Uluru and Kata Tjuta Experience with BBQ Dinner
From US$167.48
Take your time experiencing Uluru and Kata Tjuta on this full-day tour from Alice Springs. With a guide in the lead, you'll have in-depth commentary on the history and culture of the country's most famous rock formations as you travel. Get in touch with nature during a Mala Walk and hikes to the Mutitjulu Waterhole and the Walpa Gorge, accompanied by a visit to the Aboriginal Cultural Centre and an Aussie barbecue lunch.
What to Expect

Meet your guide and group at a hotel within the Ayers Rock Resort midday, then settle in to your seat aboard an air-conditioned coach and head for the outback. Conquering both of these top Australian landmarks in a single day is a big task, but with all transportation and details arranged ahead of time, this tour makes it stress-free.

As the coach travels into the UNESCO-listed Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, dig in to a packed lunch on the way and take in the scenery. Once you arrive inside the park, disembark and head out for the day’s first trek through Walpa Gorge, which gives great views of Kata Tjuta. Along the way, listen to your guide’s commentary on the region’s history and geology, then visit the Aboriginal Cultural Centre to dive into the history of the Pitjantjatjara people.

Next up is Uluru, the famous red dirt monolith, where you’ll embark on two walks around the base. The Mala Walk around the northwest side of the rock, passing some Anangu rock art, and then on to the Mutitjulu Waterhole.

Finish the day sipping a glass of sparkling wine as the sun sets over Uluru, then dig in to a traditional Australian barbecue before heading back to your hotel for drop-off.

Would recommend this Tour to anyone

Fantastic Tour, I had the pleasure of the Tour Guides Daz and Gavin - Top blokes with a few crappy jokes along the way. The 30 minute buffet breakfast at Erldunda was better than expected, along the way to Uluru there's plenty of Toilet breaks...More

Long and fruitful day out with Tony and Eric. The group was a bit quiet but the two of them continuously shared information and kept the bus lively with their jokes. You will not go hungry on this tour as there are always snacks/fruits throughout...More
