We drove ourselves since we were staying in Te Anau so cannot comment on any bus ride. My advice is as follows if you have your own car which I recommend. Take the early cruise (ours was 11 am), start at 7:30 am go get there, stop first at Mirror Lake before it gets crowded (we had the place to ourselves for 15 minutes or so). Did not stop on the way up other then Mirror Lake and the stops on the way back were let downs after the incredible sights on Milford Sound. Parking is VERY limited. Pure Milford was a delight, smaller groups then what I saw on other boats. Pure Milford was a highlight of our 3 week trip. Had sunny weather which is great and a curse since the waterfalls were not at max. Any questions let me know.

The views were awesome and the commentary was very good. Well worth the cost.. Would visit again for the experience. Brilliant.

Pure Milford boat was clean and spacious with several viewing decks. Staff were very friendly and informative. Food for purchase and free tea and coffee was great too! Lots of opportunities for pictures but many waterfalls were dry. Otherwise the drive to the Sound from Te Anau was spectacular - well worth the visit.

The tour was excellent, the staff were great and entertaining. The journey to Milford is spectacular and only got better when on the boat. Just book it, you won’t regret it.

Fabulous cruise. We were very lucky in that it rained all morning allowing fantastic views of hundreds of waterfalls on our drive from Te Anau. It stopped raining and the sun came out when we were on the boat. The waterfalls in the Sound were therefore spectacular. A fun crew.

This was an amazing experience with great view and they offered free coffee and tea on board. We had a great afternoon. Also the drive there is amazing and you should plan a little bit more time so that u can take a few of the amazing stops. I would recommend doing this

An unforgettable experience . Amazingly beautiful sites . The cruise was fantastic and our captain gave a great informative commentary interspersed with a touch of humour. Lunch was really lovely- yummy pie and loved our surprise picnic lunch bag. However, the trip home on the bus was scary and uncomfortable with our driver driving very fast and aggressively.

Excellent day trip all round. Comfortable coach, good stops en route with excellent commentary from our driver Scarlet. Great staff on boat and very nice lunch provided.

Amazing place to visit, Pure Milford was best boat to go on. Other's were older and more packed out. We did the 11am trip and was not crowded, when we got back there was buses everywhere and the place was packed.

Feel I got ripped/conned/tricked! Website did not disclose that the prices where US dollars, until AFTER making a non-refundable purchase for SIX adults Not happy!

Spectacular views and great comentry from bus driver and boat and even saw dolphins and seals plus a great lunch a must for everyone

This was an absolutely fantastic cruise for a couple of hours. 3 deck boat with the best view on top deck but be prepared for high winds especially through the straights. Great photo graph probabilities and lunch was alright but slim for vegetable hater. The deck hands were very friendly and helpful. Well worth the trip driving up to the ferry boats.

Milford sound is a must if travelling to NZ! Honestly, the scenery is breathtaking. The coach driver was great, stopping at all the sights and photo ops along the way to Milford. The cruise was amazing! Lots of photo opportunities onboard and the staff happy to assist. Food provided onboard was tasty. Make sure to pack sunscreen and insect repellent. This was the second time I have done the Milford cruise and I would do again! Highly recommend!
