We did the dinner cruise with the family. We didn’t get a vey good sunset but that didn’t detract from the experience at all. The food was good, definitely the cheapest drinks on the island but the thing that stood out most was the service. We have eaten at most of the best family friendly restaurants on the island and the service on the cruise beat them hands down. Hard working, attentive and friendly. Highly recommended.

I did the Sail & Snorkel - Whitehaven & Chalkies Beach tour. The tour was amazing! We spent a couple of hours at Whitehaven beach which was absolutely stunning! In the afternoon we snorkeled in the GBR. JJ and the other crew members were very friendly and helpful! They explained well how to snorkel and all safety measures. They provided morning and afternoon tea and a very tasty lunch. Since the group was small we all had enough space to relax on the catamaran and enjoy the views. I highly recommend this tour! My daughter, 2 granddaughters (teens) and myself did a all day snorkelling tour with this company. The trip was excellent except for one thing. My daughter is a coeliac and also allergic to dairy. The company was advised of this when booking, plus 2 days prior to departure. Morning tea was fine. A dairy free and gluten free cake was provided. Lunch was a disaster, my daughter was expected to eat from the smorgasbord that was provided for everyone else. The food was contaminated by the first passenger who dropped bread crumbs all over the salades etc. So my daughter had no lunch. My daughter was suffering from hypoglycaemia after doing 2 snorkelling sessions on the reef. We didn't arrive back in Airlie Beach to after 6 pm, and my daughter was quite unwell. Her blood sugar levels were in her boots So just be aware that if you book with this company, and you have specific dietary needs. TAKE YOUR OWN. And yes, I have emailed and written to this company and they didn't even bother to respond. Not good enough Explore Group!

Dylan, Gus and Gus were amazing! They made our scuba certification a delight! We had so much fun with them and felt safe and well cared for throughout the entire experience. This is a highly competent group and you will be in good hands if you choose them for your scuba certification.

We had an amazing experience on Explore’s Half Day Hill Inlet at Whitehaven Beach! Huge thanks to Maddy, Tamara, Matt, and the entire crew for making the trip unforgettable. They were friendly, professional, and provided great insights about the area. The views were breathtaking, and the service was top-notch. Highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting the Whitsundays!

I did the full day snorkel trip to Bait reef in Sept 2024, leaving from Hamilton Island, and I'm very glad that I did. The reef is well worth a visit with plenty of healthy coral and marine life. The crew were friendly and helpful and there is lots of lunch provided. Recommended.

We did the full day reef tour ( 8am - 4.30pm ) at the very end of August 2024. We were very lucky and had a small group of 29ppl, but the boat can take 90+ Tommy, Claudia, Macca and the rest of the crew were amazing, very attentive, nothing was too much trouble, infact they went above and beyond for us guests. We had a perfect day, no wind, ocean was calm and the water clarity was amazing. We saw Whales,Dolphins, Turtles, and the two reefs we visited were so incredible beautiful, colourful, and teaming with fish of every colour, size and variety. The corals were just indescribable. It was the most amazing experience. Food on the boat was fresh and abundant. Snorkelling equipment clean, well maintained, easy access in/out of the water via a staircase that lowers into the water. Magical experience. And a credit to the skipper, on the way back in, they even stopped this big boat to spin around and pick up someone else's rubbish they saw floating on the ocean, and then apologised for the tiny unscheduled stop. I couldnt recommend this trip or the crew enough. Just WOW

My husband and I did the Chalkies and Whitehaven Sail and Snorkel this time last year. We've been to HI several times and this is the day trip we've enjoyed the most --which is why we did it again this year! Just as good the second time around - actually a bit more special because we saw a manta ray when we were snorkelling at Chalkies Beach this time. The crew were lovely; and morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea are provided. Champers available on the way home! A fabulous day all 'round. My idea of a perfect day.

We did the sunset dinner cruise followed by the half day cruise to Whitehaven beach the next morning. Both trips were very good and the crew very organised and friendly

Went on the half day hill inlet/ whitehaven beach tour - hate being negative about it because the beach and scenery is second to none so so beautiful but the value for money for the half day tour with the hill inlet walk was quite poor unfortunately! Had about 10 minutes on the beach in total just felt very time pressured and very commercial. That said the beach and scenery is so beautiful - speaks for itself. I would recommend simply looking elsewhere for your transport out there if possible.

I came very close to drowning after being ignored by crew but was saved by family members!!! Archie however was excellent

We had 6 people including 4 teenagers and did the day trip to the Great Barrier Reef snorkelling. . It was a bit cloudy and a cool wind. Despite this, it was a fantastic day. The boat wasn’t full - about 60 people on board and plenty of room for everyone. They supplied wetsuits thankfully. We snorkelled at 2 reefs, saw loads of fish, coral and a turtle. The bonus was seeing whales on the way out and back. We had taken jumpers but did get a bit cold. I’d recommend taking track pants too on cooler days. The staff were very helpful and there was plenty of food. We all thought it was really worthwhile and a fantastic day out.

I booked a scuba excursion online as the highlight of my trip to Hamilton island, maybe what I looked forward to most in my whole Australian holiday. I didn't receive any confirmation so had no arrangements for times or pick-up. I emailed several times and got no reply - only when I called into their office in person, did one of the staff explain their manager said I wasn't eligible for a refund. So I not only lost an experience I will never be able to repeat (diving on the Great Barrier Reef) but I have additionally lost several hundred pounds for the non-event! They had my email but also my phone number. I thought I'd just been ripped off (which I have) but there they are, a real excursion company who don't care if you get an excursion or not!

We had a great time despite very ordinary weather! The crew were so positive and great to have a chat with! Once we got on the boat the crew welcomed us and made us feel safe and comfortable. The trip was relaxing with no stress. Food was great and the time at each location was also great! Thanks Crew for a great day (pictured so recognition can be granted to the amazing staff)!

What a fabulous tour group. Whether it was the sunset sail or Chalkies and Whitehaven sail & snorkel we were greeted with fabulous staff who were engaging and keen to talk and share in the fun. We would do both of these again. Darren & Liz
