Overview
Learn about the rich traditions of the local Tjapukai people during an evening of culture and cuisine at Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park. Indigenous performers share stories of the rain forest through music, dance, and chanting, followed by an international buffet dinner. Two upgrade options include a drink and predinner lakeside ceremony, plus pickup and drop-off at your hotel in Cairns or Cairns’ northern beaches.
What to Expect

Your evening begins with pickup from your hotel in Cairns or Cairns’ northern beaches, from where you transfer to Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park.

Upon arrival, your hosts provide a glass of sparkling wine (if option selected) before the musical didgeridoo calls you to the rain forest theater where the Tjapukai people tell their dreamtime story. If you take part in the lakeside ceremony before dinner, join an Aboriginal chanting, dance, and music experience that ends with a fire-making ceremony and a canoe escort to the dining area.

Enjoy an international buffet dinner with a variety of appetizers, some made with native ingredients, and hot and cold dishes served with dessert, coffee, and tea.

After dinner, the performers invite you to the campfire for photos and conversation before your evening ends with transportation back to your hotel (if option selected). If time allows, you can visit the Tjapukai Fine Art Gallery before your departure.
