Overview

Swim between two continents on this 2-hour snorkeling tour of the Silfra Fissure in Thingvellir National Park. Choose from multiple daily departure times and head to the UNESCO-listed national park to snorkel in the turquoise lake where the North American and Eurasian plates meet. Alongside a PADI-certified guide, you’ll explore the underwater wonderland of Thingvellir National Park, part of Iceland’s Golden Circle, and receive personalized attention in a small group limited to 10 people.

What to Expect

After selecting a departure time between 10am and 2pm, you’ll make your own way to Iceland's UNESCO-listed Thingvellir National Park and greet your guide at the information office.

Here, you’ll receive all the equipment necessary for snorkeling, including dry suits to wear over your clothes, and receive a thorough safety briefing from your PADI-certified instructor.

Once you feel ready to plunge into the turquoise waters surrounding the Silfra Fissure, you’ll don your snorkel and swim in the crystal-clear water for approximately 40 minutes. Gaze to the bottom of the 82-foot (24-meter) ravine, which bridges the gap between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates.

Throughout your snorkeling experience, you'll receive personalized attention in a small group of 10. Conclude at your original departure point in Thingvellir National Park.

Once in a lifetime experience

This was SO cool. I highly recommend. Make sure to dress warm because the water is quite cold, but they give you a dry suit and gear. The guides were fantastic and knowledgeable.
