight of the trip was being so close to Robins on Motuara island. Only thing I would change would be there should be enough seating for everyone on board to sit especially when the sea is rough.

The tour was awesome, we saw a lot of wildlife (dolphins, seals, birds) and our guides were awesome. Camille had loads of extra information for us and it showed that she really cares for the wildlife & providing a special experience. Thank you for that!

Beautiful views, knowledgeable staff and very friendly and accommodating on board. We had a 2yr old with us and Dan, Nikki and Rob helped make it a great experience for her.

Wonderful tour with many animal sightings, including rare birds and critically endangered dolphins. Boat is well equipped and staff made every effort to ensure guests had a memorable experience.

The reviews I read after booking this cruise set the bar pretty high and I have to say that it exceeded my expectations. The guides Will and Celine were both very keen to ensure we saw everything and knowledgable and willing to discuss any queries we may have. Our skipper who I think was Andy was equally approachable and clearly knew where best to look for our target species. Highlights for me were our close encounters with Hectors Dolphins, King Shags and the amazingly confiding South Island Robins on Motuara Island where we spent an hour ashore. I could go on waxing lyrical about today, but one word will do. Brilliant.

We had a very enjoyable day with Will (who is from the UK and has a great sense of humour!) and Dan, starting with a briefing on the shore and then we set out into Marlborough Sound. We were the only two people dropped on Blumine Island - by means of a ladder dropped over the front of the boat!!! We wanted to see the rare orange-fronted parakeet - and were successful using Will's hint on where it was most likely to be found. We were (hooray!) picked up after five hours on the island, and then we joined the afternoon passengers on a visit to Motuara Island. We were given a hot drink on the way back to Picton, and then a bonus glass of wine. There were plenty of other sightings on the trip including dolphins and the very rare king shag, only found in Marlborough Sound. Such a good way to spend a day.

The guides Will and Dan were amazing, they explained a lot and made the tour very fun. We got to see the Hector's and bottlenose dolphins and several different birds. I can really recommend this tour.

We had a great morning despite some rain. The crew, Andy & Will, were very knowledgeable and very friendly providing humorous chat along with the information. We were able to see a penguin, king shag and other shag species as well as gannets and a fur seal. On the island, we saw Robins and a saddleback despite the weather. No dolphins today, but we will be back.

What a great tour we had! Our tour guide Will and captain Andy were AMAZING! It was fun, informative and well organised! Highly recommend this tour!
