- T4761GYlauras0 contributionsFun afternoonA great idea . Distances are easily manageable and the tastings are all great . Bikes were well maintained and comfortable . Great idea that the guy goes to collect any purchases . Plenty of parking for camper vans tooWritten 12 February 2025
- bridgeman1280 contributionsBrilliant tourBrilliant tour. Bikes were excellent, instructions clear and detailed. We had a fantastic day and that was due in no small part to On Yer Bike. Our son and his girlfriend did the tour a few weeks ago and had a blindingly brilliant time too. Highly recommended.Written 11 January 2025
- A3460ZUpeterd0 contributionsFun but checking wineries openGreat bikes beautiful area just be sure not too early in week as many wineries not open. E-bikes are the way to go when very windy!Written 26 November 2024
- I9968AZsarahl0 contributionsExcellent day out!Excellent day out with friends! Bikes were great, tastings were delicious and the terrain was beautiful. Ride was suitable for different fitness levels, we made it to 4 vineyards between 10am-4pm. Enjoyed every tasting and On Yer bike were awesome to deal with!Written 2 November 2024

- U3175VKstuarts0 contributionsE-bike and Wineries RideMost enjoyable bike ride, great scenery, quiet, peaceful, little traffic and on top of all that there was wine. Bikes were perfectly adequate for the flat terrain and easily capable of combating the unseasonable wind. Very helpful advice from the owner. Highly recommended. Stuart S.Written 6 March 2024
- Martin R0 contributionsGreat fun day out. Recommended!Firstly hire an Electric bike it’s worth it. The whole experience was first class! The bikes were very good and Phil’s setting us on our way was good. He collected the wines we bought so we didn’t have to carry them. I had a puncture and very quickly he brought a replacement bike. Don’t underestimate the amount of cycling and our day was very hot. Excellent business can’t fault it!Written 25 February 2024
- fransN7147HR0 contributionsAmazing experienceAmazing experience! Electric bikes were so fun and the wineries just beautiful. Phil was so helpful and even waited at one of the wineries for our wine purchase to take it back to the base for our collection. Highly recommend. A+++++++Written 17 February 2024
- Lkobiske0 contributionsCellar door touring at itThis was such a fun way to visit the cellar doors in the region! Phil was super accommodating as we had a late start and picked up our bikes at 1 instead of noon. We still fit in 3 tastings (which was honestly plenty - they give you a good amount of wine!). If you buy wine while you're out, Phil will drive over to collect your bottles while you continue on so you don't have to worry about any casualties should you tip your bike over on the gravel driveways. We were glad to have the eBikes given the gravel paths and the wind the day we went, but it's mostly flat and would be totally do-able on one of the regular bikes. Helmets are provided.Written 16 February 2024
- Babymine810 contributionsLoved it, weather a tiny bit cold at 18 degreesWe had a great day (apart from very hard & slim bike seats). The cut through was a little trying (big gravel), but after that mostly plain sailing. The bike path was good for 90% of the ride and only a little bit on the main road (although cars whizzed past, they gave us plenty of room and not a lot of traffic anyway). Abby and Ash were our fav (recommend the flight tasting at Abby). Silini got a down vote from us as whilst it looked amazing, after biking all the way up the drive we were turned around at the door due to a cruise/bus lot coming in. A quick sign on the gate would have been nice...... maybe an led one, so they don't have to "go a whole km down the drive to change"<--- reason given for not having a sign. Only other wee whinge was that food being served or not should have been printed on the bike map, with all the tastings food became quite important lolWritten 14 February 2024

- 198janett0 contributionsVineyard cycling and lunchOn Yer Bike Tours couldnt have been more helpful. We booked from the UK last year. They sent us loads of information about the tours, wineries and the dining options available. They switched our day as the weather wasn’t great. Bikes were great and well looked after with baskets for rucksacks etc. They even collected wine purchases from the vineyards to save having to cycle with them. I’d recommend unreservedly. Thanks for a great day out.Written 7 January 2024

