Waiheke Island has pristine forests and vineyards just a short ferry trip from the city, with a micro-climate that’s ideal for producing high-quality wines. This half-day Waiheke Island wine tour ensures you’ll experience the best of the gourmet enclave, enjoying included wine tastings at three hand-picked destinations, food pairings, and a vineyard lunch with harbor views.
What to Expect
Make your way to the Auckland Ferry Terminal, and then board the ferry for a scenic ride across Hauraki Gulf. Upon arrival at the Waiheki Island wharf, be greeted by a driver and start your wine-tasting tour by coach.

Your first stop of the day is Casita Miro, a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant with vineyard views. Kick off the day with a wine tasting and food pairing. Next, head to Batch Winery, which boasts wonderful views across the Hauraki Gulf to Auckland City. Following a wine tour and tastings, sit down and enjoy a light lunch overlooking the vines.

After lunch, sample the award-winning olive oil at Rangihoua Estate, and wrap up the day with tastings at Dellows Waiheke, sipping house-made spirits or wine. This guided tour concludes with return transfer to the ferry terminal, with the option to use a complementary bus pass to keep exploring on your own.

A great day out, despite the weather we had a blast. Good food, good company and well organised. A friendly and knowledgeable driver.

I think maybe between 2:30 & 3:00, a few people from the tour stayed on the island to do more touring etc as you had a ticket included for the hop on bus and you weren’t limited to the time you had to return by ferry. I hope... More
