The ideal tour to learn and drink! Amazing location and hidden gems I would never find by myself. Darcy is an amazing guide as well

We spent our first night in New Zealand on this historic bar crawl led by Darcy. An Auckland native, he indulged our group in a ton of local history, both related to each drinking establishment and New Zealand as a whole. Darcy was an excellent guide and in addition to being knowledgeable and friendly, had a great sense of humor. If you love learning interesting history tidbits and sampling great local beers, I highly recommend!

This bar tour was a wonderful way to explore Auckland, all while learning about historical and cultural significances that I wouldn’t otherwise pickup on. Darcy was fun and kept us well entertained while also providing keys facts to the city and country. Would recommend to anyone and everyone as a way to learn about the city.

We actually came back to Auckland one night early to go on this tour and we weren’t disappointed. It was one of the highlights of our trip and definitely the highlight of Auckland. I liked the stories about the women in New Zealands history and it was great to try different New Zealand beers, the bars even let us sample some extra ones. Darcy is very personable, and it was great to support a small business.

Auckland's historic bar tour is an incredibly fun way to get to know New Zealand history and the kiwi evolution of beer. The path takes you through the CBD to different historic bars, that a tourist might easily pass by. Darcy is a wonderful host, and holds a plethora of different information. It was great to get to know the city and beer through and Auckland native, and to top it all off, each beer was unique and delicious! Absolutely recommend!

This was such a cool tour. We had a load of laughs and the stories and information about NZ history and the bars was really interesting and easy to digest. Darcy was a great guide and the fact that he is an Auckland local makes it even better. We had a great time and discovered some cool new places as well.

I went on the bar tour with Darcy and it was a great experience. His knowledge about the city and the country is incredible. We went to numerous bars and had a very funny evening. His recommendations for drinks are excellent and he is always in the mood to tell a good story about the Maori, the history of the city or famous people from New Zealand. This is a great tour! You get to hang out in some of the most historic bars in Auckland whilst enjoying great local beers (most of which have a cool story behind them as well). The tour guide, Darcy, is awesome. You can expect a wealth of historical knowledge, good stories, and lots of laughs along the way. Highly recommended for solo travelers looking to meet people or a group of friends seeking a fun evening out on the town.

We had a very good time on the Auckland Historic Bar Crawl. We met lovely people, discovered New Zealand beers and felt the history contained within the walls. I had passed by lots of interesting things and not realised it before I did this tour. I liked the stories and as well as that the drinks were fresh and tasty. This event is a good balance of chilled out moments and learning more about Auckland City. We learnt about Auckland form the very beginning when settlers arrived through until today.
