Overview
Explore the Outback, Uluru, Kings Canyon, and Kata Tjuta on this comprehensive camping tour. Leave the logistics and details to your guide, while you enjoy the experience and the scenery. Take guided walks, see the famous rock formations at sunrise and sunset, and visit the Oak Valley aboriginal community. Sleeping accommodations in private bush camps and campfire meals are included for a seamless experience.
Highlights
  • Sleep under the stars during overnights in comfortable private bush camps
  • Dinners around the campfire accompanied by traditional storytelling
  • All details and logistics taken care of
  • Pickup and drop-off in Alice Springs
What to Expect
Meet up with your group of just 16 people and guide in Alice Springs. Then clamber into a rugged 4WD vehicle and take off for a 5-day adventure through the Outback. You can focus on the experience of the Red Centre, the views, and the history, as all details are taken care of. Exploring this barren landscape can be daunting for independent travelers, so booking a tour is a great option. As you make your way through the West MacDonnell Ranges, Watarrka National Park, Uluru, and Kata Tjuta, learn about each location's rich history and the heritage of the Aboriginal people who originally settled the continent. The tour includes three nights of camping in permanent tents with beds and one night in a waterproof camp bed at a private bush camp, as well as dinners cooked over the campfire.

This 5 day adventure takes you to all the great attractions in the red centre and more. Our guide/driver (Phill) has a real affinity with the region and went out of his way to ensure everyone enjoyed the experience of the trip. from visiting Uluru & Kata Tjuta, conquering the

Absolute bang for your buck! This 5 day package is great value. I still can’t comprehend how many wonderful sites we made it to in 5 days. The tour guide “Duffman” was culturally knowledgeable and respectful, and also great fun to travel with. Our planned tour needed to change

Maybe as a kid you remember a holiday with a large family with a cranky overwrought dad complaining about having to put up with you lot, being overworked, wrung out and underappreciated - rolling his eyes at every genuine request. Maybe, also like our tour guide, he talked a

Thank you for sharing your review, as outback camping adventures we are not striving for a glamping style experience however you have still highlighted some areas of concern that appear to fall below the quality we would expect. Certainly our guides should not fit the description you have shared and I welcome you to contact me at feedback@wayoutback.com.au if you would like me to follow this up further. This aside I am glad that you enjoyed the areas that you visited and that you connected well with you group, sharing your experience with the right people can really make a tour memorable. Thank you again for your review and I hope you are enjoying the rest of your travels

This review captures exactly the experience we aim to create for our guests! The Kangaroo Dreaming Safari is by far my favourite tour and is such a fantastic way to really experience Central Australia. It's great to hear that you were so well looked after by Phil, he does a great job of catering to our groups and he will appreciate your feedback. I definitely agree with you about the stars, it cannot really be described but a night under the outback sky is something you will never forget. Thank you again for your fantastic review, your recommendation is very much appreciated.
