About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 581srl0 contributionsTravelling with the “Coast to Coast Tour Limited”We had a wonderful trip travelling with the “Coast to Coast Tour Limited” today. Mr. Allan was a very cautious driver to drive carefully on the road although the weather was a bit foggy and the view was a bit misty on the road. We enjoyed feeding all kinds of animals such as the roaster, the hens, the sheep, the rabbits and the deers when we reached the farm. And we had a good walk in the forestry park seeing the 600 years old Kauri Tree. The walk was certainly helpful in our digestion after having a heavy lunch of chicken burger with chips. And we had seen a very good scenario along the seaside and the waterfront and there were many yachts parking at the harbour of Auckland. It was a pleasant journey travelling with the “Coast to Coast Tour Limited” together with Mr. Allan who was very good in introducing and explaining to us the interesting places that we had visited.Written 24 June 2024
- donnamG5283GS0 contributionsA taste of a farm in the cityGreat way to get a feel for farming near to the city. People of all ages enjoyed getting up close to and feeding all the animals and there are several different varieties.Written 22 May 2024
- K7806KWsharonw0 contributionsAwesome AucklandPeter, with Coast to Coast Tours was fantastic. Communication was great throughout the process. I booked a tour/shore excursion for 18 people. The timing of our ship's arrival kept changing. Peter was patient and accomodating. We had a wonderful day and went to a Manuka honey place, black sand beach, and Sheep World. We had delicious fish and chips at a beautiful park with a 300 year old tree . We even stopped for Hokey Pokey ice cream. Our driver was super nice and I feel bad that I cannot remember his name. I highly recommend Coast to Coast.Written 12 May 2024
- Betsy-Frank0 contributionsFabulous Day at Sheep WorldWonderful tour with Allan as our tour guide. The van was modern, clean and comfortable. Loved seeing not only Sheep World but also interesting commentary as we drove. Learned so much from the sheep show. This is a 'must see' don't miss it. Allan was very accommodating.Written 28 April 2024
- J3233QOellent0 contributionsFANTASTIC SHEEP WORLD COUNTRY TOURKia Ora! My best friend along with our husbands celebrated our birthdays and enjoyed the Sheep World Country Tour. Our tour guide/operator, Peter was so gracious and accommodating throughout our tour. Driving through the country side was so serene that it melted all our stresses away. Our first stop at the Honey Centre was fascinating. Never knew so many products can be made out of honey with great health benefits! We bought jars for all our family members. Next stop was at Sheep World. We loved feeding the various animals and found the sheep dogs and sheep shearing show very educational. Knowing that our contributions also helps with supporting young people made it so much more meaningful. Our tour took us to a chocolate shop, beautiful beaches and we also took a stroll to a park to see the Kauri trees. Throughout the tour, Peter was very knowledgeable and informative. This experience will always be a memorable one for me. Peter, thank you so much for your hospitality. P.S. the lion tamer.... lol!Written 27 March 2024
- Daydream178859987360 contributionsFantastic Tour by Jose!Highly recommended! This is by far the best tour I have ever been on. Jose is an excellent guide, who made all of us feel so at home. Knowledgeable, friendly and with a great sense of humour (talk cock haha)! LawrenceWritten 10 February 2024
- WandaJ4070 contributionsComprehensive Auckland ExperienceWe had a great day with Jose "yo-say" (took me a while to get that right). Sheepworld was not only a sheep dog and shearing show, but had a substantial animal farm full of friendly critters to feed. Jose also took us to some scenic lookouts, a Kauri (NZ tree) park walk and a wonderful lunch cafe near a local potter's workshop and showroom.Written 7 February 2024
- BrittTravelsAround0 contributionsGreat stopover stop with kidsSheep world was in the best stopover spot on our roadtrip from Paihia to Heihei. We didn't visit during a tour or sheepshearing show, but we were the only people for awhile on the property which was quite nice. My son loved every minute of it. Truthfully, coming from the states, it was a small farm/petting zoo but overall the staff was super friendly and we enjoyed feeding the animals. There was a good variety of animals as well. We would go back again.Written 3 January 2024
- karendD5038CC0 contributionsLoved Sheep World! And the gift shop!!Sheep World was a delightful afternoon visiting the friendly, cute animals. Even when it was pouring rain, the hosts were helpful and we got to bottle feed baby sheep. Be sure and ask about the Huntaway dog!! I had never heard of such and he is really cute. Lunch was good, even vegetarian options for my granddaughter. Small but nice gift shop with quality items...I have a very cute winter hat with a sheep on it from there and my granddaughter bought family gifts. Enjoy, worth the drive.Written 24 August 2023
