We did not end up being able to take our trip with Paddle Queenstown and that's exactly why I wanted to leave a review. The weather forecast for the day of our excursion ended up looking awful so the company called and emailed us ahead of time to let us know. They asked if we were able to move to another day and I said yes- easy! Then we realized our travel plans wouldn't allow for it so I rang them, thinking I may be in trouble and have to forfeit our payment but nope! They were incredibly understanding and gave us a full refund. We were so sad to not be able to take our trip but their customer service made us feel so much better and if we make it back to NZ- they'll be first on our list!

Loved the experience. Ben the guide was excellent he was very friendly and informative. We had an awesome time. The views were stunning and finished with some yummy snacks and tea. Would defo recommend!!

$40 for me and the 10 year old to hire a kayak for 45 minutes. A little pricey, but it is Queenstown! You have a large area to kayak in and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It was a lovely warm, clear day and this was a very pleasant way to have a bit of an explore.

Finding this place was easy, just pop over the Queenstown Beach. Plenty of kayaks and other water sport equipment on hand. 45 minutes for around 20 minutes, kayaking was fun. We were given life jackets, and told safety stuff. Operators were really friendly and helpful.

Thanks guys for accommodating us a little earlier than our booking. Kayaks were fun and we had a great time.

Put the 8 & 9yr old on the aqua bike and off they went. They had the time of their lives while I was able to get stunning pics of them laughing, the mountains, the Earnslaw a kayaker in the distance and the shark ride (thing?) all at once. Just remarkable!

Hired an aqua bike with my friend we had soo much fun! Stunning scenery. Can be chill and cruise around the lake or hire multiple and race your friends!

My favourite part of the paddle bike was getting closer to the centre of the lake and cruise ships, and from there we had a better view of the mountains and city.

Had a great morning on the aqua bikes with hubby and our 2 and 4 year old boys. The kids were too short to reach the pedals, but enjoyed being out on the water as it was our first experience. The owners/operators were very friendly and helpful and kitted us out with life jackets and helped the little ones on/off the bikes. Scenery was beautiful and it made for a very pleasant morning.

We went out on paddle boards and kayaks on Moke Lake. Stunning spot, and all very well organised. Ben was an excellent guide.

Had a lovely time kayaking! The people helping us with the kayaks were nice and very informative. I suggest using a kayak skirt like they recommend (they provide them) as it will keep you more dry. It’s very peaceful kayaking and very beautiful. Can’t wait to go back to queenstown to do it again!

My boyfriend and I rented a kayak with Paddle and had such a great time on the water. It was such a beautiful day and seeing Queenstown from the water made for such a different and amazing perspective. Ben got us all set up and briefed with all the information we needed as well as the best places to go and see. Thanks for the great day, would definitely recommend if visiting Queenstown!

My wife and I were looking for a last minute activity in Queenstown before a dinner reservation and decided to go kayaking. If you're looking to explore Lake Wakatipu via kayak, ONLY use Paddle Queenstown! It was a wonderful experience, Pros and Cons noted below: Pros: 1. Freedom -- The best aspect by far. All other kayak companies are guided tours and require a member of the team to accompany you. Paddle Queenstown gives you the option to take the kayaks out on your own so you can explore at your own pace for the time you paid for (we did two hours). An excellent perk especially since you can pull the kayak onto isolated beaches to relax and take pictures or videos. 2. Cost -- This was the cheapest kayaking option in Queenstown. 3. Staff -- The small team was wonderful to talk to and put alot of effort into customer service. 4. Distance -- It's a beautiful walk to the location If you mind walking the one mile (1.6km) from town. If you don't want to walk, it's a very quick cab ride! Cons: 1. Limits -- You can't go too far from the shore but this was a very minor point. You're given about 150-200m to work with from the shore. Overall: Great experience and will be back again next time we're in Queenstown

We decided to spend half a day kayaking- and booked a guided tour of Lake Wakatipu and we were amazed by the beauty and the experience. Lake Wakatipu is very deep at 1200 feet in the center- but extremely calm and crystal blue! The lake is fed by glacier rivers so it is always cold. Our guide was amazing- we even went ashore into a cove to grab a quick picnic of tea and biscuits! The kayaking intro was very helpful and information. Bring: waterproof shoes or sandals, a dry bag for your valuables (Paddle Queenstown can provide you with one- we also left our backpacks with them on land), water bottle and sunscreen. The guide took pics of us and forwarded them to us at the end of the trip. The location is a quick 15 minutes walk from the center of town.
