About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- wattsup700 contributionsPerfect paceWe did the 2 1/2 hour bike tour with Riley. It was the perfect length and pace. We covered about 6 miles of the city and learned a lot. We had to ride on the left side!!! And sometimes through a lot of pedestrian traffic but Riley got us through no problem. Also loved her recommendations.Written 28 January 2024
- Departure270120189590 contributionsGreat bike hire businessHired two bikes, friendly welcome and advice from Matt, bikes in good condition, great service, will definitely return to hire again and recommended to other people we met whilst out on the bikes.Written 16 November 2023

- Blyn M0 contributionsBrilliantExcellent bike tour with Ruben very good value for money. Well set up with your bike before heading out for about 4 hours in total. Plenty of stops and interesting history on route, easy ride with a small group. All the iconic sights on route with a pit stop at the pub. I would highly recommend Bonza.Written 7 March 2023
- 380lynnew0 contributionsSydney Classic must do!We had Rin as our guide and she was excellent - very engaging and informative. The perfect way to see the fantastic sights of our beautiful city and learn a bit of history too. A must do for both tourists and locals. Would have loved to have more time relaxing at the Lord Nelson but that’s for another day. I’ll be recommending this 4 hour tour to friends and family.Written 10 January 2023
- Dannyboy320 contributionsAwesome!Jeff the guide was next level good! This was a must do for Sydney! So much information we wouldn't have known had we not booked thisWritten 17 November 2022
- Hjber0 contributionsLoads to seeGreat tour, seen loads of Sydney in a 4 hour get moving classic tour. We had Rin our expert guide explain all the sites and we seemed to cover miles and miles. Weather wise we were lucky with 28 deg and sunshine so the trip was first class and there was loads to see and learn about, The highlight was up on the bridge looking out over the bay. The lowlight was the climb up to that level but there is an option of an ebike which would have made life a lot easier. In saying that we are 60 + and managed fine. Give it a go.... you won't regret it. Regards BertWritten 25 October 2022

Matthew was so helpful and gave us great advice on where we should go and created a fantastic route for us. Best way to see Sydney!! Riding over the Sydney Harbour Bridge was the best experience ever and seeing the sites all the way to Bondi! After a long day of riding you can take your bikes back on the Ferry and enjoy the scenery!! Highly recommend!!Written 28 April 2021
- oneajthepro0 contributionsFantastic classic tour of SydneyWe did the 4hour classic tour with our 2 boys (aged 12 +10). Brady was our guide in our group of 11. It was a perfect size group and the cycling was great. There were a couple of hill but you can walk them if you want to. We saw sights that we wouldn't have probably seen so really pleased we did the tour. The kids said they want to do it again. We did it on our first day in Sydney which really helped orientate ourselves. Some of the cycling is on busy roads which is fine if you (and your family) are confident cyclists. Brady out guide was great with the kids (and all of us) ensuring we were safe on the roads at a times. He was funny and engaging. This is the best start to the trip we could have had as its really helped us understand the city and the country of Australia. Thank you bonza Bike tours. It was great and I would have definitely anyone going to Sydney to do it.Written 13 December 2019
- 296JulieD0 contributionsBike tour - SydneyRecently took the Sydney bike tour with my husband. Our tour guide, Dani was very friendly and informative throughout the 4 hour ride - she guided us expertly through the busy streets of Sydney with numerous stops where she shared knowledgeable stories from Sydneys history. The tour we did only included 2 hills that where quite steep but short. The tour took you to all the highlights of the city including the bridge, opera House, Hyde Park as well as along the harbour front. We also had a stop at an old pub where we enjoyed a local drink. Definitely a tour to do and would recommend for all abilities.Written 21 November 2019
- Micky1283980 contributionsFantastic way to see Sydney! We have just completed the 4 hour Classic Sydney tour with our outstanding guide Brady. A very relaxed and friendly tour, not overly taxing on the legs and plenty of stops for photos, refreshments at the oldest Hotel in Sydney and for educational info to be shared. As the only Aussies on the tour even we learnt new things and saw new locations around Sydney that we were previously unaware of. Highly recommended as an excellent way to see the most interesting sites Sydney has to offer!!Written 15 November 2019

Although it was a rainy day we had a great bike ride through Sydney. It's an excellent way to explore the city. Bonza Bike took us on a trip around the highlights of Sydney. The tour is a perfect combination of cycling and getting informed about the city and the history. We did this bike tour on the first day of our stay in Sydney. It was an excellent start of our trip through Australia.
Thanks a lot!

Unfortunately the Sydney Winter weather didn't cooperate on the day of your tour but we are glad you had a great time anyway.
I hope you enjoyed the rest of your time in Sydney.

