Views are breath taking, the tour guide David Magnusson agenda was spot on. He was crazy funny and gave you great recommendations where to eat. I will recommend the 8 day trip even if is not enough. Edgar our team leader was extremely helpful and friendly and made our experience so much better. The view underwater is prehistoric and has to seen to be believed! An amazing experience one will never forget!!!! Totally recommend Troll for professionalism, included photos, great equipment and warm changing rooms. My top TIP is book the 0830 slot as it gets very busy after that with so many tour companies. There was a huge lineup when we got out. Even though the water was close to freezing I really didn’t feel cold, just my hands and face a little, but the view under water was so stunning it was easy to forget. It really felt like a very special experience seeing the fissure so close up, and how clear the water is. Highly recommended!Written 19 September 2024

- Discover279713725450 contributionsA happy tour, thanks Svein.I took the Golden Circle day tour (small group) and my guide, Svein Bjorn, was excellent. The trip was much more better than I expected. At the start of the tour, he gave us the schedule for the whole day. On the way to the attractions, he showed us the roadside scenery and stopped for us to take pictures. That's what a small group tour is all about, but not all tour guides can do it. Well done! What's more, Svein also showed us some interesting little spots along the way, which was an added bonus. I've taken part in day tours (small groups) with different companies in Iceland, but Svein is by far the best guide I've ever had! I feel that Svein has successfully shown us Troll's high quality and high standards of service, so I would highly recommend Troll to my friends!Written 18 September 2024

6 day iceland winter= glacial hike + ice cave included
6 day iceland summer= no hike+ ice cave extra pay
Both tours cost the same 198,900 KR. Honestly couldn’t understand why they dont have the same itinerary as the cost is the same.
Traveled in April 2022 so I assumed I was in the summer edition. When the tour brought us for a glacial hike, I was surprised and rechecked the online itinerary ( which they have since changed bec of this incident). Because there is a hike, I assumed I was in the winter edition instead
and as such, the ice cave tour is included and not an extra add on requiring payment. I wrote to the company asking for a refund for the ice cave tour payment since the ice cave should have been included in the winter tour, which I apparently was in. They told me that the ice cave tour was an extra ( despite the itinerary saying otherwise)
and that the summer edition also has a glacial hike (despite the itinerary again saying otherwise)! After that, they shutdown and never answered back re refund.
The company should have been more transparent and refrained from false advertising. If you can’t be honest as a company; then, how can your clients trust you?
The tour itself was not bad. Tour guide Hallur was kind and knowledgeable. Bus comfortable with wifi but without usb charging ports. Hotels mainly 3 star with small rooms and even smaller toilet and bath and without toiletries. Breakfast basic, some hotels with better breakfast than others. Overall not too bad if not for this incident.

Our customer service team has answered about 250+ emails from you since 2019. We tried several times to explain the difference between the summer and winter version of the tours. You were booked on a summer tour and the ice cave is not included. This was informed to you on multiple occasions.
Your fellow travelers on this tour had no problem with the itinerary and all of them had already added the extra activities when booking their tour.
I am very sorry that you feel this way. We tried our best answering the huge amount of emails from you. Take care!

For one been to many American National Parks, I didn’t expect Iceland countryside can impress me. But was I wrong. This tour guide Ionut efficiently take my family to most of the highlight around ring road and for a life time memories I shall not forget. We also make good acquaintances and share many photos, laughters and happy meals together in this unforgettable 6 days journey.

Just like the description states, it was like a friend picked us up and showed us their country with a personal flair that I never expected. Hinrik was our friendly guide and he had smiles and laughs the whole 8 day trip. I swear he knew every Icelander we bumped into! The trip description had certain landmarks and events that we were scheduled for, but on top of that we met some of his friends, saw places off the beaten track and spent time where we wanted to spend time. Ronan was our very sweet French snorkel guide at Silfra. He made our first day an epic adventure. Sven was our Glacier Cave guide and he was so much fun we had fun despite the conditions of the cave. Ossa? Was our Glacier Hike guide. He was very informative.

We had an amazing trip in Iceland! Our guide Johann was fantastic, he is friendly, patient, fun and knowledgeable, he had stopped the vehicle twice for us to be able to spot reindeers, and lot more “bonus stops”… we would like to say a huge thanks to Johann for making our trip so wonderful! Already missing Iceland, can’t wait to go back 🥰

My twelve year old and I had an exceptional time during our 6 day summer tour. Our charismatic guide Gylfi took care of every little detail making sure everyone in the group had a pleasant time. My only regret is not booking a longer tour as you can easily do with another two days to capture even more of what this beautiful country has to offer in summer.

An amazing tour! Every day I was stunned with uniquely spectacular scenery never seen in my life. So unique it made me feel I was on another planet :). I find glacier hiking, whale watching and horse riding most enjoyable, although they were a bit physically challenging to me. We were lucky to have a tour guide, Oskar, who really loves his work. His good planning, constant caring and sense of humor certainly added value to the tour.
A bit of advice : bring enough warm clothing. I went to Iceland in June and it's still rather cold. Good hiking boots and raincoat are essential too.

If you're going to visit Iceland - do it with this tour and Gylfi as your guide. You will leave enriched with spectacular sights and feeling nature in the most beautiful way. With a knowledgeable and engaging guide such as Gylfi, our experience was even greater. From black sand beaches to hiking glaciers, this trip has it all!

Had a wonderful time with the group, we became a family! Well-planned, great activities and accommodations. Above all, a big appreciation to our dear tour guide Gylfi, who has done above and beyond to make sure everyone had fun and felt comfortable and safe, helped us all through covid-related logistics and was a great source of knowledge. We will all miss him and hope to travel with him in the future.

Most wonderful experience! I wasn't a huge fan of tour groups before but had chosen to do so for the convenience due to the busy work schedule. The hotels felt like each one increased in quality than the last. The weather is of course to Iceland's mercy. But I loved every moment and this blew everything out of the waters! Our guide was Jóhann who is just the most amazing person ever. He shared local stories, the language, shared recommendations, and took us to places I wouldn't have thought about that just made this even more special. I loved the group we were in and felt like we were all friends traveling together. We made beautiful memories and would definitely recommend for anyone traveling here for the first time.

John is a great guide, very knowledgeable, very patient and always always happy, with a soft spot for music that we all enjoyed in our journeys. He made sure we knew a lot of history, facts about the places we were visiting.
The trip concentrates a high number of beautiful places that takes your breath away. We did absolutely everything that was planned plus we did some extra stops to visit some extra hidden gems.
Iceland is a great country to visit, but with a guide like John is even better. I would even say he has been the best guide I ever had.
Alex our guide at the glacier for the hike made the experience outstanding. He gave us detailed instructions about how to use the equipment and helping how to adapt it to us very patiently. He also explained different facts about the place that help us learn more. I have loved the whole visit to Iceland but if I had to chose only one thing to highlight it would be the hike to the glacier. It is an experience not to miss.
