Overview
Cruise Milford Sound all the way to the Tasman Sea aboard a spacious vessel with seating designed for viewing the spectacular scenery and native wildlife in any weather. You can book the Milford Sound on its own or combine it with round-trip bus transportation from selected hotels in Te Anau or Queenstown for an unforgettable full day of exploring Fiordland National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
What to Expect
Meet at the pier in Milford Sound, where you board your boat for a 1.5-hour cruise along Milford Sound. As you marvel at the soaring cliffs and waterfalls, enjoy fresh air on deck or stay warm in an indoor cabin stocked with hot tea and water. Either spot is ideal for watching for dolphins, seals, and rare penguins, and you’ll get unobstructed views of Mitre Peak and the Tasman Sea before returning to shore.

If you opt to book transportation to Milford Sound, meet your driver at your Queenstown or Te Anau hotel; the drive takes four hours and two hours, respectively. Both journeys pass through Fiordland National Park’s beautiful mountain landscapes including the Hollyford Valley, the Darran Mountains, and rain forest canyons—and there are plenty of breaks to take short walks and ample photos along the way. After the cruise, your driver returns you to your hotel.

Here's to Carl - Best Guide in the South

Truly a 10/10 experience. I was shaking so much, not from the scary bird statue at Te Anau, but from the amazing views from Milford Sound. Also glad to have wept at the whale movie on the end. Carl, you're an awesome bus driver, a...More

Great and comfortable tour, but path they take is not unique around Milford Sound

Picked us up in the downtown area. They showed up 5 min ahead of schedule which was nice. Our tour guide for the day was Carlos. He was really nice and an okay tour guide I think. After we confirmed our party name and proof...More

Good cruise, but great bus transfer

The wife and I took the bus transfer option from Queenstown with meal (Jucy Vista) and ended up with a packed bus full of tourists (not complaining). Our driver Carlos (sorry if I'm remembering wrong) was happily talking away on various subjects in between our...More
