    What to Expect
Inis Oirr (Eastern Island) is only a 30 minute ferry journey from Doolin. There are many attractions to be found here – ancient castles, a shipwreck, a lighthouse, one of Ireland’s most beautiful beaches, a modern playground and several fine pubs and cafes. The 3 pubs all serve good, local food and traditional Irish music can be heard on a daily basis.

There are a number of ways to see the island while you are there. You can walk along the many quiet roads, rent a bicycle on the island, or take a guided tour in one of the pony & traps or tour buses.

The Cliffs of Moher are the crowning glory of the Clare coastline. Like a viewing platform for prehistoric giants who wish to peer over the edge of Europe, the cliffs provide an unrivaled view across the vast boiling wildness of the Atlantic Ocean, a world unchanged since the pre-Celtic masters of magic, the Tuatha Dé Danann ruled Ireland.

One of the highlights of our trip, especially getting soaked by the sea-spray on the way back from the island! Loved the cruise under the cliffs, the view was sensational!

Tina, our tractor/cart driver on the island was very knowledgeable and friendly. Not so with the man who appeared to be the head of the service crew on the boat ride to Cliffs of Moher. For some unknown reason he brought a group of 6-8...More

Our trip out to Inis Oirr was wonderful -- the views and calmness of the travel -- made the boat ride to the island great. Once on the island, I wish I had a better map to explore. Regardless, with or without a map, Inis...More

The ferry set off at 11am for the Cliffs of Mohir. The sea was pretty choppy making the small ferry bounce around a bit. The crew were fantastic though and said this was actually quite a calm day! We arrived at the Cliffs about 25...More

Boat leaves island at quarter to five I think. If you go out to cliffs I think it’s about half six when you get back to Doolin
