Overview

An Auckland hop-on hop-off bus tour provides all the benefits of a guided tour—including hassle-free transport and on-board audio commentary—with the flexibility of independent travel. Tickets are valid for 24 or 48 hours, and there are two different bus routes, covering top attractions such as Mt Eden, Auckland Zoo, Sky Tower, Princes Wharf, Bastion Point, and Parnell Village.

What to Expect

Make your way to any of the bus stops (see Itinerary) to validate your 24- or 48-hour ticket, and then hop aboard one of the double-decker sightseeing buses. Your tickets offer access to both the Red Circle and Blue Circle bus routes, and buses leave every 15 to 30 minutes depending on the season.

Each circuit takes around one hour, and you can jump on and off as many times as you like. Perhaps visit the Auckland Museum, Auckland Zoo, or SEA LIFE Aquarium; admire the views from Bastion Point Lookout, Sky Tower, or Mt Eden; or take a stroll around Parnell Rose Park Gardens or the Winter Gardens.

While on the bus, plug in your headphones and listen to the on-board audio commentary, which points out the main attractions along the way and offers background history and fun facts to help you learn more about the city.

Good tour.

Perfect way to see the city and the highlights. Bus was clean frequent and good commentary. We got off at about five stops and didn't have to wait long for another bus. Not a bad price for the 24hours and would highly recommend.

Hop on hop off is always the easiest way to see a city when you only got half a day Good bus, very nice drivers, on time, not too long
