Experience Hobart from the water on a 3-hour sailing tour by ocean-racing yacht. As you glide along the River Derwent, admire the city’s coastal scenery, look for wildlife and help the crew with tasks like trimming the sails or grinding the winch. Or, simply relax and enjoy the fresh air. Gourmet snacks will be served while you listen to tales about sailing on the high seas.
What to Expect
Your Hobart sailing tour starts as you hop aboard your sleek racing yacht and set off along the River Derwent. While you witness what it takes to operate an ocean yacht like this, you can help the crew trim the sails and grind the winches, if you wish. Or just relax and admire the passing scenery, from the Hobart cityscape to views of Mt Wellington.

Head toward the Iron Pot lighthouse, and watch for wildlife like seals and dolphins. Then enjoy stories from your skipper about previous sailing adventures over morning or afternoon tea featuring gourmet Tasmanian items. Your tour ends when you return to the departure point.

When booking, select either the morning tour, which operates from October to March, or the afternoon tour from April to September.

Fantastic tailored experience

Had a wonderful trip with mark and Crew. They accommodated my 10th old baby with life jackets and lots of cuddles. Nice sail and much needed stop for a long swim on an unusual 37 deg hobart day! Highly recommended