We would definitely recommend On Yer Bike for anyone keen to explore some of the wineries around Hastings!
Very easy to arrange and easy to find, located just next to Ash Ridge winery. The bikes were clearly used, but we had absolutely no issues with their function, and were available swiftly on arrival in multiple sizes. There are 2 route options from their depot, and these were clearly explained using their map, which is provided. We chose the Bridge Pa triangle route, which included 5 vineyards and a cycle through the vineyards themselves.
There are no tastings included in the package (we didn’t expect this!), which we felt allowed us to be a bit more relaxed and spend time in the vineyards as opposed to rushing to get to the next one.
They also offered a free collection service for all the wines purchased to save us carrying them around in the basket, which made things much easier! On our return to the depot our wine was waiting for us, and they were very helpful in arranging some transport back to our accommodation.
An enjoyable day all round!

We had a good day riding our bikes around the Hawkes Bay wineries. Good bikes with baskets for personal things.
All the cycle paths are off road and therefore safe and hassle free. I would recommend the longest offered time frame as we had to rush at the end.
It was also very nice to have the bought wine picked up at the wineries, so we didn't have to drive them around.
I highly recommend taking an e-bike as it gets harder riding your bike after the second winery ;-)

When the sun shines, there is no place like the Hawkes Bay wineries! We had a stunner of a day and the wines to match it. Great going a little off piste and the padded bike seats made a lot of sense when we hit the gravelly tracks. Amazing lunch, tasty vino and even a celebrity appearance and chat as Oz Clarke popped into one of the vineyards for a tasting too.

Just had a great day exploring the Hawkes Bay wineries.
The bikes were in excellent condition and really easy to ride.
There are 2 suggested routes - 12 km or 25km. Having not cycled for a long time we opted for the shorter & did a few detours too. The trails are well maintained & nice and flat. Most of the wineries have some sort of food - either a cheese platter or something more formal if you’d prefer. You just need to choose your route depending on what you fancy. We didn’t book in advance for either the bikes or the wineries but I’m told it can be necessary at busier times.
So basically it was a lovely day out enjoying the sunshine with good food & wine.

Phil was really accommodating and flexible with organising a reasonably large group. He made everything easy for a fun day out. Everything was well organised and seamless. It was an absolutely perfect day and I highly reccommend booking with On Yer Bike, to experience some Hawkes Bay’s best wine and food options. Biking provides the perfect balance to the winery visits. Thank you for looking after us!

Great fun and super easy to ride on the flat trails between the wineries.
The wineries along the way were all quite different, so gave a good mix of places to visit.
We bought wine at all of them and the bike place comes around to collect them so they don't rattle down the road in your bike.
Definitely a fun day out and minimal fitness required. Would be even easier on e-bikes but was so flat its probably not worth the extra cost.

Tour guide couldn't have been more helpful, helping us plan a route, collecting wine we purchased from the different vineyards for us to pick up at the end of the day and even offering us a lift back to our accommodation (since it was the end of the day and on his way!).
Bikes were good, and all the vineyards are within a short bike ride away making the tour highly accessible.
Only feedback would be to invest in bike mud guards, as it rained briefly creating a lot of mud which ended up on our backs curtesy of the back tyres =D

We booked last minute for 6 people including an 8 year old and we were accommodated perfectly. Bikes were comfortable and easy to ride, good bike for our young one and was able to keep up. We were provided a map and good advice where to have lunch etc.
Wine we bought was collected and waiting for us when we dropped our bikes back. Overall great family day out.

The Ride around Hawks Bay was amazing, the views were amazing and the wineries we visit were a just as amazing.
On yer bike was easy to deal with. We made a booking on there website the day before, which was easy to use. Phil was great with his knowledge of the area and the best way to get around to all the wineries. The bikes were in good condition and easy to ride (maybe get an e-bike next time bit sore the next day)
The day was great and we really enjoyed ourselves

We hired the tandems for 2 x couples. We had a blast and the host of On Yer Bike was very helpful and even picked up the wines we purchased so that we didn't have to carry them back on the bikes.
The two wineries we visited were Oak Wineries and Selini both very helpful and generous with wine tasting. The platter at Ok was magnificent and they also took care of one of our party who is celiac.
Allow plenty of time if you want to do all the wineries as it is so easy to sit and take in the views whilst tasting to realise you have to cycle back quickly.
