Overview
See Phillip Island’s famous penguins as well as koalas, Tasmanian devils, and kangaroos on an afternoon trip from Melbourne that includes Maru Koala and Animal Park. Traveling in a climate-controlled bus, enjoy customizable tour options that let you watch the evening Penguin Parade from different vantage points as the world’s smallest penguins return to their island burrows after a day of fishing.
What to Expect

Board a climate-controlled bus at your Melbourne hotel for the trip to Maru Koala and Animal Park, passing Westernport Bay along the way. At the award-winning animal park, see koalas and kangaroos along with a range of other native animals. See Tasmanian devils, wombats, venomous snakes, and dingoes—some of the country’s most fascinating creatures—up close.

From Maru Koala and Animal Park, continue to Philip Island, home to sea birds, fur seals, and the world’s smallest species of penguin. Explore the Nobbies rock formations to look for seals and birds. Then, as sunset approaches, wait for the native penguins in the viewing station that you’ve selected when booking. Suddenly you’ll start to see the tiny penguins emerge from the water, waddling along the beach as they make their way to snug island burrows.

Following the Penguin Parade, your tour concludes with return transportation to your Melbourne hotel.

I loved it. Worth every penny spent to get on this tour. We paid extra to upgrade to the viewing platform and it was so worth it. The high-light was of course the blue penguins. We saw so many coming out of the water and...More

Don't Expect hundreds of penguins appearing all at once

Just went to this place, we do not have a guide, just a driver who didn't inform us much. Anyway we were expecting to see 'many' penguins all at once, but was rather disappointed. As they do not appear together. Plus the beach is huge...More
