Northern Lights Sailing
From US$167.99
Spotting the northern lights can be tricky. Maximize your chances of seeing the natural phenomenon on this sailing trip from Tromsø. In a small group of no more than 12 people, board a catamaran and head out onto the water, far from the lights of Tromsø and to some of the best spots for seeing the aurora. Along the way, enjoy provided snacks and drinks while keeping an eye out for the dancing lights to appear overhead.
What to Expect

We are very passionate about The Northern Lights and will do everything we can do to provide you with the most memorable experience while waiting for the sky to start dancing in the sky above you. There are many ways to enjoy nature’s best light show, but our favorite is to combine it with a warm, comfortable cruise through the fjords surrounding Tromsø.

Why watch the northern lights by boat instead of car you may ask? Sailing through the fjords in the polar night is a very unique and different experience than driving to a certain spot in a car or bus. We are able to keep moving with the lights, while being able to go inside to grab a fresh coffee, stay warm and enjoy the lights on the net of a spacious catamaran.

Our skippers and guides have the knowledge and first hand experience to keep you safe and comfortable while enjoying the dancing night sky. After hundreds of sailing tours in the area we have found the best spots in which we will have the highest chances to see the lights. Your skipper will also navigate to different areas depending on the weather forecast.

We caught the Northern Lights

It was a good sailing experience, besides viewing the Northern Lights, the soup was delicious. The Captain and the staff are pleasant.

We did have many excursions. As my group and I, we do not like an excursion with many people. We did not enjoy properly the sailing. It's not worth it the price, the guys was super friendly, they cooked a nice soup. We were trying...More

Hi Jorge, I would recommend taking an SLR camera, as our mobile Iphone cameras didn't pick up any pictures. There were a couple of people on board with us, who took amazing pictures with their SLR cameras. Enjoy!
