Coast to Cave and so much in between!
Our guide was Gary and he was great. Many good sites that we would not have seen otherwise (like the wind turbine!). Lunch at the Chocolate Fish was a nice touch. Since it was juat the two of us on the tour that day, Gary amended the route slightly for us since we had already been up the cable car (thank you Gary!). Would recommend the tour: good value for money!

        Very enjoyable experience
It was a very nice way to visit the vineyards with a small group of people. We visited three very pleasant vineyards and had a good lunch at the second.

Excellent trip! Michael was a conscientious, knowledgeable, and fun driver and guide. The three wineries we visited were excellent opportunities to experience New Zealand wines-beautiful locations and friendly staff. Would highly recommend!

Great tour with cheese and wine sampling. Tracy the guide the fantastic.
Tracy the tour guide and driver was fantastic! She even gave my mom a sample of a facial lotion that my mother was thankful for. If Tracy can send us the link on how we can get more it would be much appreciated. The tour was absolutely fantastic especially the cheese and wine tasting!

        Great wine & scenic tour
Mia was fantastic organising extra tickets for the tour and could not of been more helpful. Mike was great - cracked a few kiwi Aussie jokes that set the scene for day. The wineries were really great, lovely settings and scenery and best of all superb wines - cannot fault tour!

        A great experience
A great wine tour. Very knowledgeable guide who was friendly and good fun. We had tastings at three vineyards and one included gin tasting. The lunch (not included in the price) was delicious and in fabulous surroundings overlooking a vineyard. I left my glasses on the bus and they were returned to me the next day. The operator went out of their way to accommodate us. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic day. They wines at the 3 wineries we visited were delicious and the staff friendly and knowledgeable. Lunch at the final stop was also delicious. The accompanying thunderstorm just added to our enjoyment of the day. Highly recommended.

Great Tour with a Great Guide in Wellington, NZ
When our cruise ship docked in Wellington last month, my husband and I took this tour with Zozo Travel, booked via Viator before leaving home. Mia from Zozo Travel was very helpful with the instruction on where to meet. Gary was our driver and guide for the day. He picked us up at the port and other people from several hotels. There were eight of us in the van. We covered all the places listed on the itinerary. It was a lot of areas to cover in a limited amount of time, so we sat in a van a lot, but the scenery was beautiful. Also, despite the tour name, there was actually no “cave” visit, but a visit to Weta Cave Workshop – a souvenir shop for Lord of the Ring aficionados. Our favorite stop was the included lunch at the Chocolate Fish Café at a beautiful seaside location. It was very crowded, but a table was set aside for our group. Each person gets a drink and a main from the menu. While the food was average, service and ambiance were great! Gary got us back to the port in a timely manner. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Wellington!

        Excellent wine tasting tour!
This wine tour was excellent. Small group of us. Comfortable van with Simon at the helm. He was so knowledgeable about not only the area but of the wine area specifically. All 3 vineyards were good - Helen led the first tasting - she knows her stuff and is passionate about it. The second stop was more about the lunch offerings. The wait staff were just okay. Not terribly friendly. The third stop with Georgia guiding the tasting was very good. I would recommend this tour highly. Especially as this is not as busy of a wine area as Marlborough and the wines were very good. A bonus - the first stop included a Gin tasting too.

Excellent tour! Guide Michael good fun and very informative. Made everyone feel welcome and included. Enjoyed the wineries..each quite different. The lunch (pay for your own) was delicious. Glad we had time to stop for cheese on way back…and thanks for blue monkey recommendation! I’d eat that all day if I could!

        Delicious Educational Fun!
We loved touring the Olivo olive grove and sampling the award-winning olive oils. The vineyard tour, wine tastings, and farm-to-table lunch were all excellent. We also enjoyed the chocolate tasting and cheese tasting. Each host was enthusiastic and eager to share about their craft. You will see spectacular mountain scenery on the drive into Martinborough! Our Zozo Travel host and guide Phil is extremely knowledgeable about New Zealand, shared his knowledge freely, and answered all our many questions. The tour was not rushed and moved at a very relaxed pace. We learned a lot and enjoyed his company! We highly recommend this tour with Zozo Travel.

