        Fantastic Cruise for All Ages
The cruise was delightful with beautiful scenery, waterfalls, and fun wildlife. The boat was smaller, so we were able to get close to the waterfalls and wildlife on the rock. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend for people of all ages.

        Amazing Cruise
What an amazing day we had. We were picked up at 8am by Jonathan and met lovely group of our tour. Such a scenic drive through including Mirror Lake etc, we had ample time for taking photos and toilet breaks. We had a lovely morning tea with dates scones and Red Velvet cake and lovely birtdhay card for both of our birthdays. How kind - we were both in teary eyes. Thank you so much. Very good explanations and story telling by Jonathan all the way. On board, we had another surprise with a bottle of sparkling wine for our celebration. We were so touched and felt incredibly well taken care of. 1 hour +45 mins tour was just perfect ... good discriptions by the captain and the guide were easy to follow with lots of information. Thank you so much and we definitely recommend this tour.

        Nice
The one and a half hour cruise took us through Milford fiords right up to the Tasman see and back. There were numerous waterfalls on the way and views of mitre peak. The announcement on board kept us informed about the history, geography and features. All and all a good experience. Just that the Milford sound area is located at a 3.5 hrs drive from queenstown so the one and a half hour cruise requires u to invest the entire day.

        Brilliant Boat Trip
Brilliant boat trip - highly recommend! Great to have a smaller group on the boat, meaning less crowding and plenty of space to take in the views. Captain Dan and his team made the experience even better. Great commentary information provided, excellent communication. Their boating skills were perfect and we felt safe throughout. Enjoyed the route and stops along the way. Tea, coffee and cookies appreciated on a chilly day. The trip exceeded our expectations of the beautiful Milford Sounds. Thank you!

Incredible cruise with amazing views and photo opportunities. Extremely tidy, clean and spacious vessel. Would recommend this cruise over any of the big ones as it noses into the rocks and waterfalls, bring your wet weather gear if you dear. Thank you very much for an incredible trip

        Fantastic Milford Sound tour.
Our tour guide was fantastic. She was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Fiordland National Park and Milford Sound. Because our tour bus was smaller than the large commercial tour buses we stopped at several scenic stops along the way to Milford Sound and on our way back to Te Anau. The cruise ship was smaller also and was not the least bit crowded. I would recommend this tour company to anyone wanting to cruise Milford Sound.

        Spectacular Cruise!
Incredible cruise. Spectacular scenery. The smaller boat allowed us to get much closer to New Zealand Fur Seals and waterfalls than other boats. Great crew and nice to have tea and biscuits available.

        Nice smaller vessel
Nice trip, all the boats follow by each other round the sound. Nice smaller ship. Doubt there is much difference between any of them with the exception of when it’s extremely busy.

Milford Sound in the Rain: Wondrous waterfalls
We had a fabulous time on our tour with Cruise Milford, despite t(e fact that it rained hard most of the day. Our guide Carlyn was incredibly amusing, knowledgable, talented with Iphone photography, and generally friendly and helpful. His knowledge of the area made the day fascinating despite challenges from the weather. This small group bus tour was definitely the way to go. By the end of the day there was a great camaraderie among our group. Bravo Carlyn and Cruie Milford!

        Worth the drive!
We had beautiful weather and loved having the experience of cruising the sound in a smaller boat. We saw dolphins and seals and got up close to a waterfall. You could even get wet if you wanted to! Friendly staff and everything ran smoothly!

        Great crew and great trip!
What an incredible cruise with such amazing and knowledgeable staff! Thomas was super lovely and interesting to talk to and able to answer all our million questions about this spectacular place. With the small boat it is way more enjoyable than some of the larger ones. I have done 4-5 other cruises and this was the best by far! I will definitely be getting on this boat again next time I’m in Milford!

        Rainy but still fun
So many waterfalls….helped that it poured before we got on the boat. Still a beautiful ride through the fiord. We loved that it was a smaller boat with not a huge amount of people.

        Amazing Milford!
Stunning views. Gorgeous boat. Lovely crew. We had a rather wet but wonderful time aboard. We saw Milford at its best and even had a few dolphins keeping us company for a while.

We had a great tour today with Cruise Milford. We were fortunate to have a very small number of people on our cruise so got a great personal experience. Saw dolphins and seals and while the weather wasn't the best we still got to see everything. Friendly staff from check in to disembarking. Easy to move around the ship and tea, coffee and biscuits all provided. Definitely recommend.

