Titanic Trail Guided Walking Tour Cobh
From US$14.48
Overview

Learn about the maritime history of Cobh during this walking tour created by historian Dr. Michael Martin. The town, which sits off the south coast of Cork, was the last port of call for the Titanic and a receiver of survivors of the Lusitania sinking. Limited to a small group, the tour has an intimate atmosphere.

What to Expect

Meet your guide at the entrance to the Commodore Hotel in Cobh at the appointed time.

Created by the historian Dr. Michael Martin, this walking tour highlights the town’s maritime history. Explore the heritage of Cobh, once the main departure point for millions of Irish emigrants to the US, while learning about its maritime history. Cobh was the last port of call for the Titanic and received survivors of the sinking of the Lusitania during World War I.

As the guide shares stories, stroll through the town to see historic buildings, piers, and monuments.

Tour finishes near St. Colman's Cathedral or the town center.

I thought that our tour would be guided by Michael Martin, but we had a different guide who was very knowledgeable about the local history. Cobh is more than just the Titanic . . . the Lusitania also sailed from Cobh and met an untimely...More

It's only about an hour or so, not a lot of walking. You just stand at a few different sites and listen to the history.
