Great way to see the beauty of Abel Tasman National Park
This is a full day tour. We traveled from Nelson to Marahau which takes about an hour. Checked in at 8 a.m. and found out we would be kayaking first. There were four couples in double kayaks and our guide, Dez. We launched at Low Tide Landing. We kayaked out to Adele Island where there is a bird sanctuary. We also saw some New Zealand fur seals on the rocks. It was a relaxing kayaking trip that ended at Observation Point where we had lunch on the beach. We then hiked back to where we started. The climbing was steep at the beginning from the beach but then evens out. It takes about three hours. Enjoyable day.

      Split Apple Guided Kayak
Fab day, all members of my grouped loved it. Including the guide, we paddled out with 6 of us. Emily was a fantastic guide. Whole process was seamless, no waiting around or being unsure. Company provided wind breaker jackets and dry bags. Kayaked out to Split apple rock, had tea/coffee and a break on the beach. Our guide had picnic rugs, extra layers if we were cold, wind proof jackets etc felt like they'd thought of everything to give us a great trip. Timing was great, long enough to have fun and feel like we've had an experience without feeling tired/it going on for too long. Grateful for the hot showers at the end!

A full day of adventure not to be missed
What a fantastic way to spend a day! Our guide Mo was such fun, her incredible knowledge of the area & its wildlife was a real hit for us. From the facts & figures about Adele Islands predator free status to pointing out gulls nesting spots, it all added to the experience.

      Don't hesitate, just go!
Absolutely worth it! Start the day with the walk and take a coffee at the bar in the beginning of the walk. Then meet up with the group and have a lunch before going with the kayak. Had the guide Tash ( 1st of March) and she was brilliant, explained everything from the seals lifecycle to the impact from the pest. Can't recommend it enough. /the Swedish couple

A wonderful trip on and off the water
We did the half day kayak and hike back with a lunch stop. The whole day was awesome, including our guide and the training. The weather was perfect which of course helps. But the bird sanctuary island with the fur seals was worth the price of admission, but then of course there was the rest of it.

Perfect way to see Able Tasman
This was a great experience! I loved all the secluded beaches we stopped at and all the wild life we saw! Darrel was an awesome guide and had a lot of wonderful information about the area and New Zealand as a whole. Would highly recommend this kayak company!

Adventure in a stunningly beautiful place
Our kayak adventure with Able Tasman Kayaks was well managed from beginning to end. Every staff member from was friendly, helpful and efficient but Mitchell, our guide, was amazing. His ability to anticipate our needs, keep to the schedule, to provide the details we needed, to make the necessary adjustments (on the third day he provided us with a walking option that was very satifying) and to prepare healthy, delicious meals and snacks for up to 10 of us was truly amazing. The campsites were set up for us and we even had air mattresses. We are not strong paddlers so a kayak/walk/kayak may have been a better choice for us as the waves and headwind around a couple of of the points were hard but Mitchell made it work for us. Thank you Mitchell! I highly recommend Abel Tasman Kayaks for an adventure in a stunningly beautiful place.

      Fun but brief
Abel Tasman Sea Kayaks’ facility and operation were efficient and well-organized. Our guide was friendly, interesting, and capable. We enjoyed our kayaking but were disappointed that it was significantly shorter duration, especially time in the water, even though there were no delays getting out, weather was great, and group seemed totally up for doing the amount of kayaking suggested by the itinerary.

      The magic Abel Tasman
What a fantastic family trip! Whitney the super guide looked after us so well! The food was amazing, nothing was rushed and a good amount of paddling each day. My son is also Coeliac and they catered for him extremely well. Blue water, green bush and golden sand. Absolutely magic! 💯 recommend!

      Fantastic Tour
We had a great full day activity of kayaking guided by Jordan followed by a self guided hike. The kayaking was really enjoyable with some beautiful scenery, we also saw some fur seals. A lovely lunch was provided by the Jordan after the kayaking. We then walked a little on from Observation beach before turning back to Marahau - a perfect day.

Fantastic 3 Day Freedom Kayak Park Start
Fantastic ‘Freedom Kayak’ (self guided) 3 day Park Start. Highly recommended! On our water taxi drop off Skipper went out of his way to look for dolphins that he had heard were around, and what a show they put on for us! Incredible advice from guide Tom before we set out to wait for the tides on day 2 so we didn’t miss being able to paddle in the lagoons. They were so peaceful and great to spot sea life. We saw lots of seals, a ray, a penguin, many shags, etc. It is such a gorgeous place and the campsites (especially Mosquito Bay) are magical. We also had time to do 2 small hikes from anchorage Campground recommended byTom, including a swim and waterslide in Cleopatra’s Pool. Excellent equipment. I wish we had had a full week in AT. Just go. You wont regret it!

      Amazing trip
Just completed the three day great walk from Totoranui to Marahau. Jordan, our tour guide was exceptional. Great food & drinks. In the short time he has been working there he knows the history of this amazing national park and has a real passion for the outdoors. Next trip I will be booking a kayaking tour. Highly recommend anyone wanting to book a tour, book it through Abel Tasman Kayaks!

      Simply Spectacular
From the first email to the shower at the end of our trip our experience with ATK was exceptional. Every team member was professional, friendly, helpful and great to deal with and our guide, Awatea, was fantastic. I can't recommend the Three Day Classic enough. We added an extra day to our trip and walked from Totoranui to Anapai Bay return then on to Awaroa for the night. Tip: pack reef shoes to cross the Awaroa inlet and a plastic bag to put them in afterwards. We met our guide and Kayaks on the beach, had a very clear briefing before hitting the water. The next 3 days were full of adventure information, stories, fun, breathtaking scenery (especially Shag Harbour), delicious meals and possibly the best activity-based trip we have ever done. Our group of 6 (family of 4 and 2 friends) would do it again in a heartbeat.

Awesome Kyak adventure for all - WOW
Awesome day of kyaking with small group & our guide Jordan. He had not been guiding at Abel Tasman Kyaks much more than 3mths, but without a doublt he knows his stuff & even ALL the local points if interest. He is professional an seasoned veteran . Very attentive to all needs & abillities. Not had to recomend thus as a must do if you want to how NZ used to be, prime untouched, golden sand water. Perfect weather *29 C made for a perfect day for all, incleding 2 teenage boys. A nice workout with plenty of rewards at many bays from Arwaroa down to Barks bay, with serveral swims & lunch along the way. 10/10 Jordan - keep doing what you do, a real credit to the Team at Abel Tasman kyaks!!!

We went on a kayak trip and then hike. Everything was extraordinarily beautiful and service was fantastic and perfect from beginning to end. Our guide was Hayley and she was friendly, knowledgeable, easy-to-chat with, and made everyone feel safe and secure. She shared interesting facts along the way about the park (and New Zealand generally), provided flexibility around where we paddled based on group preferences, took us to a quick beach stop before our lunch beach stop, recommended a great burger place for after, and made us all laugh. ❤️
