Absolutely excellent experience. Cannot recommend highly enough. We were so well looked after there was not a moment we didn’t enjoy. The opportunity to sail on a historic boat and then have a short guided explore in the beautiful Fiordland National Park was unforgettable. The tour was well beyond our expectations and the hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. Loved it and will recommend to friends.

We so much enjoyed our Lake Te Anau trip on this beautiful motor yacht. Adam and Megan were wonderful hosts. The weather was kind to us , the lake calm, and the wine and canapés much enjoyed. Megan guided us on a short bush walk and was so knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna. Adam put the icing on the cake with a medley of tunes on the bagpipes. Highly recommend!

Magical afternoon on lake Te Anau. Adam and Jackie were wonderful hosts who shared their knowledge of the boat and the environment with genuine passion. They were so friendly and made the trip a delight. It was the highlight of a great week on the South Island. Highly recommend this experience and we look forward to coming back for an overnight stay. Paul and Jackie were great hosts as we cruised the lake in a 1935 special. So much better then the very commercial alternative trip we could have taken.They were knowledgeable yet flexible to our circumstances and in full sail the boat was a lot of fun. We had access to the whole boat and permission to get right involved if we wanted to. Also Great views of the closer Alps as we turn up an arm of the lake you don’t see from town side

Wonderful cruise. Adam is a great captain - answering all your questions. The nature hike through the forest with Jackie was wonderful. She is incredibly knowledgeable on New Zealand plant life.

While our cruise did not work out due to poor weather, Adam was quite the gracious host all the same. He gave us a nice tour of his beautiful boat and took care of canceling the booking on his end. He even offered some suggestions of alternate things to do in town.

We really enjoyed a peaceful afternoon, where we basked in the sun and offered refreshments. The host and captain were really lovely and made us feel so relaxed. The boat is beautiful. The hosts had some really interesting things to say on the nature of the bush and the history of the boat. A lovely time- thank you!

Milford Sound and the glow worm caves are where most tourists go, but to get away from the crowds, to relax and be looked after while enjoying Lake Te Anau and its scenery, you can’t beat this cruise. Adam and his assistant are charming and courteous. Nothing is too much trouble. The restored wooden boat is magnificent. We enjoyed a cruise, a nature walk, canapés and drinks followed by a few minutes under sail. Everyone who has sailed so far has given five stars. Why is it not top of the activity list on TA?

What an amazing trip. One of the best we have done. Adam and Megan are friendly, engaging and very knowledgeable. This is a 11/10 trip that exceeded our expectations. The boat is stunning, the morning tea was impressive and catered for those with specific dietary needs. It's a small group tour which meant you didn't feel like another number. The walk to the hidden lakes was a lovely and easy walk so you don't need any specific walking gear apart from decent sneakers as it can be muddy under foot. If you can check the weather before booking an afternoon breeze is good as they put up the sails to sail back to the dock. Unfortunately, we had no wind so despite putting up the sails we had to motor back. Still, that did not detract from the overall experience. For those interested in a Celtic experience, if Adam is your captain, he will bring out his bagpipes to top off the trip.

This was our second trip on ‘Faith’ having previously cruised 5 yrs ago with George and Adam. Yesterday we were welcomed aboard again by Adam but this time there was a new shipmate - Paul, who, incidentally hailed from Portsmouth a fine naval port in the UK. Once again we had a wonderful time learning about the history of ‘Faith’ and how she ended up in NZ after starting life in Scotland. We had a relaxing walk on an island where Paul was a mine of information on the flora and fauna. I can’t recommend this trip highly enough, we had wine and snacks throughout which loosened lots of tongues during the trip which meant nearly everyone conversed with each other. It was brilliant. Sadly Adam didn’t remember us from the last trip but as it was 5 years ago we forgave him 😂

Forget the highly promoted stuff, this reasonable adventure is designed for small groups, those who love peace and quiet, and enjoy the elegance of the Gatsby era. Come on, being served champagne and canapes on board a vessel in a stunningly gorgeous setting doesn't light you up you must be the ultimate scrooge. To top it off, skipper Adam and crew will take you to a gorgeous island for a marvelous nature walk. What a treat!

A sunny day, a stunning lake, a beautifully restored old yacht, helpful and interested staff, tasty canapes, a walk in an ancient beech forest - what more could you need for a perfect afternoon? Thank you Adam, Megan and Rebecca.

The weather was perfect as we cast off from Te Anau and headed across the lake. We had a very warm welcome from Adam, Megan and Rebecca. We learnt the boat’s history and were told we could have an explore, but I opted to stay up top and enjoy the scenery and sunshine. They fed us some lovely canapes. On the other side of the lake we tied up and went for a wander through an extraordinary beech forest to a hidden gem of a small lake. On the return journey the crew hoisted the sails. Our fellow passengers made for interesting company – people from Germany, South Africa and the USA. I can really recommend this adventure.

Adam and Megan took us on cruise across the lake and docked at a jetty on a remote and uninhabited shore for a short nature walk through the forest to a hidden lake. On our return we were treated to canapes and drinks on board. This was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. The boat itself dates from the 1930's and has a captivating history that Adam tells with great engagement - the boat is clearly now his hobby and he has carried out much major work on the boat himself. Adam and Megan are lovely and knowledgeable hosts who made us feel very special.