We had the absolute pleasure of joining the Wine and Wild Coast tour, and it was an experience we won't soon forget. From the moment we set off, we were captivated by the stunning scenery and the warm hospitality of our guide, Phil.

The tour itself was a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. We explored the picturesque vineyards of Martinborough, sampling a variety of delicious wines, chocolates and cheese. Lunch at Poppies was amazing!

Phil's knowledge and passion for the region were evident, making each stop even more enjoyable.

The rugged cliffs, and the iconic Cape Palliser lighthouse were simply breathtaking. Phil's insights into the local history and culture added an extra layer of depth to the experience.

Phil was friendly, informative, accommodating and always went the extra mile to ensure we had a fantastic time.

If you're looking for a day filled with stunning scenery, delicious wine, and unforgettable experiences, we highly recommend the Wine and Wild Coast tour. It's a must-do for anyone visiting Wellington.

Like many of the reviews of the Wine an Wild Coast Tour, I also only have praise for this great day exploring the Martinborough wine region and the wild Wairarapa coast of NZ.
Phillip, our capable guide provided a full-day tour from Wellington to Martinborough, visiting the Hutt Valley, the Rimutaka Ranges, the Wairarapa coast, as well as Lake Onoke. We also visited Poppies winery - very avant garde with generous wine tastings, and wonderful tappas. We continued on to explore the wild and wonderful Wairarapa coast; saw the seals, then an early dinner at the Lake Ferry Hotel on the edge of Lake Onoke - the sunset on the water from the hotel dining room made the meal even more enjoyable.
It was a most enjoyable day, and to spend it also in very good company, particularly with Phillip our guide, whose sound knowledge of this tour; his personable, professional disposition certainly made it a day to remember.

The tour was amazing, taking in the coast, visiting points of interest, wineries and pubs. It is hard to pick just one thing and single it out. The tour was a group of four people, a couple and me and a female friend. I would have thought a nice size for an inclusive group.
The experience at the wine tastings was amazing and a shout out to the providers at Moy Hall who at short notice were able to cater for our different dietary requirements and restrictions. The tasting plates were fantastic, and the service was exemplary., even though it was a busy Saturday lunch. We were able to taste four different wines which accompanied out meal.
The stop at the cheese place was a bit of a letdown as Saturday mornings are busy and we did not really get a look in for the anticipated cheese tasting.
The visit to Shoc Chocolates was a taste sensation where we got to taste a variety of really nice chocolates. I had to but a bar to take away with me.
The drive along the coast showed us the beauty and grandeur of the coastline and the hilly terrain of the Upper Hutt area. Another highlight was the visit to the seal colony and the
Unfortunately, the tour operator was only able to converse with the male and his wife and questions that were asked by my friend, and I were ignored or glossed over. Phillip Mildenhall carried on a running conversation with that couple and the male in particular ignoring the other two people in the bus. One wonders whether this was because we were female and part of the older cohort of travelers. It might be an idea for the tour operator to include everyone in his conversations and not leave people feeling like second class citizens.

Thanks for your feedback and praise for the wonderful sightseeing and foodie experience you had on your tour. I'm very sorry to hear that you felt excluded from conversations whilst onboard and it was certainly never intentional and not the kind of feedback I've ever received before. It was most definitely not gender or age age related.

Great Tour and Guide. A variety of different experiences on this full day tour. A walk in the rainforest, lookouts from the top of the mountains, award winning chocolate and cheese tastings, lunch and wine tasting and my favorite; the visit to the most southern part of the North Island, Cape Pallister Lighthouse. The draggy coastline, agitated sea and schools of seals was a spectacular show