A great day - Shane our tour guide was brilliant; his local knowledge of plants, animals and stories of Maori and European history in the area made it even better.
      Funny and entertaining too !
The stops along the way were in really interesting places you may otherwise not know about; and the boat cruise was spectacular with the informative and humorous skipper.
We highly recommend the tour, great value too.

If you are going to book a trip to Milford please use these guys! Such a good experience, Jonno was astounding with the knowledge he could provide over the duration of the trip. We found it great in a smaller group as we could interact with all. We were shown some good points of interest and got to experience the cruise on a good rainy day! Definitely recommend going with Milford Cruises 😊

This was the highlight of our trip to New Zealand. It's a long day but well worth it. Going into Milford Sound was just a breathtaking experience. The boat ride was lovely and you get so close to the waterfalls.

When the Tasman Sea got a little rough a very kind crew member, Brooke, just talked me through what was happening. She has a very calm approach and was just a wealth of knowledge. She made what was a rocky experience for me (the rest of my family loved the small waves) just splendid. She was great!

Kreig was an excellent tour guide! The day I did this tour was right before Covid cancelled everything and it was a small group (only 5 of us). Our tour guide was amazing and made the experience memorable. I was at first planning on doing the drive solo from Queenstown, but the roads were closed and only were allowing organized tours. Although this was more expensive than just doing the cruise, in the end I was very pleased it worked out this way. The drive from Queenstown is long, and it's nice to just sit back and relax so you can enjoy all the views. We were also very lucky with having great weather! Cruise is stunning- definitely a must do. Highly recommend this company!!

Excellent day out of Te Anau to Milford Sound. Jonathan was a great driver/guide and very knowledgeable. He makes everyone comfortable. We had a full day programme, but no stress at all. The drive is magnificent, also thanks to the various stop and walks in the forests or at the lakes. The cruise was great, about 2 hours and very impressive. A highlight of our trip to NZ.

The trip there was as good as the cruise on the sound. Local Guide Jamie had heaps of knowledge of the area. Plenty of time to explore the nature on the way. So glad I picked this trip. Thanks for a great day😀

DATE OF TOUR: End of February 2020
      BOOKED: directly through company
TOUR: 5 stars - bucket list material
      TOUR GUIDES: 5 stars
CONTACT WITH COMPANY PRIOR TO TOUR: 5 stars
EASE OF BOOKING ONLINE: 5 stars

TIPS: bring snacks and water if you are able (especially if being picked up from Queenstown), 1 bathroom break to/from Queenstown to Milford Sound (there is a bathroom on the bus, but at one point ours was out of order), it was very beneficial for us to have an international cell in order for them to contact us, i recommend a rain coat (I got a lite one off of Amazon and that was plenty)

Milford Sound was high on my list when planning our trip to New Zealand. After experiencing it's wonder, I think this is something that should be on everyone's bucket list. Personally, I don't believe that the travel time to experience places should play that much of a role and I 100% feel that Milford Sound is worth it. Our time was just magical here.

Out of all the Milford Sound tours, we chose Cruise Milford based on a review we saw saying that their cruises were smaller at meant you got more access to the scenery, etc. And that was true when you saw our Cruise compared to others. I received a call/text the day before from the company to make sure we were set, Because of flooding recently, food would not be available at Milford Sound and we were offered a package to add lunch. They were also very friendly at fielding our questions on food, snacks, bathroom breaks, etc (see below). Thank goodness, T-Mobile offers relatively cheap deals for international phone service. The morning of, our ride never showed. So, I called the lady that we spoke to the night before and by the time she called me back, she already had a Taxi ready to pick us up and bring us to the final bus stop (there was a mixup in the system).

We booked our trip with transportation from our hotel in Queenstown. It is a 2-hour drive from Queenstown to Milford Sound, so it was honestly a great plan the day after getting in from our long flight as we slept most of the bus ride. From Queenstown there is a short stop to grab breakfast, coffee and use the bathroom and their grab/go pastries were DELICIOUS my husband and I went back for seconds before we got back on the bus. We stopped at the same stop on the way home and there wasn't much food left by the end of the day and hardly enough time to go to the other restaurants, so I HIGHLY recommend bringing snacks. There is a bathroom on the bus, but as I wrote above, ours was out of order halfway through the trip
