Heard about this tour from friends who had done it sometime ago and didn't disappoint. The Skipper, Pete, was very good and talked alot about the lake, surrounds and the rock cravings. The trip was a bit blustery but made it all the more enjoyable to sail. The yacht was very

If your looking for a relaxing afternoon sailing on the lake, this is the cruise for you! The environmentally friendly sailing option sold it for us, and we spent the afternoon lazing in the sun peacefully cruising out to the Maori rock carvings which were fascinating!

Thank you for your review. Yes you are correct we are the only sustainable option on the lake. Moving around on the boat is a little like being at the movies. A few knees to negotiate :) Thanks for the tip about wearing warm clothing. We will look forward to taking you out for a Summer sail with swimming or you can combine an evening cocktail cruise with a swim.

Thank you very much for your wonderful review. Pete (owner/skipper) will be delighted to know that his messages about the lake and sustainability have been appreciated. I am also impressed his Maori pronunciation was easy on your ears:) Our all weather boat has been great as back up to the yacht for those days when whaea whenua is too fierce So thanks for your kind words and we look forward to seeing you again, maybe in the summer when you can swim in the lake or enjoy a glass of wine on a sunset trip.