- jeffhB4588JI0 contributionsVery friendly tour guideIt was a rainy day so everyone else on the tour canceled but me. Instead of canceling the the entire tour for the day they still did the tour with only myself. The farm was great with very friendly animals and people. The winery was beautiful even on a rainy day. I had a lot of one on one time with the tour guide who was very friendly and gave me a lot of advice on where to visit on my trip to Auckland and Wellington. Definitely recommend this tour!Written 21 July 2023
- 696dixiet0 contributionsA Perfect Day in New ZealandMy husband and I took this amazing tour with Peter as our tour guide. This is the very best tour I have ever been on. Peter was amazing with all the information he gave us as we were exploring the city and country side around Auckland. Sheep World was so interesting and the lady who shore the sheep was really wonderful at her job. She explained the process as she sheared the sheep. She also let us ask questions and interacted with the audience. It was great and feeding the animals was really fun. Peter also took us to Honey Centre and we saw the bees in a wall that was their comb. Their honey is double sealed so we could buy it and take it on the plane. It was very interesting. Peter took us to lunch and it was very delicious. He took us to places that I'm sure a lot of guides wouldn't have. He is a very kind man and his manners are implacable. It was a delightful day and touring the city was very interesting also. I can't say enough about how well were treated and respected. If you want an exciting, relaxing tour this is the one for you. I would have given this tour a ten if there had been a score that high. I met a man from Los Angeles in Sydney and he was traveling to Auckland next. I suggested that he take this tour and I hope he did.Written 27 April 2023
- Y6436OTgrahamp0 contributionsGreat TourWe took a delightful tour with guide Peter. It was a lovely drive through countryside North and West of Auckland plenty of delightful stops. The sheep farm show was very interesting and the children present were mesmerised by the display, very unusual these days. Peter organised a great lunch after a power cut affected our original plan.Written 7 January 2023
- MeganR6370 contributionsTwo enthusiastic thumbs upMy dad & I had a private tour with Peter. We visited a beautiful beach spot, the honey center, and Sheepworld. We got to sample local honey and alcohol products using honey, and we ate a very good lunch at Sheepworld. We also stopped to see an 900-year-old massive Kauri tree. On the way back into Auckland, Peter insisted we had to try two Kiwi favorites - hokey pokey ice cream and Goody Goody gum drop ice cream. I strongly recommend the hokey pokey ice cream. It was great to chat with him about his life and living in New Zealand. I’m happy we got out of the city center to also get to see where people actually live. Plus, I am a huge animal lover, so getting to see the sheep and cows and alpacas and pigs and emu was a delight. We came in via cruise and decided the shore excursions offered by the cruise line sounded boring. I’m glad we got to have a small personal experience with a really great guy. I highly recommend taking any tour with Coast to Coast, especially with Peter!Written 22 December 2022
- jeemengtan0 contributionsSheep WorldA fantastic day tour. Went to Honeycentre, SheepWorld and some other sites along the way. Peter is amazing guide who is friendly and gives lots of information during the tour. Watching and feeding the animals in Sheep World was quite an experience. Highly recommended tour !Written 19 December 2022
- Burdett P0 contributionsFabulous GuidePeter customized this tour for us by picking us up at the airport upon our arrival. Peter demonstrated extreme flexibility when our flight departed and arrived late. We communicated via WhatsApp prior to our departure and he simply had us text him when we arrived. Peter knows the area and offers many insights. We had a wonderful experience meeting real people in an agrarian setting. Definitely will contact Peter at Coast to Coast Tours again if we return to Auckland.Written 13 November 2022

A great day visiting wineries, sampling new wines, and learning about the history of wine in the region. Susan provided great insights and even some bonus anecdotes about the Rings of Power filming nearby!

This was absolutely the best tour! Peter (operator) selected 3 awesome wineries, all different, which made for a great experience! Lunch at the last one was fabulous and the scenery gorgeous! We also enjoyed the sights of the countryside, the incredible shoreline and black sand beach! The day could not have been better! Thank you, Peter!!!

We had a private tour with Josey and it was wonderful! The wineries were great, especially Soljans. We learned about the family history at the vineyard. The drive through the area and to the beach was beautiful. This is well worth the experience!
