Great fun on the bungy swing and jetboat
We rocked up without any booking only had 45mins and staff were great, very friendly and managed to fit myself and the kids in for a bungy swing and the kids for a jetboat. Staff were great with the kids especially the jetboat driver.

    A fun few hours
My husband and I spent Tuesday afternoon at this park. The staff were wonderful looking after our 3 grandchildren (one very cautious) on the rides A special thank you to Adam on the jet boat ride. He has a lovely manner with a beautiful smile on his face for all his clients, and drives the boat very professionally.

Staff behaviour needs a bit of a review.
Facilities were amazing, kids absolutely loved the ride, would have given 5 stars but after the ride we stayed and watched other customers on their rides and staff stood around next to us on the deck by the ticket office talking and swearing, with loud and multiple use of the F-word. Very unprofessional and disrespectful, would think twice before taking the kids there again. Kind of made what should have been a great experience a bit crappy.

Awesome experience! Extremely fun and exciting!
One of the staff that operated the ride went on the Swing with two of us and gave an extra 'surprise' surprise to make it more unpredictable and thrilling! AAA+++ for excellent customer service. Can buy pictures and recording of the experience! The Shweeb was a little disappointing as the pictures from the official site is a little misleading. The track was not as huge as what it looks but nevertheless fun!

    Adrenaline boost
What a fabulous place. We arrived good and early, jus as they were opening. That was a good idea as the queues got quite long later in the day. Some of them up to 30 minutes at the busiest time. We started with the Freefall Xtreme. The experience of a parachute freefall provided by a giant fan. It is an enormous amount of fun but a lot more hard work than it looks. It really tests your core strength maintaining the correct position. We followed that with the swoop. You get fastened into what feels like seeping bags before being hoisted 40 meters in the air and dropped to swing on a cord. The initial acceleration is exhilarating. An ideal ride for couples. The Agrojet is a jet boat ride racing around a complex course at high speed. You don't get to drive the boat, you wouldn't want to. The drivers are obviously highly skilled and get the best out of the boats. We ended with the Shweeb Racer, a duel cycle powered monorail . It is dammed hard work if you want to be competitive but you get a heck of a speed going. Wonderful. The whole place is staffed by some lovely, friendly people who seem to be having as much fun as the customers.

    bucket list ticked
i only went to do the Freefall Extreme. The staff were great at explaining what i had to do during the safety briefing. Clear hand signals were used to guide me as, with the roar of the wind turbine , you couldn't hear anything else. Wow. great fun although my nearly elderly body felt a bit sore afterwards from arching my back to hold the correct position! All good though. 90 seconds of adrenaline for me.

Appalling and shocking behaviour by staff
While standing on the viewing platform for the jet boat the driver purposely saturated us. She could see I was standing there with my phone and a very expensive bag. There was 3 inches of filthy water in the bottom of my bag destroying my phone charger, vape and charger, and my car key. The receipts and photos in my wallet were defrosted. My phone was water damaged and wouldn’t charge for 3 days. My Louis Vuitton bag was also left water damaged. My clothes and the only pair of shoes I had for the trip were completely soaked. When I complained and requested a towel the manager was rude and refused to help me. When I stated how angry I was the driver told me she had asked my boys if they wanted to splash me. They said to her ok but only a little bit so she said to them ok just a little bit. When this was her excuse she said she had said it to them sarcastically. The manager said it was a splash platform and clearly stated this. While this might be true it was also the only viewing platform In order to get photos and videos of the children in the ride. The driver could clearly see me with my handbag and phone in hand so I am dumbfounded as to how she would think that soaking me would be appreciated. In all appalled by the lack of concern, the refusal to even offer me a towel, and the rudeness they showed. This “splash” caused about $850 worth of damage to my personal items. I will never return, never recommend