Our guide Rin was a fantastic lead as 8 of us followed her through the streets of Sydney. Our group consisted of my family of 4 (with 2 college students), a couple in their early 60’s , and 2 solo travelers in their 20’s. One of the solo travelers used an electric bike and the other 7 of us had regular mountain bikes all of which were in excellent condition. Everything proceeded very smoothly from check in all the way through our ride despite the rain that was present at the beginning and end of our tour. Rin ensured that we were comfortable on our bikes, made adjustments as needed and kept a constant eye on us throughout the tour. The pace at which we rode and the frequency of the stops made the tour very enjoyable and also very manageable for all fitness levels. Rin was very knowledgeable about Sydney history, happily answered all questions, and took fabulous photos of us at the various stops. I also really appreciated that she would advise us prior to busy streets/intersections of where the group might be separated and that we would regroup just a little further along. She assured us that no one would be left behind and no one was! This bike tour was one of my favorite activities here in Sydney and Rin gets the credit for this. I highly recommend this tour. Ask for Rin as your guide!

Hi Joyce,
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave your detailed review. The best way for us to get the word out there about our tours is from recommendations like this.
Its great to hear you had an amazing time even with the rain, many of our guests are apprehensive about joining the tour if the weather turns but we know you'll have a great time either way! Ill pass your kind words on to Rin, we love knowing our guides made your Sydney experience special.
Thanks,
Emily

Great city, great guide, great experience! You get to see many interesting and different parts of this amazing city, learn amazing and interesting things about its origins and development. Do this trip early on during you stay, it perfectly allows you to pick what areas you like to re-visit later during your stay. We spotted just the right restaurant for our wedding anniversary during the trip. Don't have FOMO for not booking the Harbour Bridge walk, biking across it is as amazing.

This was the best city tour by bike we have ever experienced. Our guide took us to all the important places and he had a story ready for all of them, which went beyond a simple description. The 4 hours went very quickly and we learned many things about the city and its history.

We did the tour on a beautiful sunny day which only added to the enjoyment. Our guide, Jeff, was great. He had lots of information on the different areas of the city as well as the history of the various sights. He also gave us some Indigenous history. We are fit 60 year olds and the regular bikes were great. There really is no need for e bikes for this tour . Riding across the bridge was easy as there is a bike only side and a pedestrian only side. This tour is a great way to get oriented to Sydney so that you can return to certain areas at your leisure later in your stay. The Queenie wrap was delicious for lunch. Do this tour on your first or second day in Sydney.

A must do for all.
Excellent tours guides who shared an incredible amount of knowledge about Sydney and its indigenous community, colonial migration, famous landmarks, and much more.
I wish I had done this at the beginning of my holiday as it put Sydney, geographically, in perspective, showing me places I would go back to.
Doing all of this on a bike was easy, as we covered so much territory (17 kms).
I loved it!

Bonza Bike tours is a class act. The tour is great and covers a lot of ground and very little of it is on actual roads/streets as biking in Sydney is really convenient with bike paths and boardwalks so that you don't have to worry about cars. There is an ebike option for an extra charge available also. The guide stopped often for commentary which was very interesting. Only caveat is they go rain or shine so watch the weather! IF you are arriving by cruise ship (we weren't) the shop is only 2 blocks away from where the ship docks in "The Rocks" area. An easy walk and a great alternative for ships tours. Highly recommend.

Fantastic overview of Sydney. We always try to do a bike tour whenever we visit a new major city. This one did not disappoint. Toured the harbor, bridge (rode to the top), parks, city center. Even visited a historic pub. Conveniently located in the The Rocks neighborhood of Sydney. A few hills but overall not a hard ride.

From the friendly welcome to the pleasant and knowledgeable guides (Stuart and Jay), the Sydney bike tour was an excellent way to learn the geography and history of the wonderful city. We took the Harbour Bridge tour (5hrs) and the time flew past. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic day out with Matt taking the lead! There were 5 of us ranging in age from 10 to 50 and the tour was great for all of us. Matt was really informative, organised, in charge, gave us a few laughs and, all in all, we had a perfect day out. We highly recommend Bonza Tours, and Matt.

I don't ride a bike often and uphill can be a challenge for me. I read in one of the reviews that you have electric bikes available for an additional cost. Please confirm. We are looking to book this tour in February.

I don’t recall seeing smaller sizes but the seat go down pretty low to accommodate most sizes. I’d call and check with them.
There were a few hills early in the ride that was difficult for some riders. The group waits for everyone and there’s no shame in walking the bike up the hill.
The tour group is very accommodating to everyone.
We have 3 kids (8, 10 and 13) and were looking to book the 2.5 hour trip but do not see it available at any point. We come in June 13 - 15. Is this option open? Thank you!

How many miles or kilometers is the bike tour?
I am traveling with my children, 6 and 8 years old. They can both ride bikes. I notice the tour accepts children. Do you have children's bikes for them to ride? Thanks!
