Boggo Road Gaol Ghost and Gallows Tour
From US$32.20
Overview
Take a 2-hour night tour of the Boggo Road Gaol to hear ghost stories shared by both inmates and guards during the prison's long history. Your guide brings to light tales of tough conditions, escapes, and executions in one of Australia's most notorious 20th-century prisons as you walk through the gatehouse, cellblocks, and yards—and experience the haunting prison by flashlight.
What to Expect
Make your own way to the front gates of Boggo Road Gaol, where you meet your guide. You are provided with a flashlight before the tour starts, and you use the light as you step inside the gatehouse.
Follow your guide through the infamous prison’s back track, circle, and cellblocks, and hear ghost stories that have been passed on by inmates and guards alike through the years. The leisurely walk takes about two hours, with frequent stops for photo ops and eerie stories. At times, your guide asks you to turn off your flashlight during the stories in order to experience the haunting atmosphere within the walls more fully.
Your night tour ends at the Gaol Shop where you are given a complimentary book, The Ghosts of Boggo Road Gaol, and have time to browse the souvenirs.

Interesting and fun tour

My family, including two teenage boys, thoroughly enjoyed this unique tour of Boggo Road Gaol. The guide was a terrific story teller and had a powerful voice which we could hear clearly. We will definitely be doing more tours with this company.

Kids on ghost tours?

We were quite dissapointed. They should not allow kids under 15 as someone had their kid there and he was very disruptive which ruined it for us. The groups were too big which ruined the atmosphere and the tour guide was not very interesting. We...More