We were collected from our hotel by owner Phil in a very comfortable Mercedes minibus. Off to Kaitoke National Park- with its suspension bridge and a wet rain forest walk. Phil knows his stuff, and I almost strained my neck getting photos of the tall timber and epiphytes. Then up over the range (with a photo stop at the top) to C'est Cheese in Featherston for a tasting (magnificent!). Then to Greytown for a blind tasting of chocolate at Shoc choc ( even better!!). With the taste of chocolate figuratively still in your mouth it's into Poppies at Martinborough for a tasting, then to have a shared vinyard platter ( and more wine) for lunch. The scenery is magnificent & Phil's knowledge and presentation filled any gaps. We were to drive east to see fur seals and the Cape Pallister lighthouse, returning to Lake Ferry for dinner. "Best laid plans.." etc saw a possibly fatal car accident blocking the one road in and out of those destinations, so Phil came up with a plan B, which took us to Muirlea Rise vinyard, home of Shaun the winemaker, and some magnificent fortified wine served with a wicked sense of humour. Then to Blue Earth Estate to walk amongst the Olive Grove, fruit trees and vinyard with owner Margaret and taste their Gold Medal winning extra Virgin Olive Oil and wine. Who knew such a beautiful place could be created from a sheep paddock by 2 dedicated people. Then back to Featherston to the Royal Hotel for a very pleasant dinner, and home to our Hotel. We had a magnificent day, and while Phil was disappointed that he was unable to give us the brochure tour, Plan B may possibly have been better - we'll have to wait for the net time to find out. By the way, the other guests on the tour ( fellow Aussies) where on their second trip with Phil's company, having so much enjoyed their first 6 months before.

If I could rate Zozo travel higher I would. We dealt with Phillip, the owner, in planning our trip, enjoyed his company as our guide, and could not be more pleased! Since we live in the USA and he is in NewZealand Phillip suggested WhatsApp for direct communication and payment. It worked beautify. We were able to personalize our private tour to get in everything we wanted. Our trip was via cruise ship, so we were very limited on time. He was constantly aware of how long it takes from each point to make sure we were back in plenty of time to board our ship. He continually pointed out places of interest and filled us in on New Zealand facts. He even made an unplanned stop so my son-in-law and grandson could get all black rugby jerseys. We would highly recommend him and his tours. He was easy to work with and very organized.

This tour is absolutely phenomenal! We had an amazing day with Phil, and three other ladies on this trip. The trip is packed with lots of different activities and sights to see, but our guide Phil did an amazing job at keeping us on schedule, without making things feel rushed. We thoroughly enjoyed the chocolate tasting and the stop at the winery, where we enjoyed a delicious platter for lunch and some great wines! The dinner was also wonderful and was so nice to be able to select an a-la-carte menu item and an alcoholic beverage. Phil has a great sense of humour and is extremely knowledgable, providing us with lots of great information and laughs throughout the trip. Driving all the way out to Cape Palliser Lighthouse was a highlight of our vacation and something that we would have never visited, had we not been on this tour! We loved our tour so much that we booked the 5 hour Wellington tour with Phil the following day and enjoyed it as well! I would HIGHLY recommend this tour to anyone visiting Wellington that is looking for a great day of adventure, food, and beautiful sights! Thank you so much for making our time in Wellington so memorable Phil!

Fantastic day out! Phil was an excellent tour guide and driver. We walked on a swing bridge, saw some Kahikatea trees, enjoyed some mountain views, visited a cheese shop, tasted and guessed over 12 flavours of chocolate, some of which were very unique! Lunch was delicious at Poppies vineyard. Wine tasting was fun too. The Wairarapa coast was breath-taking and we saw so many seal pups playing in the natural pools. Phil certainly knows the best spots to view them. Next stop was Cape Palliser lighthouse and a steep 258 steps challenge up to the lighthouse. It was definitely worth it for the fabulous coastal views. Dinner was another delicious meal at a Featherston restaurant, which was recently patronised by Ed Sheeran!
I thoroughly enjoyed the day and highly recommend this tour. Thanks Phil!

What a fun day with 8 other travelers and Mike, our Fearless Leader and Driver! I truly want to thank Mia for helping me to make a reservation on a day when this trip was definitely going! The whole day was paced at just the right level. Stops, walks, tastings and meals were all top-notch. I will never forgive Mike for enticing me to climb the 252 steps to the lighthouse - my legs are still killing me today! - BUT it was totally worth the view! Also, the fact that the gentleman who owns The Lake Ferry Hotel and Pub we had dinner at - he must think a lot of Zozo Travel to agree to open the restaurant JUST for our group! A very cordial host and one hell of a cook! We also saw seals up close- basking on the rocks, the pups playing with each other and mom or testing out their new skills and having fun in the water. I couldn't stop taking pictures - so damn cute!
