Thanks Mike for your prompt review. Even though it was a cruise ship day in the Bay of Islands we managed to avoid the crowds and get the forests all to yourselves. As an additional tip don't forget the batteries for the camera accessories as well ;-) Cheers, Mark.

My husband and I did the Jeep tour with owner Mark. It was super fun! He asked us what we wanted to see and made it happen! We had the most delicious lunch at a winery and went to the glow worm caves. Mark is very knowledgeable and accommodating and showed us a great day!!

Tui drove us all over the bay of islands area for 4 hours. She was very informative, knows a lot about New Zealand. We saw the kaui forest, the town of Pahuia, Rainbow Falls, Harruru Falls, farmland, marinas, etc. She was very willing to adapt the tour to what we want3d to see.

Thanks Jeanie, Tui had a great time meeting you and your fellow Canadians and answering your diverse and interesting range of questions. She is emailing you a list of links to the topics that you touched on regarding the Kawakawa Cultural Centre building methods and Maori culture, so that should keep you busy when you get back from your travels when you have more time!
