Dennis was clear and patient, making the 2 hr beginner surf experience less daunting.
There was more than enough time for all of us to practise safe surfing. Highly recommend this experience to all who love to give surfing a first try!

Thank you so much to Will for an amazing surfing lesson - for two hours we couldn’t stop laughing at ourselves. Will explained everything thoroughly and was an awesome (and patient) instructor. Highly recommend Go Ride A Wave if you want to learn to surf.

My daughter wanted to do a family surf lesson during our visit to Australia. I was a little hesitant to do surfing since I have two fake hips. Our instructor was very helpful and patient with all of us. We felt very safe! My children are ages 11 and 15 and my husband and I , ages 51, were all able learn! This was all our first time

I did 3 lessons at Kirra this January and couldn’t recommend it more. Specifically my instructor Zander was amazing!! Had me standing up within my first lesson and catching waves confidently by myself by the third I couldn’t give him a better review. Would recommend for people of all ages- I’m 20, definitely really helped me get the hang of it would 100% go back!

My 11 year old is a strong swimmer and was keen to give surfing a try for the first time so we booked her a lesson. The only child in the group lesson, we couldn’t have been more pleased with her experience. The instructors - Brayden, Nikki and Colby - were fabulous. They gave a clear safety briefing and divided their time well with the class participants in the water. My daughter got plenty of attention and was standing up by the end of the lesson which she was absolutely thrilled about. She’s busting to have another go to practice what she learnt. Excellent value - highly recommended.

My teen went to a class of all beginners on the Gold Coast. Well set up and run. Everyone in the class was riding waves quickly, almost half the class were standing after 2 hours. The instructors Jace and Xander were very professional and friendly.

Great time. They were very knowledgeable and made things fun. I had a bit of an accident (not surfing related) and Brayden was outstanding He was so calm and helpful Bora also takes terrific photos

Learn to Surf in Coolangatta with Johny
During two days of two hours each we learned our first surfing skills with Johny. Johny received us very friendly, offered a comprehensive and easy to understand introduction with practical demonstrations and the possibility to do dry runs. The first surfing experience in the water Johny accompanied with his great experience actively and with good tips. Johny actively helped to achieve the first successes by being in the water with the students, offering start-up help and always giving tips for improvement. Thanks to his active support of the students, we were all able to achieve our first surfing successes. We thank Johny for his great support. It was a lot of fun and we will be back again.

It was pouring rain during our lesson, but all of our guides were upbeat and made sure everyone knew they were safe and having a good time. It was a big group so we got split up. Our instructor Jason was awesome! He explained everything very well and made it easy to understand. Definitely recommended!

My eight-year-old son loved studying here. We upgraded to a three-day program after he fell in love with the coaching and learning environment in just one class. The coaches were patient and attentive, especially Theo, who helped my son tremendously. We had a perfect experience and plan to visit again when we're back in the Gold Coast.

Unfortunately I’m unable to answer this factual, you would have to contact the surf school directly. However, I did see lots of kids surf schools taking place so I’m pretty sure they cater for all ages and abilities. Enjoy
