Overview
Cruise Milford Sound all the way to the Tasman Sea aboard a spacious vessel with seating designed for viewing the spectacular scenery and native wildlife in any weather. You can book the Milford Sound on its own or combine it with round-trip bus transportation from selected hotels in Te Anau or Queenstown for an unforgettable full day of exploring Fiordland National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
What to Expect
Meet at the pier in Milford Sound, where you board your boat for a 1.5-hour cruise along Milford Sound. As you marvel at the soaring cliffs and waterfalls, enjoy fresh air on deck or stay warm in an indoor cabin stocked with hot tea and water. Either spot is ideal for watching for dolphins, seals, and rare penguins, and you’ll get unobstructed views of Mitre Peak and the Tasman Sea before returning to shore.

If you opt to book transportation to Milford Sound, meet your driver at your Queenstown or Te Anau hotel; the drive takes four hours and two hours, respectively. Both journeys pass through Fiordland National Park’s beautiful mountain landscapes including the Hollyford Valley, the Darran Mountains, and rain forest canyons—and there are plenty of breaks to take short walks and ample photos along the way. After the cruise, your driver returns you to your hotel.

Milford sound boat cruise

This was good however not as amazing as expected. The free breakfast was a hot cake which was too much for 9am - a cake or scone or pastry would have been better for that time in the morning. The boat was fine but the...More

Hi Lauren, Thanks for joining our Milford Sound cruise, and for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We reckon that a 2 hour cruise with a complimentary warm frittata and tea is a pretty good deal for $45! The fritatta is not...More

Smooth sailing

The cruise started with the serving of brunch cakes and juice. We then sailed out where the tour guide explains the history and geographical changes that took place. It was very informative. I rented a campervan from Jucy so my ticket was at 50% off....More
