The Great Barrier Reef is one of the best places on earth for snorkeling and scuba diving. This tour offers options for all ages and abilities, making it ideal for groups or families who don’t want to all do the same thing. Cruise out to the Outer Reefs, where you can choose to snorkel, take an introductory scuba dive, or enjoy up to three certified dives.
What to Expect
Make your way to the marina in Cairns to meet your guide and board the high-speed custom-built boat. Admire the views from deck and enjoy morning tea as you sail across the Coral Sea to explore the more remote Outer Reefs.

During the tour, visit three different dive sites, where you can swim and snorkel amid the vibrant coral gardens, try an introductory scuba dive accompanied by an expert instructor, or explore some of the deeper dive spots (certified divers only), depending on the tour option selected.

Along the way, look out for tropical fish, marine life, and colorful coral formations, and learn more about the Great Barrier Reef, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its unique ecosystems from the crew. In between, relax on deck and take in the scenery as you tuck into a delicious buffet lunch.

Afternoon tea is also served on board as you sail back to Cairns.

Professional, good day out, limited time.

This review is based more so on the experience with the company rather than the reef itself - which is cool but not the colourful and wildlife packed ecosystem portrayed by all the marketing!¹ Throughout the trip I thought the crew were professional, friendly and...More

We just got off the boat for a scuba day trip. We're recently certified divers so very little experience. The dive masters were great, and very knowledgeable. It was super choppy but they made the ride as comfortable as possible. We'd highly recommend Tusa!

I loved my day exploring the Great Barrier Reef with Tusa! We went to two beautiful sites and had plenty of time to explore. I did two dives (morning and afternoon) and snorkelled in between, getting to swim with a beautiful sea turtle. Lunch was...More

Professional operators - would recommend

Had a great experience with TUSA. Their staff were professional and informative. The sites we snorkel/ dived at were all really good and not crowded with only one other boat nearby.

They told us they have about 15 different sites which they rotate around, as well as taking account of the weather - and go to 2 sites on one day. We went on 2 consecutive days, so spoke to the captain who made sure the boat... More
