Waipara is a picturesque valley in the north of Christchurch. This is one of New Zealand’s premier wine regions where pinot noir and riesling grapes do very well here. We will visit a series of cellars and tasting rooms, which may include Waipara Hills, Pegasus Bay, Waipara Springs, and Torlesse Wines (wineries are subject to change without notice depending on availability).
We are all about the experience, so we want to make sure that you have 100% worry-free tastings of NZ's finest wine. Lunch, tastings, and snacks and photographer are included so all you need to do is join us, seat and enjoy your day.

My favourite during the tour were lake Tekapo and the Tasman glacier. Certainly one my the most memorable trips I've been too!

Our hosts at each winery were welcoming and personable. We found wines at each stop that were quite nice. The additional discount for purchases made on the tour were appreciated. Lunch was tasty and well timed. Nothing was rushed. I had a vegetarian lunch platter that was very nice.

Had the most amazing day touring the Waipara region. The team at Cheeky were super helpful and didn't hesitate to provide us with anything we required. Everyone on our tour had a great time and I would recommend Cheeky to anyone thinking of organising a Waipara Wine Tour.

We were chauffeured around by Jesse for 2 days & we had a lot of fun. My bucket list item was to travel the Tranzalpine which was all good until we couldn't get the return trip. In steps Jesse where while having a chat about his wine tours I mention the transfer problem & he offers to come get us. Easy peasy, best of both worlds! Highly recommend train over & being driven back so you can see this bits you can't from the train such as the seriously impressive Otira Viaduct. Shame about the distinct lack of "everywhere" kea!
Next day we trekked up to Hanmer for a hot pool sesh followed by an awesome wine tour.
Loved the personal service & behind the scenes peek with Kirk @ Georges Road. Yummo platter lunch & amazing tasting at Torlesse (so amazing a case was shipped home for future imbibing!).
Final stop on a totally top day was the stunningly situated Terrace Edge.
Thanks for a brilliant couple of trips Jesse, can't recommend #cheekywinetours highly enough.
PS. Thanks for pulling the playlist together, nothing like a good old-fashioned roadie sing-along!

I booked a private tour with my wife and parents for my birthday last weekend.
Our trip was so great that I've been inspired to write a review! The transport was comfortable, the tour went like clockwork (e.g. lunch was on the table five mins after we sat down), the timing was perfect, and we felt comfortable and well looked after.
We had lunch at one of the larger wineries (Waipara Springs) then tastings at two smaller, family-run vineyards we wouldn't have found if we weren't on a tour. All were fantastic.
Chloe and Belen were fantastic - they were really professional, friendly and attentive. We all felt comfortable relaxing, being ourselves, and even singing a tune (or ten) as we drove.
If you want to support local business during the next stage of the pandemic, this is a great way to do it!

This was amazing! I went for my birthday and we were absolutely looked after. We chose the trip with three wineries and snacks. The snacks included were chips and crackers on the bus which was actually so great. All of the staff at the three wineries were knowledgeable and taught us heaps. Such great value for money!!! Would definitely go again.

I used Cheeky Wine Tours for a Hens party a few weekends ago. We had almost 30 people attending and Jesse and the team and Cheeky Wine Tours made the experience so easy. Jesse was so accomodating in the organisation process even when I changed the plan constantly to accommodate all the guests.
on the day our driver Trish was great. She was the perfect blend of doing her job to keep us all safe but understanding that hens party should be fun and noisey.
The venues we went to were perfect and they even provided snacks along the way and took many photos throughout the day.
All n all I can not recommend Cheeky Wine tours highly enough!

A wonderful day spent with friends in the sunshine among beautiful scenery, tasting delicious wines and eating scrumptious food. Thanks to our amazing guides we visited three lovely wineries, all with generous tastings and friendly staff. All we needed to bring was a bottle of water, everything else was thought of in advance to ensure we could enjoy our day, such as aircon in the comfy van, a fun music playlist of our choice, and snacks to keep us going. Thank you Jesse and team for making our day so special.

Excellent trip to 4 vineyards with Jessie, prompt pickup from our hotel and then lots of lovely wine all day, neat that at most of the cellar doors the owners were the ones to tell you about their wines. The lunch was yum at Waipara Springs Winery and even a lovely Port at the end of the day at Torlesse Wines. Our group of friends thoroughly enjoyed this tour and we would recommend.

We had a really great day. Our van driver Crystal was wonderful! The wineries were lovely, the lunch was delicious. The amount of time we spent at each location was perfect. Jesse was great to organise this with and was very accomodating if I had to change anything e.g. group numbers, etc. Would highly recommend- thanks!

Cheeky Kea Tours was very helpful and flexible with arrangements. We booked only the day before and was not a problem. Jessie was really approachable and informative. We all had a great day and was cost effective so thanks heaps - Will definitely use them again.

We loved our trip. Roger was a very careful driver.
We visited first Georges Road, then Torlesse Wines and finally Terrace Edge, all with delicious tastings.
Most amazing was Maggie Rayner from Torlesse Wines with her charming and profound explanations. Also the lunch here was excellent.
Terrace Edge is mentioned to have organic wines, but we didn't get any information about the special procedures.
Still, the trip is most recommendable.
