Bay of Islands Day Cruise - The Cream Trip

Select Date and Travellers
2 travellers
Enjoy a Bay of Islands cruise on the region's only authentic Cream Trip; a 100-year-old tradition of delivering mail and supplies to island residents.
Climb aboard a multi-level catamaran and venture out to sea with a knowledgeable crew to inform you along the way. See idyllic bays, Marsden Cross, local homes and natural landmarks like the Hole in the Rock at Cape Brett. Cruising through some 144 islands, be sure to watch out for whales, seals and other marine wildlife. Experience a unique local island by taking a walk or relaxing on the beach and climb in the boom net if you're looking for a thrill. The Cream Trip is the perfect cruise for nature lovers, and the most extensive historical cruise in the Bay.
  • Join a Bay of Islands 'cream trip' and deliver supplies while you tour
  • Catamaran features enclosed cabins and sundecks for a comfortable outing
  • Choose between convenient departure points in Paihia and Russell
What to Expect
Make your way to the wharf in Paihia or Russell, board your multilevel catamaran, and then set a course for Cape Brett, on the far eastern edge of the Bay of Islands. Enjoy the sea breeze from the outdoor sundeck or head inside to the enclosed cabins, where drinks and snacks are available for purchase. Form any seat, watch for seals. On board the boat, make a series of stops to deliver supplies to the islands, pausing at one for free time to walk, swim, or just relax on the beach. After a full day on the water, your Bay of Islands cruise concludes at your original departure point.
