About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- margarett8170 contributionsLeisurely day out in the BarossaI chose this tour because it had a bit of variety and was not all about wine tasting and it did not disappoint. Coffee and brownie at Pindarie Winery was a nice inclusion and the town of Tanunda had some nice old buildings. The included lunch at Lambert Winery was both delicious and plentiful. Our tour guide Mike made the day enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this tour for anybody wanting to experience the Barossa.Written 11 January 2025

- colinv3420 contributionsOver all I would say we paid for a 4 star trip and got a 1 star trip.Hi Tripadvisor, I was not happy about the change of venue I was given at the last minuet. I booked one trip and got nothing I booked for, i paid $191 per person and the Murray Bridge trip was $189. First i was ambushed at the bus station saying we were not going on to the Mannum trip. Second I paid more money for the the trip I was taken on. Other people on the trip were not happy as well. Third our trip to Handoff did not happen, most disappointing. Fourth Our trip into Woodside was so rushed we only got a few minuets at the chocolate factory. Fifth the bus driver was scaring everyone with his diving on the windy roads through the hills. He was asked to slow down and he ignored the passengers.Written 30 December 2024
- nareshkumar19870 contributionsSolo day tourHad a great day visiting different vineyards and wineries. Love trying different kinds of wines. Roger was very helpful and excellent in driving and gave us some info about wine history and vineyards as well.Written 23 December 2024
- Jo K0 contributionsFun day exploring McLaren ValeWe had a great day on our tour with Chris - he made sure everyone had fun! The selection of wineries was excellent, and lunch at Chalk Hill was delicious. Highly recommend this tour.Written 9 December 2024
- Hendrik H0 contributionsExpensive and poor qualityWe enjoyed it but it is high on price and low on quality. A 7 day trip up and down the river exploring and watching the vista pass by was very relaxing. The on shore excursions to the Barossa Valley ,entailed long time spent on a coach and a short time at the wineries ,which ,although they ( the booking agents ) said there where tastings of the product ,it was meagre at best ,but sell ,sell sell . The food on board was one level above average ,with the staff walking around serving with one hand behind their back was beyond ridiculous. The meals took a long time to come out and when they did they were cold . A woman bar attendant ,was rude and hostile ,loading our bar tab the bottles of wine we never ordered ,lucky we checked. Over all ,the experience was great ,not so the bank accounts, value for money was certainly not there .Written 6 November 2024
- veronicakO4314PI0 contributionsAdelaide City Highlights TourPhil was our guide on this tour. While I enjoyed the majority of the highlights of Adelaide City shown to us I would have preferred not to have gone to the Wine place. Not everyone goes to visit Adelaide to 'çheck out'' the wine. I would have preferred to have seen other areas of Adelaide.Written 15 October 2024
- 39simonw0 contributionsGreat day out experiencing BarossaWe had a fantastic day out in the Barossa wine region - out tour guide and driver, Chris, was incredibly knowledgable about the history of the region, its wines and how they are made. The wineries we visited were all different and showed the diversity of the wine region. We had a fantastic lunch too. Thoroughly recommendedWritten 9 October 2024
- rebeccatP7596FN0 contributions100% recommend, great day trip!Fantastic trip! Phil our tour guide was amazing and so informative. We went to 3 different vineyards and some view points. The whole trip was great, highly recommend!Written 5 October 2024
- Chris B0 contributionsA must do in AdelaideWe had a fantastic day with Chris yesterday. We did a morning tour of the city sights with expert commentary including a stop at the wine museum. In the afternoon we went to the hills and Hahndorf. We also stopped off at mt lofty. Chris showed us the landscape and explained what a dodge tide is. He also used a map to shown the walking team from kangaroo island to the flinders ranges. The afternoon tea and stop at beerenberg and Hahndorf was nice. It was clear Chris enjoyed showing people Adelaide. He also cared for those who needed assistance.Written 24 September 2024
- L140FBdebs0 contributionsMurray River Day Trip!It was a fun and relaxed day, with a really nice lunch cruise, a chance to wander around Mannum, and to see a couple of local family businesses (chocolate & cheese)! Chris was a great guide, full of information, friendly, caring & engaging. Would definitely itely do another tour with group!Written 22 September 2024
- Tracie L0 contributionsAdelaide Highlights &Hahndorf TourOur tour guide Mike was fantastic, the commentary around Adelaide was very informative. The little town of Hahndorf was quaint and looked like you were in Germany, afternoon tea at a German Pub suited many people, even with a beer sample paddle if you wanted something different. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone.Written 13 September 2024
- geofw0 contributionsAn older couples adventures in AdelaideChris our driver provided a very good commentary and was easy to interact with. He pointed out things only some locals would know about and had a good sense of humour. We loved the cruise and contrary to some experiences the food was first class. Yes it was chicken. If you don’t like chicken then you will miss a great day out.Written 2 September 2024

Would have been wonderful if the weather hadn’t let us down. Yesterday was 40 degrees and sunny, today was 18 degrees and raining (which was great for the fires) Sadly we didn’t get any views from the mountains. But, Hahndorf was a very pretty little town. The beer tasting at The Hahndorf Inn was fun, plus we had some yummy chips and delicious apple strudel. Coach driver was really good too.

