Overview
Cover much more terrain than you would on foot during this Segway tour of Uluru. After detailed instruction from your guide, feel safe and comfortable navigating the two-wheeled, self-balancing, electric scooter around the base of the monolith while listening to the area's ancient aboriginal history. Round-trip transportation from Ayers Rock Resort means you can focus on the sights, not on directions.
What to Expect
Begin your day at Uluru with convenient pickup at your Ayers Rock Resort hotel. Relax and enjoy the outback scenery on the journey to the Segway base, where you'll learn how to operate the scooter. Listen to a safety briefing, take a few practice loops, and head for Uluru.

Riding a Segway allows you to cover a lot more ground than you would on foot. Head to the famous Mutitjulu Waterhole first, then complete the 6.2-mile (10-kilometer) loop around the enormous monolith. Along the way, listen to in-depth commentary from your guide about the ancient history of the Anangu aboriginal people, their reverence for the site, and the local flora and fauna.

On the way back to the resort, relax and ask any questions you may have.

So much fun!

Must do for families with kids. We had a blast with our tour guide Scott. Unfortunately there was a small grass fire that prevented our group visiting one area of the rock via Segway. Scott was so accommodating (we went well over time) taking us...More
