Great trip for our honeymoon in 2018. We did this as a chilled experience to be on Lake Taupo and loved every minute. It was such a great way to spend a few hours chilling out and let someone else do the driving for once on the trip! The Carvings themselves are really amazing and well worth the money. There was even beers and wine thrown in on the return trip and swimming in the crystal clear waters of Lake Taupo. Absolutely amazing. Really fantastic host as well and really not hugely expensive at all for what you get.

We went out on the trip with our two skippers a few days ago to see the Maori Rock Carvings. The trip was fantastic and we even got food and a drink on board. Being out on the lake was wonderful, the carvings themselves are well worth seeing and our skippers were v friendly and informative. We had a great time!

Very competent skipper, who shared knowledge about the carvings and other points of interest around the lake. He was very patient with others taking the helm , including children. He also offered plentiful pizza and refreshing beverages. The yacht is a classic and sailed quite steadily under the changing conditions on the lake. Would definitely recommend!

Very pleasant and relaxing experience, good value for money. Highly recommend if you have never been sailing or spent much time on boats. Make sure to bring a hat, sunglassess and sunscreen as it can get quite sunny out on the water depending on the cloud situation. It can also get cold so bring a jumper too. The skipper is friendly and engaging, it feels very laidback. The rock carvings are cool and you get a lot of history about the lake throughout the experience. Generous with pizza if you get that ticket option (although no vegan pizza understandably).

Even though the weather was less than favourable, Dave and Jess made the adventure informative and fun. Didn't get to swim but had fun in the downpours, I can thoroughly recommend this sailing trip to the Maori Rock Carvings and you also get pizza and beer. Great afternoon, thanks again.
We'll be back for the sunset cruise soon.

What a pleasant way to spend an afternoon, unfortunately no wind so we didn't get to experience the sailing but Dave was looking for the wind all the way home. He invited us back another time. We throughly enjoyed out time, listening to the stories, chatting with other guests, having a pizza and a drink while leaning back on a bean bag - great value for money. We will be back.

We loved this trip. Holidaying with teenagers is never easy but all 3 of them loved this. The pizza was generous, the scenery and carvings were beautiful but the highlight was stopping for an awesome swim in the lake followed by a cold drink and a stunning sunset. The guides were friendly and let the boys have a go at steering the boat which put a massive grin on their faces.

This was a fantastic experience- we have previously had a trip to the carvings on a different charter, but this one surpassed our previous (good) experience. Dave was a brilliant captain and host, very knowledgeable and entertaining and an all round nice guy. We had heaps of time at the swimming spot and my older kids had a turn at steering the boat (younger kids can too, but ours didn’t want to). The pizza lunch was generous and the complimentary drink was just what we needed after a swim. An all round great experience that we all loved. Highly recommended.

Sailing across Lake Taupo in the sunshine was the perfect way to end our adventure. The carvings are very interesting and our guide made everything more enjoyable with his fantastic personality. Sign up for this excursion and a delightful trip !

Such a beautiful and relaxing trip. Skipper Dave was awesome with great knowledge and hospitality. We were very impressed with the service - outside of the 24 hour cancellation period we weren't able to make our scheduled trip due to changes in our holiday plan. We expected to not be able to attend the trip despite already paying for it due to this. However, Jess very kindly allowed us to simply change the day of our trip which we deeply appreciated - thank you so much again!
