Overview
The Norwegian tradition of dog sledding is a popular activity for visitors, but it can be difficult to plan an adventure on your own. This husky sledding tour from Tromso takes you to Kvaloya and a husky farm to go sledding with a professional musher. Warm clothes and a hot lunch by a campfire are included to keep you cozy in the cold weather.
What to Expect
This husky sledding tour pickup point is the Radisson Blu Hotel in central Tromso. When booking, there are multiple tour times available to fit your busy schedule. This tour also provides warm clothes and boots to keep you feeling comfortable in the cold weather.

Once you arrive on the island of Kvaloya, your first stop is a husky farm. Under the close supervision of your guide, get the chance to visit with the 350 huskies.

Afterward, with a professional musher, go for a sled ride pulled by huskies around the countryside.

Next, warm up by a campfire with a traditional Norwegian meal of bidos (a soup made with reindeer meat, vegetables, and broth). Please note that vegetarian options are available, if requested.

Your tour ends with a drop-off back at the Radisson Blu Hotel.

Aurora Camp and Husky Ride---Fun Experience, Very Expensive

Overall, I enjoyed my experience. I camped overnight in a Sami hut, visited the huskies (over 300 of them!), which were beautiful and very friendly, tried reindeer, watched for the northern lights, and drove a dog sled! The customer service was excellent! I was warm...More

No weight limit but I think they select a range of people for each sled, my partner is very tall and heavy and we had no problem, have a great time we did!