    Awesome fun at Velocity Valley
Had a great time at Velocity city trying all the rides. On the first day the Argo jet wasn’t on because of the rain, good to know safety always comes first! Great time on all the rides, my kids loved the swoop I loved the Agro jet. Brought the pics that captured some great snaps. Not to be missed on your next trip to Rotorua-the Taniela’s from Porirua

Awesome fun for the whole family
The wife dragged me to this one as I'm not a fan of falling from the sky or adventure sports of this nature. We bought a 6 ticket option and myself, the wife and the oldest son did the freefall (wind tunnel) ride. The wife did the swoop (as you wouldn't find me dead on that ride ever) and the two kids (10 and 5) did the boat ride. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the events. The price was really reasonable. I'd suggest you take your own photos / videos as the price for that component is quite a expensive (so we didn't take it and our footage is more than sufficient).

I tried the vertigo, schweeb and agrojet, all of which are quite unique experiences that I enjoyed. The schweeb in particular brought out some unexpected competitiveness in me and if I'd had more time I would have for sure spent more time trying to break the record 1.03. I went on a weekday which I recommend if you can because I had limited wait time. All of the staff I dealt with were excellent and did their best to reassure me before I plummeted from vertigo. It is quite an expensive set of activities but there's a lot to do in the one place, and it's close to other interesting activities like the agrodome, wingspan and paradise spring valley wildlife park. Worth saving your money for.

There are total 5 activities which one can enjoy like Mono rail, Jet boating, Sky diving, Bungee jumping and Wire rope swinging. The staff are all so amazing that make sure that you have lots of fun.

We did 3 out of 5. First did jet boating which was fun, then we did Sheeb which was also great. Last we did sky swing for which Me and my friend was very nervous, but it turned out to be our favourite activity there. We had the great time at agroventures.

They also provide complimentary pickup and drop from city centre.

We chose the 10 ride package which is $249 and gave us the option to do anything which with a group of 5 we got to choose 2 each. While it may seem expensive compared to everything else around we felt it was pretty good value overall. We did the swing, jet boat and free fall. The staff were very helpful and we all had a great time. All up for the 5 of us each ride is about 3-5 minutes and overall spent about 2 hours there. Would highly recommend but understand each ride is a couple of minutes ride only which we knew beforehand.

Hey nzdogfood It's great to hear you and your family really enjoyed your afternoon with us and it looks like you picked the right package for your sized family which brings the cost down to $25 per ride. From the sounds of things, you guys picked the three most exhilarating rides we have so good on you guys for choosing to push the limit a little. We'd love to see any photos you took while you were here so post them if you've got them. Warm regards, Velocity Valley Team

Rarely leave reviews but felt compelled with Freefall Xtreme at Agroventures.
The guy briefs you the perfect position, yet when you are on there all he does is pull on your legs, whilst the other guy is constantly shouting/directing body positions to me. Far from enjoyable, I was just pulled and tossed about, it had absolute no relation to the briefing. Its over in about 25 seconds. Why don't they just let me go for 5 minutes where I can work out my own balance and enjoy the sensation?? instead they just shout/ pull/ stick a gopro in your face / direct body positions. Extremely disappointing, very little point in this activity. Save your money, avoid. The guys are nice but you can see on their face their enthusiasm is from false pretences, they know its excrement!

Hi Camron Very sad to hear of your experience here at Agroventures.I feel compelled to explain to our other readers the complexities and safety side of Body-flying that you tried. When customers are trained inside there isn't 160 Kph winds blowing under you and so it is quite a simple task to lie on the training bench in the perfect position. However once out in the air stream things become a bit tricky and also the reason why we have our safety instructors there to help. Their task is to hold customers" in " the air stream for as long as possible and sometimes people like yourself fight the wind and may feel as though you are getting dragged around but you are actually being put "in " the air stream. We've viewed your flight and you were on there for exactly 1.34 minutes and the reason the staff shout is because its 130 decibels out there. If possible I would encourage you to come back and try again as the flight is nothing like you have described to other readers. I sincerley appologise if that was how you felt about our very popular ride here at Agroventures but do feel yours was a bit misunderstood. Regards Agroventures

First the good: The facilities and attractions at Agroventures are obviously quite new and very well looked after, and lots of money has been spent to deliver a range of activities. The staff were very friendly and enthusiastic, and there were no queues, possibly because we were there on a weekday afternoon.

