Fun time! Great way to beat the heat.
So convenient as the line does get long. Print your tickets, but if you can’t, the attendant will write down your booking number and print one for you.

    Great collection of historical artefacts
Great for history buffs and fans of old relics and over the top vestments and crowns. Jewels on display are amazing and the wealth on display is a bit beyond comprehension. This is a great addition to a visit to the Kunsthistoriches Museum that contains other “gifts” to the Hapsburg that are also over the top (and probably couldn’t fit into the treasury). Highly recommended.

    Crown Jewels at the Museum
Enjoyed the exhibit and the fine clothing. Especially the embroidery. The jewels were very nice but nothing compared to the collection at London Tower.

Lots of Robes - Not So Many Jewels
I love jewelry from all time periods and have seen some amazing pieces around the world. I was expecting some exciting bling from such a long reigning family, but it was mostly ceremonial robes & religious relics. A couple amazing crowns but no personal period jewelry of the family etc. At least one display of women’s items would be warranted. Hard to find but quick to get in. 16 euros for adults/12 euros for seniors. Storage lockers provided for backpacks, it cost a euro, but you get it back when you put the key back in the lock. If you’ve got nothing else to do, it’s a good look around. But I saw more interesting things at the Dorotheum Auction House about two blocks away!

    AMAZING COLLECTION!!!
They have an amazing collection, not only from the crown jewellery, but also valuable objects that added value to their collection, such as, a fragment of the crux, spere of destiny, swords and cloaks from the crown knights. It is amazing to watch and you can not spend enough time, everywhere you look is something amazing to meet the eye.

Easy to enter, long way to visit
Interesting and long way to visit all dresses and jewels. There is no queueing to get entrance ticket. The entrance is hidden when being in the square.

    Good but could be better
After a missed try to visit this museum several years ago I finally got my chance during my recent visit to Vienna. While the displays of the Crown Jewels and elaborate clothing items were impressive I left feeling that I wanted more. It is not a huge museum but in the end I am happy I saw it but not completely satisfied.

Crowns, jewelry, robes and much more
Honestly, I was a little disappointed with this museum. Under the name "Imperial Treasury" I imagined an exhibition of crown jewels and lots of jewelry. Yes, you can see really beautiful royal crowns here as well the jewellery of Empress Elisabeth, but the most represented are church objects and robes. In any case, there can be seen the real treasures in this museum, including the world’s largest cut emerald.

    Visiting the Vault
The entrance to the Treasury resembled a vault and it makes sense given the many artifacts and valuables inside including some crown jewels. While I would consider other sites in Vienna to be must-sees, this is still a nice museum to visit if time permits. We purchased the combined ticket with the KHM Museum online that gives access to both sites on the same or different day at a discount. By the entrance, there was a gift shop, free toilets, and lockers (needs a 1 Euro coin that you will get back).

Skip the line ticket received was not accepted at the museum. Barcode did not register. Had to join standard ticket queue to get exchange. 45 minutes wasted.

    Exquisite Displays
We were on a 5 day visit to Vienna and planned to visit the Kaiserliche. We were certainly not disappointed with exhibits from the Roman to the Austrian Empire. All exhibits well posted in German and English . The imperial jewels and robes were exquisite. We spent a few hours there and then got refreshed in the lovely cafe. We bought the tickets in the day €12 each . Excellent value

    Amazing collection
This was the best museum we did in Vienna. There are actually two sets of Crown Jewels. One for Rudolph and one for Charlemagne. The Charlemagne one is so old it’s remarkable!! They also have relics like a piece of Jesus loin cloth or a piece of the tablecloth from the last supper. Also more traditional gems and vestments. The audio guide is very well done.

Focused Museum With Lots of Great Stuff!
This place was super cool. It is definitely a fairly focused museum, but you get a really good variety of different artifacts from both the Holy Roman Empire and the Austrian Empire. The museum is very well marked and provides descriptions in both English and German. The folks there were great, very helpful. You could definitely spend hours in there reading and looking at everything!

    Imperial Treasury
Stunning displays of Imperial jewels and robes as well as pictures, religious items and such. All labeled in English as well. Very happy to report that photography is permitted. We bought tickets on line, good all day, no need to schedule time.

    Imperial treasure
The Mrs was keen to see the imperial treasures. It’s a compact museum you can see all in under one hour. Interesting for those disposed to jewellery I guess.

We purchased the combination tickets that allowed us to visit both the Kunsthistorisches Museum and the Imperial Treasury, since separate tickets to the two museums would cost more. The Imperial Treasury collection is like the Crown Jewels collection in London. You see the riches that the European powers gained from around the world, but you don’t learn much about the wars that expansion brought. In the case of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire, though, a lot of the power and wealth was gathered through marriages with other imperial powers.

We visited the Imperial Treasury of Vienna, where we saw an impressive collection of crowns, jewellery, robes and other riches. While there are sign boards throughout that explain the various displays, I highly recommend purchasing the audio guide. That way, you can listen to detailed descriptions of the pieces as well as historical information. Also, the Treasury is quite dark and sometimes crowded, which can make it frustrating to try to read the signs, so it's better to listen on the handset.

The Treasury is set up as a series of small rooms to explore, but it can be a bit of a maze. Make sure you follow the numbers of the rooms and displays to make sure you don't miss anything. We had to double-back when we realized we missed a room or two.

Wonderful collections. The Kunstkammer (decorative arts) is unique in the world. Objects of exquisite workmanship, such as Cellini's salt shaker... automatons, glassware, superb ivories and other wonders. Pure enjoyment. The only criticism would be made of the cafeteria service. Not only are the prices high, but they do not accept tickets and the service does not seem very willing and you have to ask them to give you the printed bill.

Spent about an hour here but you could easily spend far more time at this museum if you listened to everything on the audio guide and read all the info provided. It was quite hot inside and only pockets of the museum seemed to have ventilation. Thought this would be a little more like London in terms of Crown Jewels to see, but this included far more clothing/vestments, small carved statues, and relics. Definitely some cool stuff worth seeing (see photos below), and we bought the KHM combo ticket because of all the museums included.

Great museum. Very nice building. The museum is packed with fine art. The only downside is that I am actually ,ore interrested in more modern art from the early 1900’s. But amazing museum if you are into the older stuff.

We had bought a joint ticket for these two. Well worthwhile. The Imperial Treasury collection is well presented and quite impressive. In addition to the crowns that are the centrepieces, the embroidered parements are of outstanding quality.

This is a great museum, and the Crown Jewels on display are amazing. So much history and glamour! Go early when it opens to avoid the crowds. This is not part of the Sisi Museum, so a different ticket is needed. Buy your ticket a day in advance and go in early the next day.

The museum was fantastic and held such wondrous works of art, many of which we had seen in pictures, such as works by Ruebens, Carvaggio and Monet—seeing them in person was incredible. There was so much more to see. We also had lunch in the dining area and it was lovely. A great way to spend a few hours.

This is an amazing place to visit. It is full of incredible exhibits and covers everything you could want to see. The Tapestries are amazing with a description in German and English so easy to understand. There are numerous paintings by some of the greatest painters. The artefacts range from ivory carvings to jewelled vessels and beyond. There is a lovely cafe in the museum which is very elegant. I do not think you can appreciate this in a single day - you need to spend sometime looking and then go back as there is simply so much to see. The actual building is stunning with painted ceilings and amazing marble columns. It is worth a visit what ever your age.

It was an above average museum for me. There were quite a few Crown Jewels and artefacts in the museum. But generally, it was a little crowded with many people blocking my view trying to take photos. Most of my photos taken turned out to be too dark because of the dim lights.
