What to Expect
Depart Alice Springs early on the first day and relax on the ride knowing that all of your Outback camping details have been taken care of for you. Stop at the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park Cultural Centre for a camel ride and then refuel with lunch before exploring the local aboriginal culture of the Red Centre. Take a walk around the famous Uluru monolith before catching the sunset with a glass of bubbly. Spend the night under the stars in a comfortable sleeping setup. Day Two begins with sunrise over Uluru, learning about its history and aboriginal sacred meaning through your guide's commentary. Hike through the Valley of the Winds to the domes of Kata Tjuta. In the afternoon, take a guided walk around the entire base of Uluru before making camp at Kings Creek Station and enjoying a barbecue dinner by the campfire. The trip's last day begins with a hearty breakfast to fuel up for a hike around Kings Canyon, followed by lunch and a relaxing journey back to Alice Springs.
