    City of Contrasts walking tour
The fact I did three walking tours in three days should speak for the positive experience I had! Huge shoutout to Kjellfrid (Frida) who guided me on all three and did a truly wonderful job, also answering any and all questions we threw at her. On this Contrasts tour I enjoyed seeing some bits of the city I'd seen before, but with information/history given from a different angle and linked together with bits of the city I would likely not have explored. These tours are definitely to be recommended!

    Heart of Oslo walking tour
Great tour to give you an introduction to Oslo and its history! Having this as my baseline (did it upon arriving) was a great way to then better explore more of the city alone in the days after. The stories, anecdotes and recommendations from our lovely guide Kjellfrid (Frida) also helped me make lots of decisions for getting the best out of the rest of my trip!

I had a wonderful tour today with Erlend which turned out to be a private tour! He didn’t spare any details and interesting facts and he showed me the great river and told me about its history, and gave me tips for my time in Oslo! I hope to also attend the City of Contrasts walk too :)

Very interesting walk along the river, seeing the contrasting sides of the city. Anita was a very engaging guide and I would recommend her tours. The tour was free with Oslo pass which is amazing

I suppose we are the first to not care for the walk. I thought it was supposed to be a river walk versus a city walk, so that is my error. Nonetheless, thank you for the tour.

We spent a nice afternoon walking around the riverside. The guide told us the history of some of the most famous bridges and from the ancient Oslo. The experience was fantastic because of the tour and because of the great company of the guide, she is super kind!!

My guide Kjellfrid or "Frida" was lively and engaging and had great insight into the history of Oslo and also of how things are changing in this rapidly growing city. The walk itself starts at the Oslo Visitor Center, goes around the Opera House and then up the Akerselva river, took us through Grønland and showed how Olso is changing and evolving from its early history to today. Some of the sites like the "Fairy Tale Bridge" are gems that you would not ordinarily see. This is not a city highlights tour but gives a very interesting perspective and is well worth it. Wear walking shoes and bring a camera to capture the river and some of the art work and historic bridges.

This is an interesting alternative walk in oslo, it focuses on the changes along the river from it's industrial roots through to it's cultural significance today. Our guide (alan) was very informative but also had a good sense of humour and kept it fun. This is possibly not the tour for everyone as you won't see the main attractions in oslo if that is all you are interested in then do the city of contrasts tour, but this is still an excellent tour and well worth it.

Dear Robert B, Happy New Year and thank you for giving us a perfect rating! We are very happy to hear that you found this tour to be both interesting and fun and will certainly share this great review with our guide Erlend. The historic River Walk is one out of three different city walks that we offer all year. And this particular tour is as you point out an interesting alternative walk in Oslo, while the other two tours - the "City of Contrasts" and "Oslo City Highlights" - cover many of the main attractions. Thank you again! We look forward seeing you on your next Oslo visit. Best regards, Stefanie Tuma Marketing Manager Oslo Guidebureau
