Uluru and Kata Tjuta Experience with BBQ Dinner
From US$159.95
Overview
See both Uluru and Kata Tjuta in one day on this tour from Alice Springs. You’ll hear in-depth guide commentary about the history and culture of the country's most famous rock formations. Get in touch with nature during a Mala Walk and hikes to the Mutitjulu Waterhole and the Walpa Gorge, accompanied by a visit to the Aboriginal Cultural Centre. Included lunch and BBQ dinner makes for a hassle-free day.
What to Expect
Meet your guide and group at a hotel within the Ayers Rock Resort midday, then board an air-conditioned coach and head for UNESCO-listed Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.

On the way, dig in to a packed lunch on the way and enjoy the scenery. Once you arrive, head out for the day’s first hike through Walpa Gorge, which offers great views of Kata Tjuta, and hear guide commentary on the region’s history and geology. Then, visit the Aboriginal Cultural Centre to learn about the Pitjantjatjara people.

Next up is Uluru, the famous red-dirt monolith. Take the Mala Walk around the northwest side of the rock, passing some Anangu rock art, and then continue on to the Mutitjulu Waterhole.

Finish the day sipping a glass of sparkling wine as the sun sets over Uluru, then dig in to a traditional Australian barbecue before heading back to your hotel for drop-off.

We joined Emu Run tours for what was described as a sunset BBQ viewing of Uluru. We were picked up from our hotel by another company & driven out to the viewing area where we joined the Emu Run group for the dinner. We added...More
