had a wonderful day. Waitomo caves are interesting, the glow worms cave structure was explained by the local guide and it's really beautiful. Te Puia was also suprising. Because of COVID restrictions, we coudn't enjoy the buffet, neither the Maori performance, but the guide gave us other tracks around Rotorua. Cheeky Kiwi is reliable and safe. Michael was our guide and was very attentive, good driver, kind, respectful, informative, and a good photographer! I really appreciated and recommend the company.

Kia ora Cristiana, we're pleased to hear your had a great trip with Michael. COVID restrictions can make things a little challenging but we're very fortunate to have partners that can deliver an incredible alternative experience when it's needed. We hope to see you onboard again soon!

This tour enabled us to see the spectacles of the glowworm caves at Waitomo and the Geysers and mud-pools at Te Puia. The minibus was on time, the driver courteous and informed, and engaged knowledgeably with questions. The lunch at Te Puia was magnificent, but I would advise future visitors to take a packed lunch instead and skip the guided tour around TePuia in favour of exploring using the free map, as all is well signed. The geysers spurt at will, not to visitor schedules, so be ready to move to good viewing positions when they start, and take time to see all of the park, including the Maori carving and weaving (which we missed as we spent too long enjoying lunch.)

I joined Jason in Auckland. We were about 8 people on the tour. Jason gave some information while driving and we first visited the glow work caves, then the Rotorua geysers, Maori art and cultural centre and lastly the Kiwi sanctuary. It was an excellent day: I highly recommend it. The places are beautiful and the information was very interesting. I would recommend this for any traveller who have an extra day open to do something.

Mani was the absolute best tour operator ever. He was funny, personable, knowledgeable, professional, and really went out of his way to accommodate us. The caves were an amazing experience as were the geysers and the Maori village. So very interesting… learned so much. It was a long day like others said, but very well worth the experience. So glad I followed the other reviews and booked this tour.

Our tour guide Mani was an excellent tour guide. He cared about the group and our experience, getting everything in. He knows so much about New Zealand, the places we went to, and the Maori people and language. The glowworm caves and geysers were so awesome. The mud pools were cool to see. We even saw a Kiwi bird. It was an awesome tour and I recommend it to anyone who is thinking about doing it.

Great trip! Michael was our driver and we have had a wonderful day. From the outset, he displayed a lot of knowledge about the region and the attractions and drove us carefully through the countryside. The geysers and the gloworm cave were amazing, an unique experience. Me and my wife are quite satisfied. Can’t recommend enough!

The online reservation I made online for this day trip was responded promptly by Michaela especially when the trip I registered for was not available on the date of my first choice. I was offered different tour of the same value in the same date, the same tour a day later or be refunded. I like the flexibility and options offered and I chose to go on the same tour on a day later

Both Michaela and Mark came to pick me up at the designated time at my hotel as communicated punctually and we went to pick a few other tourists before heading off to our first destination - waitomo caves. Both Michaela and Mark are knowledgeable about NZ and shared interesting stories and facts about NZ and the caves. So honored to be served by the owners of the business who are very passionate about their guests.

Waitomo Caves are amazing and the caves guide was informative and professional

Next I joined Tour guide/Driver Kreig for the next part of the tour to Rotorua and Kreig is such a joyful person to be with. He shared good info, is funny and has quite a few tricks to keep all the tourists in his bus entertained and warmed to each other fairly quickly, thank you Kreig !

Rotorua is a Mother Nature that will awe you!

I f you have a day to spare and do not mind spending time on long drive, these are 2 worthy destinations to go

Now my husband is a cave enthusiast! The glow worms were other worldly! Very unique experience! Mike our guide was wonderful! We had only 4 in our group and he geared everything to us personally! It was like a family outing! He took my husband and I on a private tour of the Maori carving and weaving centers! Each artist explained their work in detail! Gorgeous art work too dear for my budget! We ate lunch with the other couple and Mike! Then we toured the geyser and the Kiwi exhibit, actually saw both kiwi birds! The guide at the glow worms was also wonderful! She was a descendant of the original cave explorers! She made us feel safe and was very entertaining! The lake and the town were also very pretty and reminded me of an old time resort! Would love to stay there and go to the Polynesian spa! Very memorable day! We also a double rainbow 🌈!

Michael was an amazing host, very friendly. We were a small group! The tour began at 5:45 am and ended at 7:30 pm, so you have to be prepare to have a long day. The caves were very nice, but not extraordinary, they don’t let us take any photo or video. Te Puia was amazing and the show too but we had short time to enjoy it.

Of the aprox 12 hours of the tour, 8 are of driving. The landscapes are beautiful!

The only problem was that the wifi didn’t worked.

Thank you for your review, sorry to hear that the wifi wasn't working in your tour vehicle - we will make sure that this is rectified (if not already). It is a long day and a lot of driving, but we always aim to provide lots of entertainment and discussion tailored to each individual group, so that it's still fun, interesting and entertaining along the way. We only ever cover two major attractions in one day, unlike some other companies that cram in 3, so that we can ensure we have plenty of time to wander and explore, and the tour doesn't feel rushed. Glad to hear that you enjoyed Te Puia - it's a wonderful place to visit, and yes, we agree, you could definitely spend a whole day there if you had the time! :-) Hopefully we can host you again in future on one of our other tours from Queenstown or Auckland!
