Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and talkative. Due to it being a smaller tour (only 7 people) it was very personalised and we all had a nice time talking to him.

It was a very pleasant afternoon cruise up the trinity inlet. Our guide was so friendly and had lots of tales to tell about the ships and waterways . I would definitely recommend for a relaxing hour and a half

A lovely, restful and interesting getaway, up the quiet mangrove-lined creeks a few minutes out of the Cairns marina. Our guide was an engaging local who knew the history of the area, what birds and animals we might see and who lived on what houseboat. Good value.

Put this on your “must do” list for Cairns. Joe, our captain and tour guide, kept us entertained as we cruised around Trinity Inlet. Full of interesting and relevant facts, he was the icing on the cake for this fabulous cruise.

Good boat trip for those who can’t do more than 90 mins due to time constraints- entertained by Darwin boy now working in Cairns- who knows about the tropics and crocs- mangroves are thick and didn’t realise the inlets were full of decrepit boats-

It was a great boat ride with Joe who was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the area. It was a fantastic experience. The staff there, Liz and Jordan were very helpful and nice.

Fantastic little tour and hospitality. Our guide had so much information/history about the transformation of the marina and shipping/export activities from Cairns. He was also extremely well informed about the mangroves and what they do for the area. Even spotted a crocodile. Definitely worth doing.

Jacob went above and beyond to provide a fascinating tour full of history, information about the area, the businesses on the inlet, the boats moored in the inlet, the mangroves, flora and fauna, weather, and recent cyclonic activities. We were lucky enough to experience a monsoonal downpour during which I captured some amazing images. Jacob was a font of information and must have talked almost non-stop for the entire trip whilst expertly navigating the waterway.

A great cruise to see “the other waterways” of Cairns. Most would be on a boat for a day trip to one of islands and or reef but this was a great but short cruise. It’s not fancy, it’s small and cosy, but Jacob, the guide, was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable, personable and quite amusing. He was also very mindful of everyone’s safety. Bonus, it was happy hour, so a drink if you wanted! I was walking along the marina and saw the boat, went online and booked a tour for the afternoon. It was also very interesting to hear how they managed to relocate all the boats just before the cyclone.

We booked the sunset cruise and were lucky there was a sunset tonight. The boat seats 12 maximum and has cover from the sun. They offered us drinks before departing and the we headed out. We were only 6 and as we all arrived early, we left right away. Jacob was our guide and gave us a nice tour of the surroundings and the boats parked throughout the marina. It was a lovely trip.

We did this at the last minute and really enjoyed it! It’s a relaxing cruise around the inlet - unfortunately not any wildlife to be seen this day - but still a very interesting cruise around the mangroves. Lovely captain and a soft drink to enjoy whilst you meander.

We really enjoyed our cruise. Jacob provided an informative and entertaining narrative and we saw and experienced an area of Cairns we didn’t know existed. The evening was balmy and the sunset on the return journey produced lovely lighting effects.
