Overview
Discover the highlights of the Top End on this 5-hour tour that goes deep into the Northern Territory by floatplane and boat. Your Australian outback experience begins with the floatplane journey to Sweets Lagoon in the Finniss River floodplains. After a water landing, enjoy a barbecue lunch and then take an airboat cruise into the rain forest to look for native wildlife like crocodiles before returning to Darwin by air.
What to Expect

Choose from three Top End tour departure times, all of which begin with pickup from centrally located hotels in Darwin.

After taking off in your floatplane, soak up the bird’s-eye views as you fly southwest over Bynoe Harbour to the remote Finniss River floodplains. After a gentle water landing on Sweets Lagoon—a memorable experience in and of itself—take a leisurely cruise by custom-built airboat into the monsoonal rain forest. Keep your eyes peeled for saltwater crocodiles, wild boar, buffalo, and a variety of birds. You can even go fishing for barramundi or take a dip in one of the only crocodile-safe pools in Australia. Throughout the tour, hear about the region's wildlife and history from your guide, even during your return by plane to Darwin.

This action-packed tour offers a comprehensive experience of a Northern Territory wilderness that is inaccessible by road.