Now the not-so-good: Unfortunately, Agroventures is let down by delivering poor value for money. My 9 year old son and I spent $215 on a package to do the Shweeb, Freefall Extreme and AgroJet. Ignoring the briefings before each ride, between us we were on the Schweeb for maybe 3 minutes, the Freefall for 3 minutes and the AgroJet for 5 minutes. 11 minutes of activities in total! And then we are hit up for more money to buy videos of each attraction.

It was a good experience. At a time only 2 people cant ride on it (As they have only 2 shweebs), so those 2 people compete with each other. It is similar to bicycling but in a fancy way. Staff was really good and helpful. But... it is expensive; as at Velocity you have to pay for each ride (if you do not go for a combo). I would love to go again if the prices are set nominal. If I compare it to Rainbows End (theme park in Auckland), at a price less than of 2 combined rides of Velocity you can enjoy Rainbows end's full theme park.

Excellent setup and very professional. Was at Agroventures for bungy, would highly recommend for bungy lovers to try this place. Very professional and conducted by the book to ensure safety of jumpers. Bungy master was very communicative in explaining the process and calming the nerves :) Keep up the good work guys.

Visited the park to go on Freefall only as there are much better Jetboat and Bungy rides else where in the country. Staff were unfriendly and "robotic". Sounded like call centre workers trying to sell insurance. Ride was very short, 1min 45sec and the staff didn't let go of riders legs or wrists the whole time so there was no felling of a free fall just air blowing in ya face. Complete waste of money, should of just stuck head out of car window while doing 100kph. Just go skydiving instead.

Visited this park with my children and they loved the activities - we did the 'free fall extreme', the 'agrojet ' and the 'swoop' all of which got a thumbs up from the family. Lots of attention to training, safety and comfort from the staff who were all very professional, friendly and fun. My only gripe would be the cost of the photos/videos - very clever marketing means that every activity is go-pro'ed and as soon as the kids saw the videos of themselves they wanted to take them home. Luckily for them they had an indulgent grandfather, otherwise the cost for me would have been too much on top of the rides themselves!

I came to Agroventures with about ten other nannies and we were all slightly underwhelmed by the overall size and appearance of the park. The website does a fantastic job making the park appear to be more scenic and widespread than it actually it is; the photos on the site all created an illusion of grandeur which led us to be slightly disappointed when arriving. HOWEVER, the park does pack quite a lot in the minimal area: the swoop (my choice), the schweeb, rotorua bungee, freefall "xtreme" and the agrojet. But as you can imagine, the schweeb (pedal-powered pod) is severely limited by the lack of space and the track looks more like a kiddie roller-coaster track which supposedly allows you to go upwards 30MPH. The agrojet was also depicted differently on the website because, once again, the limited space created a man-made "river" that looked more like a reservoir canal than anything else. The website claims that the agrojet "...take[s] you over a high octane sprint course, weaving around islands..." Umm, what islands? The bungee and freefall are pretty straight-forward but who would want to bungee off of a crane when you have the option of Queenstown or even the Auckland Bridge? Maybe for the true adrenaline junkie that has to bungee jump in every town they travel to. Lastly, the best for last, THE SWOOP. The ropes pull you up 141 FT and leave one of the inhabitants (me, in this instance) to pull the line that releases and drops you at speeds of 81MPH. Then you soar in a swing motion which ultimately, is quite serene and you feel really impressed with yourself afterwards. If nothing else, GO JUST FOR THE SWOOP. You won't have many chances to do something like that anywhere else.
