      Great experience!
It was amazing! Just a bit cold, but I’m sure if you go in Summer it would be even better. Luckily they give you an option to sit inside, and give you blankets if you’re too cold!

      Fantastic experience!!
Had been so looking forward to this and was not disappointed!! We had Skipper Peter & Charlie on board Defiance and I didn't want it to end! When I asked if I could have a photo taken next to the steering wheel they said to get in behind the wheel and let me steer for a while. The ocean is my 'happy place' where all stress melts away and should I return to Auckland anytime soon, I would do this experience again as it's priced reasonably. Thanks for the great time! :-)

Experience this activity in the City of Sails!
What a surprisingly fun and beautiful experience!! We sailed with Captain Peter and his mate Joe and had a wonderful time. My husband talked me into doing this excursion since Auckland is called the City of Sails but I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. They served us sodas or juice or their New Zealand soda LNP, which is like carbonated lemonade. I recommend the LNP to experience a local soda as it was refreshing and delicious. We had a beautiful sail and all of the kids and even some of the adults were able to ‘drive’ the sailboat which was a great picture. We would definitely do this again!

Nice relaxing time on the water
Our first full day in Auckland and NZ itself so we chose to go on a sailing boat round the harbour. Nice relaxing morning sailing up past the naval area and commercial port and then down towards the Harbour Bridge, anybody who wanted a go at the wheel was able to do so which was a good photo opportunity!

So fun, we’d do it again!
This was such a fantastic experience. It was relaxing to o be on the water and enjoy the views. The captain and deck hand were professional and welcoming. Guests could take a turn at the wheel, which was cool. One of the guests had trouble finding the meeting point, delaying our departure. The captain asked if we could wait for the guest and we all agreed. I thought that was very kind and it didn’t shorten our sailing time. I would absolutely do this again.

      Dinner Cruise in Auckland
We really enjoyed the trip and it is really a unique dining experience and a must do in Auckland. I will definitely recommend this activity to my friends and family, attached some photos I took on the trip. I would like to extend my gratitude to Lara, Noel, Karen and the other lady’s name which I forgot, they were very accommodating, friendly and definitely a 5star service!

Wished I had seen the previous review for the Dolphin and Whale Cruise
If you want a trip around the Hauraki Gulf stopping at Rotoroa Island, Man of War Bay, Tititiri Matangi Island and finally Gulf Harbour, then this is for you. What we actually thought we had booked and what was advertised, was a Whale and Dolphin Wildlife Cruise. To be fair we did see a pod of dolphins between Man of War Bay and Tititiri Matangi Island and stayed there for about 30 mins but we spent the majority of the trip travelling between stops. In brief do not waste your money booking the Whale and Dolphin Wildlife Cruise, its just a ferry service. We complained to their customer service ... maybe one day they will honour us with a response.

I enjoyed the tour, it was relaxed and good for a solo traveller. I had the choice of sitting inside or outside yo eat the meal. The meal was fine but a bit basic and not very hot.

      Auckland Harbour Night Cruise
Good trip, James and his crew were friendly and helpful. The steak and dessert were delicious but the crackers on the starter were soft. A lovely relaxing trip that I would recommend if staying a short time in Auckland. On getting off the ship we gave James a tip for the great service but unfortunately nobody else did, what a shame. Thanks for a lovely evening.

      Excellent tour
It was one hell of a tour. The sailboat was very nice, the views were amazing, the skyline was great to see from the harbour and so were other landmarks including the Harbour Bridge. The tour guides were very warm, friendly, engaging and smiling all the time. The food was served nicely. They didn’t get my dessert selection right but that was fine. It was a beautiful evening with lots of nice people and the sailboat team. You get to drive the boat as well and see the hoisting of the sails which was a once in a lifetime experience.

A beautiful sunset on Auckland harbor
Auckland harbor by sailboat at sunset was stunning. Unfortunately the excursion began with a 45 minute delay of the 90 min cruise owing to catering issues . The dinner was as described but the was not hot as reported in other reviews. We enjoyed the sunset and cruising under the illuminated bridge. It was an average experience and overall it was not worth the expense.

