About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- izzylanee0 contributionsOne of the best things we’ve done whilst being in NZ!This was truly amazing! It exceeded our expectations by MILES! You’re provided with gum boots ,trousers and a coat…which you’ll need as you get very muddy /wet. The views were amazing and you really go to the back of beyond. Such friendly staff! Thank you for an amazing afternoon.Written 11 January 2024
- meaghanne730 contributionsEnjoyable experienceA fun experience. We are a family with 2 teenagers so this was a great option whilst passing through the area. They supplied gum boots which was great as it will get muddy.Written 5 January 2024
- URTravelAdvisor0 contributionsBest experience till date on a buggieWhat an experience 😊. We had a lot of fun and loved the innovative and challenging forest track. It's a must experience if you are in greymouth.Written 30 December 2023
- peterrU6981IK0 contributionsFun tour at a reasonable priceBooked this through Viator.com and first was guided to the wrong place, but arrived on site ahead of time. I was the only one that morning and got a fantastic tour by Mike through the rain forest, also going through a lot of water :-)Written 20 November 2023
- epicentreoz0 contributionsUnforgettable fun and a West Coast must-do!Great fun! We chose this one as our 15yr old daughters hadn’t quad biked before. The weather was pretty darn horrid but like they say - the wetter the better. We all had an absolute blast. With the heavy wet, the practice course was actually pretty challenging for one of our less confident kids, so we switched her to a buggy passenger, which she enjoyed. It would have been more fun being able to cut loose a little, but understand that’s not what this activity is about, and tightening OSH laws prevent it. Overall though, awesome tracks, great set up and certainly a must-do while on the West Coast.Written 26 October 2023
- thecardrona0 contributionsMuddy good fun!!Awesome fun! So much water & MUD!! Scotty looked after us & provided us with all the gear we needed though so it didn't matter... he went he extra mile to make sure we had a blast, Cheers from Kel & Tim!Written 26 May 2023
- Janice C0 contributionsAmazing, exciting, thrilling driveWhat a rush! My husband drove the buggie while I had a white knuckle grip on the grab bar. It had been pouring rain before our ride so most of the trails were flooded. It was really unnerving for me to drive through water not knowing how deep or rocky the trail was. But what a thrill, we would definitely do it again. Make sure you fasten your rain gear properly, I did not and I was soaking wet at the end of the ride.Written 21 March 2023
- DRPL230 contributionsGreat fun in the wetWe had the best time on our ride, the rain made it even better. All the gear was suplied which made it super easy and our guide was just awesome made the ride the best experience.Written 20 March 2023

Great Experience - It was a rainy day but that added to the excitement, mud and water! Recommend going for the single buggies and the 90min tour. A couple with us at the start, only did the hour and missed out on the best bit! If you are going to do this, do it properly and go for the bigger tour! Only negative was that we didnt get any photos taken whilst on the drive - In single buggies you dont have a photographer and are on the go the whole time, we only got a single pic when we finished and asked. Great activity, if you're in the area, do it!

Seriously fun!!!! Amazing scenery plus awesome tracks to test your off-roading skills. Not the usual “slow & follow me” basic quad bike tour. Very much a challenge for even the most experienced 4x4 operators. The waterfall was worth the extra time. 100% highly recommend and don’t miss the chance if you have time.

My family really enjoyed this experience, and in fact said it was one of their favorite things we did on the South Island. Our kids are age 11, 11 and 14. My 14 year old was able to drive his own buggy while my 11 year olds went with an adult. It did rain a bit, but we were well bundled up in all their ranger and boots. Two hours is just enough time - I wouldn't want to do any longer!

WOW!!!! Did the 2 hour adventure using a Buggy. It was so awesome. Up and down hills and hills. Really fun. Every turn there was something new. The curves were really thrilling. The scenery was what I expected in a rain forest. It was the best adventure to do in NZ without having to leave the South Island. Recommend to thrill.

This was the highlight of our whole trip to NZ. We did this 17years ago with our children and came back again to do it with our grandchild. We were not disappointed. The trek was exciting and went through beautiful NZ bush. We will definitely come again.

We had so much fun with OnYerBikes. Two hours of riding around in the buggie, speeding through creeks, forest and hills. Rowan was our guide for the day, he was very knowledgeable, made sure we were safe and made the day thoroughly entertaining (we even stopped to have coffee and biscuits).
I'd recommend this to anyone in the area looking for an adrenaline rush.
Thanks again Rowan!!

First time on the buggy it was fantastic, we did the two hour ride with tea and biscuit break. The track was very well thought out, steep hills, water, mud ( some mud it had been very dry ) and rough terrain. It was an amazing experience and would highly recommend doing it.
