- cleo h00Interesting walking tourVery interesting walk along the river, seeing the contrasting sides of the city. Anita was a very engaging guide and I would recommend her tours. The tour was free with Oslo pass which is amazing
- Drjennbloc00Meh, Could Have Done WithoutI suppose we are the first to not care for the walk. I thought it was supposed to be a river walk versus a city walk, so that is my error. Nonetheless, thank you for the tour.
- Discover4264070887600Historic River Walk tourAbsolutely fantastic, not to be missed especially if the weather is good. I would never have discovered this part of Oslo were it not for this tour. The snippets of history we heard about from our wonderful guide Kjellfrid (Frida) were also really informative, a great addition to the stunning scenery. It does get a bit steep to walk by the end, but Frida was very attentive to the slowest in the group to make sure we all made it!
- Discover4264070887600Heart of Oslo walking tourGreat tour to give you an introduction to Oslo and its history! Having this as my baseline (did it upon arriving) was a great way to then better explore more of the city alone in the days after. The stories, anecdotes and recommendations from our lovely guide Kjellfrid (Frida) also helped me make lots of decisions for getting the best out of the rest of my trip!
- xiaobol13300A great tourThe tour was excellent and fun, the tour guider was very nice and knowledgeable, she did a great job in introducing the city and the history, highly recommended!
- Genevieve_aust00A wonderful walk along the River! A must do in Oslo. What a wonderful walk along the River, our guide Frida was so incredibly informative. The weather was so good, we were very lucky, but this would be a great walk no matter what. Thank you Frida!!
- emmabQ3511YP00Pleasnt walk along the riverMari was a charming and pleasant tour guide, showing us around in the less-known part of Olso, with good mix of history, local traditions, today's life, ... and time to just wander around in your own thoughts. It is great that you can walk as far as you can, and then take the bus back. Vulkan was a place that would be nice to stay a bit longer to try some of the food. Recommended.
- Vacation59107400Great walkWe learned a lot about the city and the buildings we passed by, well timed and interesting walk. Our guide was well informed.
- kevingvand00Cool tour with amazing guideA very nice tour along the beautiful river and some really nice waterfalls. The guide was very kind and amazingly skilled. During the tour you will learn many interesting historical facts about Oslo! It's definitely a must when visiting Oslo.
- Curious65259400Recommend River Walk TourThank you very much, Frida! Interesting walk outside the center with good amount of information to digest. Highly recommend!
- gabrielabJ525CK00Great tour! Definitely do it.Anita was a great tour guide, we did two different walks with her on different days. Very knowledgeable and adds a lot of personal stories of growing up in Oslo which are very interesting to hear about! Thank you. We especially enjoyed the river walk tour and saw new neighbourhoods. We recommend doing the tours if you want to experience a deeper connection with Oslo and it’s authenticity.
- Resort2749463599000Loved walking along the river and learning about the history.Anita led a very interesting and fun tour with lots of stories and history along the river from the Tiger right up to the red house.
- TP20300Oslo walking tourA nice walk around Oslo with a friendly and knowledgeable guide. Would highly recommend! Lovely activity when the sun is shining
- PadmasreeR100Guided walk tourIt's an interesting and little off beat places that I wouldn't have gone or known otherwise. Guide was pretty enthusiastic
- hendtmk00Wonderful tour!Great tour, wonderful guide. I highly recommend it, especially at the start of your visit to Oslo. It shows you a different side of the city and the guide shares very interesting facts and even memories of the city she knows so well.

The fact I did three walking tours in three days should speak for the positive experience I had! Huge shoutout to Kjellfrid (Frida) who guided me on all three and did a truly wonderful job, also answering any and all questions we threw at her. On this Contrasts tour I enjoyed seeing some bits of the city I'd seen before, but with information/history given from a different angle and linked together with bits of the city I would likely not have explored. These tours are definitely to be recommended!

I had a fantastic experience on this walking tour with the knowledgeable and friendly Erlend as my guide.
Two hours felt like the perfect length of time but I could have easily gone on longer. The engaging and charamasmatic tour was faultless, a fantastic overviw of Oslo history sprinkled with jokes and great nuggets of information that kept the whole group engaged despite a very cold Oslo day! It has inspired me to learn more about Oslo when I return home.
The tour was free with the Oslo Pass but I would highly recommend to anyone as a standalone booking as well.

I had my Oslo Pass for the day and had no other plans so decided to go on the tour as it was included in the price and although I have been to Oslo before it was mostly to visit my friend and I had never looked into history or culture much so I wanted to have a bit of a crash course. Turns out I was the only person who came to take the tour today, but it still went ahead, and Frida - the guide was very nice and knowledgeable and I got to have a lovely private tour!

I booked a walking tour for this afternoon, when I got to the start point the staff said that the tour didn’t exist. The staff in the visitor centre very helpful called Oslo Guidebureau for me but weren’t able to get an explanation of what was going on.
Hopefully the refund process will go smoothly. I will report back.

A 2 hour walking guided tour at below freezing temperatures could have easily been a non so pleasant activity, but Erland, our guide made it fun and entertaining.
He was able to provide historic information in such an engaging way, and in two hours managed to give us all what we needed to know about this lovely city.
Totally recommendable.Hopefully you will be lucky enough to have Erland as a guide.

We had a very enjoyable and informative tour through the heart of Oslo, from the new Opera through downtown and around the medieval Akershus to the historic Stortinget, with lots more along the way. Our guide, Erlend, a native, was full of energy and had stories about the old and the new Oslo, bringing both history and current events to life for visitors to his ever-changing city. He brought a sense of humor, a thoughtful perspective, and some hospitality, looking after the comfort of each individual. Nice job - made my day!

I was in Oslo for less than 24 hours and felt that a walking tour starting at the Tourist Information Centre would be a good introduction to Oslo. It really was. The guide was very knowledgeable and she made the tour really interesting. We numberered around 15 and the price was far lower than many of the competition.
We started in the area around the splendid Opera House and looked at Oslo's interesting urban renovation including the ugly Munch Gallery.
We then went to the Akersius Fortess and worked our way up to Karl Johans Gate and such important buildings as the Parliament and the National Theatre. We ended at the excellent Royal Palace. All in all, I got a good feel for Oslo...at a reasonable price...from an excellent guide, who spoke excellent English

Frida was our guide and she waa excellent , very knowlegeable and gave us the history. 2 hours is just right so you work out the city , ask all the questions and then you can go off and spend the time where it is best for you. Frida even lent me her umbrella when it started to rain .
Useful tip. Buy the oslo pass and the tour is free.