We were advised to call the tour company beforehand to give our pick up details. I was told that we would be picked up outside our hotel at 12:59 (so precise!).
At 1:10 I received an irate call from the bus driver saying that we were supposed to be at the Train Station pickup point. Despite my telling him that I had confirmed with their office (can't remember the ladies name), he insisted that I was wrong and rudely advised that no, you were supposed to be at the train station.
After eventually being picked up, I honestly expected some sort of apology for the mix up, however he continued to have what I considered to be a rude and disrespectful attitude, leaving my friend and I to board the bus with other passengers thinking we were the cause of the delay.
We ended up having a relatively pleasant trip, however I can't deny that this encounter upset me and spoiled it somewhat.
My other issue was that with the wait was so long for our beer tasting at a Harndorf, it left little time for us to actually explore the village which made us feel rushed.

Wonderful half day trip last Friday (18/6) with beautiful scenery on a winter's day. Driver/guide Michael was very knowledgeable & provided plenty of entertainment 😅 not to mention great value too (beer tasting or coffee & cake included). He dropped everyone off at their hotel & us too (at nearby restaurant we were to be dining at in the evening).
Thoroughly recommend & also very reputable company. I am already checking out their other tours!

The commentary from our tour guide was brilliant! So many interesting facts and great stories with some good humor thrown in. The coach was comfortable and we felt very safe in the hands of our experienced driver. We had a great time in Hahndorf and enjoyed the afternoon tea and beer-tasting experience.

First time to Adelaide and thought I’d go see the Adelaide Hills and Hahndorf so this seemed the perfect choice.
Bus was prompt and driver very knowledgeable.
Afternoon tea was included in price.
Left Adelaide at 1pm.
20 minutes at Mt Lofty
20 minutes at Beerenberg factory (Jams/preserves)
Arrived at Hahndorf about 2:30 and proceeded to the Afternoon tea.
After waiting an hour for a cup of tea and a piece of strudel, I was left with 1/2 hour to explore the town before having to return to bus by 4:10pm.
Back in Adelaide by 4:40pm.
No faults with driver but $95 for what was effectively less than 1.5 hour tour.

The tour is too expensive for what you get. Nice commentary on the coach and we chose the tea and cake for our refreshment in Hahndorf which was very nice.
Free time in Hanhdorf is ok if you like very touristy souvenir and gift shops but if not like us it was complete waste of time. Would have liked to know more about the history of the buildings and village in general.

We wished we had hired a car and driven ourselves. We were astonished and dismayed that the tour guide/driver made no acknowledgement of the first nation people at any time during the tour. To listen to the commentary, the " history " of Adelaide started with the arrival of European and English explorers. Be aware also that you do not need to be on time for your tour as they ask, they will keep those passengers who arrive on time ( like us ), waiting for more than 15 minutes.

Tour was great, enough time for the mount lofty summit and Beerenberg farm, the only downside is we would’ve really loved more time in Hahndorf, another 20 minutes essential, another hour would’ve been great. I believe public transport does run from Adelaide to Hahndorf so that might’ve been the way to go. The tour guides make the trip enjoyable and the Adelaide Hills are beautiful, particularly liked Stirling.

We enjoyed our visit just a shame it drizzled the full time we were there . I had some home made liquorice ice cream yum always on the look out as my favourite . Loved the gift shop with all the cuckoo clocks then we had warm wine sitting beside a log fire . What else could you ask for on a drizzly day .

Hi Sandy, we're so glad to hear you enjoyed your day on tour, despite the raining weather. Sipping wine by a warm log fire sounds amazing for this cooler weather.
We look forward to welcoming you back on tour with us one day.

Is there a gluten free option for the afternoon tea?
Written 26 February 2020
I believe there was yes
I can’t remember what it was though
I had the beer selection and not the afternoon tea but I think there was one lady who asked for a gluten free option - I seem to remember that of the 6 or 7 choices of cake only one was gluten free though
Can’t remember exactly