      Worthwhile experience
Nice boat—clean and safe. Crew was friendly and knowledgeable. Appetizers were delicious but we didn’t care much for mixed drinks in a can. Dinner was good (local fish and sirloin).

Family of four on the same boat, heeled over at 45 degrees screaming across the water at 15 knots. How cool is that. The crew was superb. As others have said...this is not a harbor cruise but a first hand experience of what it is like on a true racing yacht. Bring your water, leave your bags on the shore and prepare to grind away on the wenches and hold on.

What a wonderful way to spend a morning. Julia, Luke , Jaz and Zak were wonderful knowledgeable hosts who were the icing on my birthday cake!
This is the only way to see Auckland! Aboard a yacht with an interesting racing pedigree, crewed by an experienced bunch of charming sailors, each living their dream. Love the skipper, Julia’s enthusiasm and very amusing anecdotes: yes fella’s: SHE is the skipper!!
They were very inclusive, encouraging even the ‘wobbliest’ of passengers to helm, ensuring that everyone participated in steering this beautiful craft regardless of age, fitness and experience.
Thank you for giving me the magical of mornings and insuring me to follow in my late husbands shoes and to take to the water again.

Have just done the 2 hour America’s cup sail on Auckland harbour.
It was a great experience. We have never sailed before but we still able to get involved.
The crew were all great, friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic.
It wasn’t very windy but we were still able to get up some good speed.
It’s not cheap but definitely worth it.

About a 4 to 5 hour sail on the 1997 America's Cup boat. Briefing and we are off. Crew (everyone is asked to help crew the handles) to raise the sail. Then once underway all who want get to sail the ship (under the watchful eye of our captain). Two boats, 4 crew each and 24 guests (us) on each boat. So we get to race. It was great and we were dry the whole time. The crew interacted with each guest and helped those inexperienced learn, they would point to folks to get them to come up and take the wheel. They stayed with you so you didn't got hurt and no one else did. Bring sunblock.

It was more fun than expected. I thought it might be a real tame and boring ride around the harbor but they actually got the boat up to a fairly exciting speed with it leaned right over. We were lucky to have a perfect day with a nice breeze and clear skies. I wouldn't bother if its pouring rain or dead calm day. Anyone who wanted were able to participate as crew by manning the hand cranks to hoist and lower the sails as well as driving for a bit. Tip... there is no toilet on the boat so make sure to go before boarding. The crew were fun and gave lots of interesteing info about the boat, sailing, racing etc. Well worth it!

We had a very wet Sunday November 13. However, dressed for the weather and bringing a good attitude, we sailed onward. The crew provides instruction and involves those interested the opportunity to work the sails or steer. All passengers must remain in the cockpit of the craft, as opposed to this company’s sunset cruise where persons can wonder the deck. Persons looking for an action cruise will find this enjoyable.

Spur of the moment on a glorious morning in early December and so well worth it. Fun crew. Involved and not just sitting around. Sails up and flying along dodging container ships and other cruise vessels. 2 hours went by in a flash. I guess thebexperience will depend on the weather - we had clear sky, sun, warmth and light to moderate winds, so probably pretty ideal - and it might seem a little expensive but just go for it...you will not regret it.

I'm a weekend sailor, my wife was a serious sailor. We were on the boat with people who'd never sailed to people who race as a passion.

And we all loved it!! Beautiful boat, expert and funny crew, we had a chance to work the grinders and enjoy the day.

A1 experience- totally worth the money!!

A great sail on a windy day. The crew did of sailing the boat with vigor while keeping everyone (relatively) dry. Good weather gear made the trip comfortable, even with a rain shower.

We had a nice day on the water sailing NZL 68 around the harbour. It was fun and at times exciting. The photo ops were good but a poorly reefed main made for some ugly pictures of the boat underway. Also, NZL 41 was on the water at the same time; although this was not the AC Racing Experience, whenever there are two sailboats on the water, it's a race. Seems like a lost opportunity for a little fun even if the full AC race experience was not possible. Also, the sailing was sloppy, the sails were never properly trimmed. It seemed like the point was just to get out on the water, which could have be done on any sailboat. Still, it was a nice day on the water.
