Overview
Get the best possible views of Tropical North Queensland on this sunrise hot-air balloon ride. You’ll want to book this popular activity ahead of time to plan your trip. Get frame-worthy photos of Atherton Tablelands as the dawn breaks, and hear commentary from your guide along the way. You can roll right out of bed and enjoy convenient pickup at your hotel in Cairns, Palm Cove, or Northern Beaches.
What to Expect
When booking, select from a 30- or 60-minute flight to fit your schedule. Arise early for convenient pickup at your Cairns, Palm Cove, or Northern Beaches hotel. Convenient hotel pickup means you only have to be semi-awake for the pre-dawn ride to the launch site, where you'll climb into the balloon's sturdy basket and take off.

Take in spectacular views of the Atherton Tablelands' rolling hills, rivers, and farmlands as dawn breaks. Snap photos and listen to engaging commentary on the area from your pilot, who will point out all the local highlights.

Land gently just after dawn and help the pilot deflate, roll, and repack the huge balloon for an unusual experience to finish your tour. End with drop-off back at your hotel in time for breakfast.

Gotta Do It!

Worth the cost. The experience was fantastic, we didn’t know what to expect and my wife was quite nervous at the thought of the flight. We both thought it was fantastic, the pilot was so reassuring and it was such a gentle and tranquil experience....More

As far as I remember snorkeling and hot air balloon has to have a 12 or 24 hour gap as both have opposite effect on body. I would suggest hot air ballon to be done early morning as it gets hot later. I took a 6am flight. It... More
