        Mammas day out
Simon was a great tour guide knowledgeable on his wine and happy to answer any questions. It was a nice way to celebrate an early mothers day. The first stop Moy Hall was beautiful, well presented, great detail of wines. The second stop Grava was unfortunately underwhelming and not much engagement from the host she merely just gave us a piece of paper to read and small amounts of tastings. The third winery was the best Muirlea the hosts were generous in their pour, knowledge and humor and you could tell because all 9 of us on board brought something from him. Apart from the 2nd winery everything else was fab

Had a great time. Phil was a terrific guide. The drive over the pass was quite beautiful. The three wineries were great choices. We really enjoyed our lunch at Moy Hall. Will definitely look at other tours in the future

We are from Australia and had the best day. From the time our tour guide Michael picked us up from Wellington Station we knew we were going to have a great day. He was interesting, had the best sense of humour, and we had a ball. Thanks Michael from Sally Susan Jenny and Cintiia ❤️

Great Wellington tour from a cruise ship
My Wife & I took this tour in Wellington on Tuesday 9th of April 2024, we were picked up from where our cruise ship was docked, our tour guide Michael was awesome, he had a great sense of humor & was very friendly, we visited Old Saint Paul’s Anglican church, amazing views from various coastlines, beaches & lookouts, including right up to the base of one of many wind turbines, we visited the “Workshop Weta Cave” (a place with models to purchase & many on display from movie sets like the Lord of the rings/ Hobbit & others. We had no idea what this was before we went on the tour), we had a fantastic lunch a the “Spruce Goose” we also visited the Lady Norwood Rose Garden. We highly recommend this tour & company.

Lovely Day out of the City
A lovely visit to the Martinborough area. It was only a 90 minute drive from Wellington but the beautiful area felt like a completely different place. Lunch at the Moy Hall Vineyard was excellent, but be aware that all the dishes are advertised as suitable for 1.5 people, so if you're travelling alone don't have a large breakfast! Finally, Simon the guide was friendly and engaging and the drive over the mountains felt completely safe in his hands.

        Fantastic Wine and Foodie Tour
Picked up by Zozo owner Phil at the cruise terminal and headed to Martinborough winery district with commentary on Wellington and surrounding area. Stopped for a photo shoot at the top of the winding mountain pass and onto C'est Cheese shop for tasting of 5 cheeses and coffee. Really good dialogue on cheese manufacturing by the owner. Next was Moy Hall winery starting with an informative tour of the vines hosted by the owner (another Phil!). Inside for a fantastic lunch with four generous tasting wines. Next stop at Olivo olive estate and a tour of the grove with owner Helen and olive oil tasting. Back on the bus and a visit to a small craft beer brewery for a slider of 4 different beers/cider. Last stop was a chocolate shop where Phil offered the group little samples of chocolate flavours to guess which bars they came from. Overall an excellent, informative and relaxed tour well worth the price and highly recommended,

        Good wine tour
Good tour, which I’d certainly recommend. There’s a spectacular drive over the Remataku Pass to Martinborough, and then it’s not far between wineries. Unfortunately I joined the tour at Wellington Station & had a cold 30 mins wait. The last winery was very crowded & I found it less enjoyable, but it was a Saturday.

The tour was great - Phil was engaging, knowledgable and entertaining. The chocolate shop was lovely, the winery was beautiful and the lighthouse/seal were special. The bus was comfortable, plenty of room and the scenery was spectacular - it was great to see a different side to Wellington. My only negative and it really is not a negative is that as we were only here for a couple of days and busy on tours so we had to say no to the cheese as I could not take it home with me when I left New Zealand. Great job Phil - we had a lovely day!!!

Thanks for the great feedback Dean. It was my pleasure to host you both for the day. We do provide a chilly bag with ice packs for any cheese purchases that need t be kept chilled on tour but there is not much we can do about taking soft cheeses abroad!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our day. We had opportunities to try marvelous food in charming shops and wineries, and saw many beautiful and wild places far off the beaten track. Included were some short walks in a variety of lovely terrains, and views of sea lions and many native birds.
Our guide, Phil, was friendly, attentive, and provided loads of great information. The small size group meant we had time to chat with others also interested in this kind of experience. It was a terrific tour in every way.

Fantastic day traveling through the countryside of the most southern eastern point of the North Island. Tour includes a cheese tasting, chocolate tasting and a lovely wine tasting with lunch at a beautiful vineyard Poppies. Then onto the coast where we see seals and their pups enjoying the wild surf. Perused the countryside with the many paddocks of sheep and cows. Ended the tour at Cape Ferry for a delicious fish n chips dinner by the chef Luc. Phil our guide was very knowledgeable and gave history and facts about the culture of New Zealand. Had a great sense of humor and answered all questions. Would highly recommend this tour. Full day and worth every miniute.
Thanks Phil for a great day.

Amazing tours. Tour guide, Matthew was so lovely and took a lot of trouble to explain things to us. He took us on an extended drive and even took the trouble to allow us dinner, before returning us to our accommodation. We were taken to some really awesome wineries. I would like to recommend this company for your wine tours in Martinborough

Unfortunately this is review is for another business and tour experience. I've raised the error with TripAdvisor but they're incredibly inept when it comes to identifying and dealing with these sorts of issues. I do know Matthew though and will pass on your great feedback. And of course we also offer great wine tours in Martinborough but the tour you have submitted your review to does not match your review description. So just to clarify our Wine and Wild Coast Tour does include both lunch and dinner but only one winery visit (in addition to some great sightseeing stops too!).

Zozo was suggested by our hotel concierge and we booked the day tour. Simon, our guide, punctually collected us at the hotel in a new and comfortable van that we shared with other wine enthusiasts. He was extremely friendly and great at providing information, accommodating requests and taking us to some great wineries where we enjoyed an excellent lunch and tasted some delicious New Zealand pinot noirs. It was a great day, with a really friendly atmosphere. The weather was lovely too adding to the already excellent experience. If you are visiting Wellington and thinking of touring wineries Zozo is an excellent option and we highly recommend them.

Very professional , friendly well thought out day. Various stops were fun and lunch and dinner were also very good. The wine tasting at Poppies was, in my opinion, rather rushed, and we were not offered any red wine to taste, them having apparently sold out of their pinot noir. As a winy (whiny?) enthusiast I was disappointed with this part, but Phil was a great host and I would recommend the day

Thanks for the review Shawn. It was a my pleasure to host you. Yes, unfortunately both the Poppies pinot noir and tempranillo are sold out at time of writing and aren't currently available in the tasting. This is partly due to the popularity of the product but also in the short term a result of a wet summer resulting in no 2023 vintage. There is a another local pinot noir available by the glass at lunch however which I hope you enjoyed. Older vintages are also available over lunch but are not covered by the tour fee. The region doesn't produce any other red varietals in any great volume so the tasting was largely whites plus some pinot noir rosé for our visit.

The full day trip was excellent and we really enjoyed Phil’s commentary along the way. The highlights included the hidden forest where we learnt about local fauna - such a beautiful place; the winery with particular mention to the food platter; and the seals. A well rounded trip across the bottom -?thanks for a great day

Excellent day, lunch at Poppies, Martinborough particularly good.
Countryside was wild and interesting. Commentary also informative and interesting. Only complaint was 4 people in back seats.3 would have been much more comfortable, as 2 were over 6 feet tall. Otherwise bus was excellent.
